the interesting thing about seidous design is the fact hes hooded, but not masked. a hood implies a character who wants to hide, ashamed of his face—but thats so striking in a series where masks are so prevalent. theres a lot of visual storytelling in that design choice

tacking this on before i forget—masks are something that ghouls wear to maintain their survival. cultural anonymity. what does that say then, that seidou has no need for the pretense? that hes an outsider? that his identity doesnt need to be hidden? that he doesnt want to live? theres a lot you can extrapolate from that designwise
