The Grateful Dead - Cool Parts 1966-1995

Some general Grateful Dead situations for you … Firstly, I wrote a long overview of Jerry Garcia’s solo side trips for this recent Ultimate Music Guide dedicated to the Dead. I just received my copy and it is a very fun read. Worth your hard-earned cash! 

Next, we’ve got the supremely heady Cool Parts 1966-1995, from your friend and mine Jesse Jarnow. It’s a “chronological whirl through the furthest out parts of the grateful dead & their side trips, from the 1st acid test tape to the last show, with sounds from each year in between …” Check out the audio or go fully freaky with a “light show” accompanied version on YouTube with visuals by Juggable Offense. Jesse is also in the midst of the second season of his Good Ol’ Grateful Deadcast, digging extremely deep into American Beauty. I’ve gotta catch up!
