Love Me (2025-26)

There's alot of good scenes and some real heart, especially from Seo Hyun-jin.

But the show had some problems...

What Worked

The first 4-5 episodes were very good. The lead love story between Seo Hyun-jin's character and Chang Ryul's character was fun to watch. The rest of the story was pretty heavy watching, dipping heavily into melodrama, but at least it had some interesting choices that you don't usually see in a K-Drama. I also liked the more mature romance that showed up as well.

What Didn't Work

And then they kind of ran out of story with 8 episodes left to fill. It basically had all the standard tropes: love triangles, scheming exes, unfair working conditions, mysterious illnesses, etc. Basically, the tools that can work in moderation but quickly become too much when used in every single episode.

TL; DR:

If you've been missing Seo Hyun-jin in a nice love story, it's worth a look, but you should definitely calibrate your enthusiasm once you hit the back half of the drama.

dorian is such a hard oc to place in my main verse because he's not only arthuros' most faithful servant but his existence in the main canon completely goes against everything arthuros stands for

but in a way isn't that interesting? why would arthuros, someone who hates mortalkind with such vitriol and conviction, let a human get close to him, but serving him? what does he get out of this arrangement?

when the time comes where he finally unmakes the world, what happens to his most faithful? does arthuros spare him, basically rendering his big plan moot leaving one human alive (aside from obviously clementine)? or does he annihilate one of the only mortals that genuinely helped him without question or resistance? he'd grieve that loss, whether he knows it or not. gosh it's so juicy.

this one actually kinda stumped me. because you'd think it should be a romance fic in some way which it probably still could be but at the same time. I have no clue for this one. maybe a Battinson universe Batcat fic?? where it's less about surviving the relationship and more about the two of them separately reckoning with the fact that they care about each other + the possibility of losing each other due to the nature of vigilantism
