Like the Sun Misses the Stars: A Series of Letters || Fade

A few of my friends and I are driving up to Cape Cod for about three days and Chris is taking Tate, Reece and I to Florida for about a week. I’m also seeing the Black Keys on July 9th and a few other bands that come around. Chris was also thinking of visiting you guys in Poland for a few days, but I think he’s still undecided. I guess you could say I’m going to be a bit busy, but I do plan on taking things day by day as well. How about you, are you doing anything exciting?

Hey, I’m glad. Stressed out Faith certainly wouldn’t be good at all. Oh right, the fact that you guys over in Europe don’t go by grades always seems to slip my mind. So yes, junior year is eleventh grade or the second to last year of high school. What would that be over in England, again? That’s correct, this time next year I’ll be finished with high school. Shit, as exciting as that is, it’s also a bit scary. I can’t wait to be on my own and be able to truly make my own decisions, but thinking of all the stresses like paying off student loans and supporting myself has been getting to me lately, for some reason. I’d love if you’d keep me informed about all of Tanner’s potential girlfriends, seeing as he really hasn’t gone into great detail about Heather or Sophie lately, haha.

You should read ahead of the whole class, and not tell anyone, so everyone is completely shocked when you’re able to analyze it and they can’t. That’s what I would do if I were you, at least. You’re right, sending letters is much better than emailing. The anticipation of receiving a letter in the mail has a nice old fashioned vibe and (almost) gives me the insight of what it was like to live prior to modern technology.

Those both sound like lots of fun! Cape Cod always sounded so lovely, and from what I’ve heard Florida is quite nice as well. Very warm too, which should be nice for swimming and such things. Really? That’s so cool! I love them, especially ‘Tighten Up’.Take lots of photos, maybe? If he does decide on it then that would be awesome. I’ve heard that Poland is quite lovely in the summer, so I’m sure you would enjoy it. All of you, really. It sounds like you’re in for a very fun summer. I still haven’t found out exactly how summer around here works, but I’ve just started helping out at the children’s center in town, so I hope to continue doing that. It’s great fun, really. Other than that, I hope to continue dancing and see if they’ll let me out to visit one of the beaches nearby.

Hah, no, she certainly wouldn’t be. It’s a bit hard to keep up on, really. It’s quite different here. We start a year before, so things are a bit wonky. We don’t exactly have high school, per se, but after our initial seven ‘primary’ years, we only have to complete four more years. Then, if you’d like, you can continue for another two. I’m going to say that you would be in year four, probably. That’s what I’m in, after all. I can imagine that it is! While the freedom will certainly be nice, there is definitely a lot more responsibility to deal with. I’d try not to worry too much about it, though. Just enjoy the time you have left not to worry about such things, yeah? Well, Sophie was over with soup the other day since he wasn’t feeling well, so I guess that’s something. She seemed quite nervous about it, which makes me wonder what exactly happened.

What a wonderful plan! I’ll surprise the class and my teacher something awful, aha! Yes, it really does. While I’m definitely fond of the Internet and working showers, sometimes it is nice just to step back a bit from modern technology. Letter writing is perfect.

It really is. I mean, it’ll be fun to explore this place and learn a bit of Polish, but it does seem a bit bland in this town. I’m going to, yeah! I’m positive I’ll make the team.

It’s been pretty nice so far, especially because I don’t have to take finals like everyone else here. And it seems like a lot of people here like me so far, so that’s good.
