Elizabeth Warren took a tumble on the Senate floor this week and received immediate assistance from an unlikely fellow politician.Â
On Wednesday, July 30, live television cameras caught the 76-year-old Democratic senator, who represents Massachusetts, standing on the Senate floor as she and others gathered to vote on two resolutions to block military sales to Israel, per Fox News
After waving to someone off-camera, Warren crossed her arms and leaned back onto a desk that was behind her.Â
Seconds later, she lost her balance as the desk moved and she began bracing herself from the fall.Â
Several people were seen hurrying to help Warren, including Susan Collins of Maine and Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who grabbed her by her forearm to lift her up. Cruz and Warren have often publicly disagreed on key issues in the past.
Reps for Warren and Cruz did not immediately respond to PEOPLEâs requests for comment.Â
