You ever wonder if Makoto thinks back to the time Laurent offered to share his umbrella back in Singapore. And has a revelation.

“Wait a minute! Were you hitting on me that day?!”

Then there’s Laurent, who immediately stops what he’s doing and gives Makoto a look that practically screams, ‘Are you serious?’

“Yes Edamame. I was very much hitting on you that day! I was also hitting on you several times in L.A. Specifically that time in the car with the gear shift. Or when I had you try on that suit in the clothing store. Then there’s also the promise I made to you back on Cynthia’s island!”

Makoto is just dumbfounded.

“Seriously?!”

Laurent resists the urge to facepalm.

“Three years. It took you three years to figure it out, Makoto! And I wasn’t even subtle about it! Hell, I was hitting on you five minutes ago when you asked me to help with grinding the coffee beans and I told you I’m good with my hands!”
