What is IoT?
Nowadays everyone is busy making their own life easier by updating with the latest trends and technology. If we want to stay ahead of the pack we have to acquire these changes. Before few years one needs to stand in the queue to pay their bills but now it is possible to pay the bill through smartphones from anywhere and anytime and it is possible because of advancement in technology. Internet of thing which often called IoT is one of the technology advancement which taking our future to the next level. It is simple to mean that “everything is connected”. The billions of physical devices surrounding us are connecting to the internet, collecting and sharing data.
So what are those IoT devices? Any devices which are connected to the internet is called IoT devices. E.g Light bulbs, TV, refrigerators, washing machine, etc which are controlled by smartphone app are IoT devices.
So how IoT system works? The system which contains Sensors or devices, connectivity system, data processing units and the user interface is called IoT system. Firstly Sensors collects the information from its environment e.g temperature sensor collects the information about up and down of temperature. This collected data is sent to the cloud. Further, some software will do data processing on it and the next information is made possible to end user e.g alert when the temperature exceeds.
Now many big players and IoT consulting companies are coming with the next-generation solution in the market. Such as IoT with AI and Machine learning are taking next level steps in intelligent development.

Connected Home : IoT and AI Making Everyday Appliances Smarter
Day by Day technologies like IoT and Artificial Intelligence making our life easier and this technologies encourages home appliances to obey our orders. Devices like washing machine, lights, speakers, TVs, and cameras could communicate with you, send information to you and work on your commands even from distant place. IoT is one of the major area of digital evolution projects in the consumer electronics and home appliances industry. With the addition of smart devices and appliances, and with capabilities in sensing, connectivity, and data transmission, people can interact, collect, and analyze highly valuable data to automate various operations at connected home, which were previously performed manually.
Smart Appliances using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Today, technology has evolved to such an extent that there’s a possibility to design meaningful collaboration between humans and machines, primarily due to advancements in AI. Moreover, digital assistants, also called virtual assistants, work on voice-controlled AI, which can do functions like searching the internet, making calls, and connecting to other devices. These assisted devices can be embedded into smartphones or can also be used as a standalone device. This is a great approach to enhance and automate with working of home appliances.

Avionics Engineering Services - Model-based Design (MBD) of Mission-critical Avionics
In avionics industry because of recent evolution in hardware and software engineering have brought prominent levels of control, monitoring and communication functionality. Today’s complex avionics engineering services focuses on digitization and analytics where as an earlier era of document centric system engineering.
Avionics engineering services offers most critical job for avionics engineer that is to ensure the robustness of systems, their management and control where there is big challenge to express highly integrated architecture in Interface Control Document (ICD) because there are number of protocols, functions and software /hardware redundancies. It became most challenges while working on requirements based on texts alone and more punishing to maintain task of document.
Here we are about to discuss how model based design (MDB) method changes this scenario in system engineering for avionics which further helpful in detecting defects at far early stage. More here, Model Based Design
