UHHHHH STEVEN UNIVERSE AU THAT LITERALLY NO ONE ASKED FOR BUT THIS BLOG IS NOTHING IF NOT SELF-INDULGENT

In this AU, Skinny is Gold, an ambassador for the diamonds who isn’t treated as a “real gem” because 1) she’s more of a publicity stunt than anything and 2) she’s a metal, not a gem. She disguises herself as Pyrine (aka Fools’ Gold) to experience gem society without getting gawked at or belittled. Mike, as Blue Tourmaline, is assigned as her bodyguard once the diamonds learn of their little doll getting out one too many times.

Tourmaline is both piezoelectric and pyroelectric, meaning it becomes charged under both stress and heat, hence his electricity powers. Combined with Gold’s conductivity, they make quite the formidable pair.

Their fusion, Turquoise, is based off of self-love. I drew inspiration from the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired by rejoining the pieces with gold filling. The idea is to acknowledge something’s flaws, but make them more beautiful in the process as well as healing it, which represents their relationship really well. They’re their own Knight in Shining Armor.

Oh no, two Rins! Scaring children

For @cainternn thing on insta! I rushed through it and completely forgot what the submission was for, a contest thing I think, but I kinda like how it turned out!

I needed a reason to draw Kazue with out revealing some of the things I have planned XD, but the context its that she can mimic fur and colors.

I finally finished! It took three days and probably over ten hours, but I think it was worth it. Its my second try at rendering/detailed coloring, and I'd say that its pretty good. I love it and I'm proud of it.

This is a small crop from a piece I'm working on. Its my second try at rendering and I'm super excited! Even if its a messy, I somewhat rendered water!!! Now, I would consider that a mini achievement.
