Well, that’s easy!

In Dabo you have three different values. Color, Shape, and Count! You try and get as many overlaps as possible and there’s 3 different versions of each value.

So you could get Red, Blue, or Green, and One, Two, or Three Triangles. If you get a Green single triangle and a Blue double triangle, and then a Blue triple circle that’s two matches, triangle shape and blue color, but you wouldn’t get any number matches. On the wheels there are only 2 icons of each shape which have the same color and count, but there is a Gold version of each shape and count which are basically wild within the icon suite. If you get all three matches in all three categories, that’s a Dabo!

There are also a few special icons. The Swirl counts as being every color, count, and shape! The Nagus icons don’t have colors or counts, but getting a pair gives a bigger payout, and getting all three is a Dabo with a -much- higher payout!

You should avoid Black Hole icons. There are only two of them on the wheels and they only match with themselves or swirls. It’s possible to get a Black Hole Dabo, but it is -very- rare and doesn’t pay out as high as any other kind of Dabo.

Oh, I don’t know, really! Probably when dealing with Quark and one of his schemes... I try to talk him out of them, sometimes, when I find out about them? But he never really listens. I get halfway through telling him not to do something because of the problems it will cause and he gets a new idea -from- me telling him to stop!

That is -so- Sweet of you to say! I’ve actually been worried that I might be too nice and lenient and wind up making Bena feel like she can walk over her moogie. So I did some holosuite parenting courses with Rom and a few with Cassidy.

The human-centric ones seemed a lot more reasonable than the Ferengi ones! I’m not above chewing my child’s food, but I’m not going to go naked to prevent a “Clothing Rash” regardless of how many times the holo-educator repeats it!

Bena, yes!

It means “Joy” in Bajoran, and “Underflooring” in Ferengi, but Rom says it’ll be cute once she’s underfoot.

And we’re also naming her after the Emissary, @sisko-suggestion He’s done so much for us…
