I'm bad at using this blog, so here's my almost annual update on the "label":

Last post was March of 2021, two of the releases never came to fruition. The Caade release I'm still hoping gets finished, however I'm no long releasing the Pozole tape (implying they'll ever do anything ever again, either way I don't care).

But here's what's came out:

LHP-054 - B.S. Wright - The Principals of Thought Control B.S. Wright is the most criminally underrated electronic musician in DFW. A big, mutated pot of cybernetic goo. Get with it, or don't? Ltd to 25

LHP-060 - Domvan - Of Late Donovan of many, many Denton bands you've probably enjoyed in the last decade with his collection of Jangle Pop bedroom recordings made in 2020 isolation. Housed in those sick, oversized, soft vinyl cases. Ltd to 25

LHP-061 - Blood Tower - Therianthropic Spell The evil that lurks behind the rows of corn in Nebraska. EP that Bill put on bandcamp and he graciously allowed me to put out. Its the Blood Tower you know to expect and love. Ltd to 50

LHP-062 - Gort - At the Cliffs • In the Pools • At the Vines EP from this very avant-garde USBM project. Patrick of Oil Spill/Duskseeker guests on this. Ltd to 50 LHP-063 - Duskseeker - Spiralscape Speaking of Patrick, his bizarro symphonic Black Metal Opus. Very strange black metal but at the same time the Emperor influence shines brightly. Ltd to 50

LHP-064 - BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE - Winner's Cup Third pressing of "Bronze" cassettes of BH//BK's 2016 masterpiece. The K.A.R.P. sounds shine through in this noise rock meets sludge trio of Denton's favorite boys. Ltd to 25

LHP-065 - Mauvewand - Mauvewand Debut (and swansong?) by this White Magick dungeon synth artist from Denton, Texas. Let her lead you into the world of magic and fairies. Ltd to 25

LHP-066 - Dreaming Machine - A Dull Ache You Call Existence Debut two song demo from this USBM duo. Equal parts lush Summoning worship as well as general DSBM. Ltd to 50.

LHP-067 - Coke Jaw - Completely Fucked Seeing to it this troupe of Hamilton Steelfuckers release their 2017 magnum opus of stupid Powerviolence superiority. It's nine minutes and its dumb as shit. Ltd to 25

LHP-068 - The Tooth - Cascade Effect Oklahoma City, metalcore? Math metal? Sludge? Idk what to really call it, except that it rocks. Ltd to 25

LHP-069 - Infernal Legions Of Mordor – 311 Bygone Tales From The Realm Of Sauron Here it is, a hot stinking mess, 311 songs, over 100 different artists contributing to this. Housed in VHS boxes with zines. Ltd to 50.

Since the last post, in what I assume was April of 2020, Left Hand Path has released 11 tapes, and reissued one. Detailed below:

LHP-048 Infernal Legions of Mordor - Exiled From The Kingdom, Isolated for the Good of the Land. 69 Song EP made in the short period where Quarantine was taken seriously in Texas. Wrote and recorded, April of 2020. Ten copies were made, repress at some point?

LHP-051 The Earth Dies Screaming - Ubik. Four track swansong to TEDS career. Recorded in 2014, physically released in summer of 2020. Limited to 25, sold out from label.

LHP-052 Jack Onion - Ambient Works 1. Hour and a half odyssey of ambient music. Music recorded over the past few years, arranged in a new way and given new context. Sold out from label

LHP-053 Mater Immortalibus - Passage. Sort, Blackened Oi! project made by the late Calla Lee Hansen of Bad Example fame. Recorded in the spring of 2020, limited to 50 copies, sold out from the label.

LHP-055 CBN/Infernal Legions of Mordor. CBN from Omaha, and ILM from Denton both bring uncharacteristic, ten minute slabs of unsettling and strange music. 50 copies, still available.

LHP-056 Children's Letters To God - Pulling The Knife Out Of My Back. New screamo project from Austin ft members of Innards and Exhalants. Limited to 25, still available

LHP-057 Stone Chamber - Disinter. Five song demo of new Black Metal project from Denton that is equal parts Isenguard as it is Ildjarn. Limited to 50 copies, sold out from label.

LHP-059 Jake R. Dunwoody - Singin' For The Spirits. Three song live cassette of J.R. Dunwoody of Effluvium and Satanic Abortion fame performing country covers in a cemetery during the witching hour. Private release, sold out.

Near Neptune - Dare To Soar

Near Neptune began life as Fierce Band! in Denton, Texas in 2010. Jazz influenced Progressive Metal bouncing around technical and abstract ideas. In 2011 they shifted into a more Technical Death Metal bend when the trio implemented vocals, recording an EP and a demo before changing the name over to Near Neptune. 

The material here is thought to be lost material from the 2012 Demo, the last material made with vocals before the band turned instrumental once more. 

25 copies will be released on cassette in December 2018

NOT DEAD BUT THRIVING

Greetings and felicitations, It has been a minute since this blog has been updated (possibly a year or more lol). The last post on here detailed things to come “Fall 2016″ which never came. bellow are some things that have since come to fruition and their current availability as well as things to come from this “label”

LHP-022 - Left Hand Path Mixtape. While not the first thing out on this label named that, this is the first that I made more than five copies of. A bunch of jams and bangers I was feeling spring 2016. Still available to anyone wanting one LHP-023 - Cancerian Moon - Demonstration of Alchemic Knowledge Debut from this NTX duo, m/o Nihilistic Fit among others. Ignorant black metal bookended with dungeon synth. Recorded May 2017, and co-released with Pharm House LTD a month later. Cassette is sold out and unknown how many were ever produced. Pharm House maybe producing a re-press of this LHP-024 - W.R.M. - Into The Gaping Maw of the Summer Solstice Initially slated for release Fall 2016, this cassette was pushed back substantially. Recorded in June of 2016, this is W.R.M.’s noise debut, recording the sounds of a forest dying and cranking them into oblivion. Twenty copies made in over sized bags, a few remain in the new webstore LHP-025 - Gag - ! LIVE ! VHS of Gag playing in Fort Worth summer of 2014. Unknown quantities made. LHP-026 - The Sentenced - Live! 10.11.13 VHS of The Sentenced fall 2013, unknown quantities made LHP-027 - D.L.I.M.C. - Live At 4:20 In The Am At This Is Austin Not That Great VHS of D.L.I.M.C. playing their debut at This Is Austin Not That Great, 69 copies made, sold out and I’m not making more. LHP-028 - Everything Is Not OK III Comp of footage I took at EINOK III before my camera said goodnight. Probably twenty or so made, a few left. LHP-029 - Warm Bodies - Alive In The Lions Den VHS of the best band in KCMO playing my favorite venue in Denton. Too many of these left. Hmu LHP-031 - Vernal Tombs - Her Shield Is Thunder Two of my oldest and dearest friend’s summertime black metal project from four years ago. Done in the vein of Wolves in the Throne Room and the likes. Epic, triumphant black metal and unfortunately their only recording. Twenty-five copies out on cassette, maybe more at some point. In honor of my fallen friend and member of this band Erin Vernon. Carry on my friend, where-ever you are now. UPCOMING LHP-030 - Paranoid Anxieties 4 Yes, it’s happening. Hour and a half of seven months of footage from the shithole known as the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. This will be the final Paranoid Anxieties. Out sometime this fall. LHP-032 - Swine Flu - Death Rattle The Flu’s debut on LHP and probably not their last either. Ten minutes of the SF playing in the concrete coffin known as The Shed recorded directly to cassette, no over dubs, no mastering, no quality. Released in oversized cassette boxes with zine and poster. Ltd to 25, out November LHP-033 - Osokori - The Only Church That Illuminates Is A Burning One Cassette debut from Denton Blackened Noise duo. Made in hatred of posers, the church and those who used DIY as means for personal gain. Baja & The Blasters-Alive In Springfield USA CS - new blasters CS, first run features 100 single-sided tapes. Only 20 will be online. Working on getting some to distros soon.

Soy Babies-Demo CS - Last five of these bastards made. The band doesn’t like these recordings anymore so once these are up, you’ll have to wait until the record.
