I was gaslit by the internet into thinking “The Rescuers: Down Under” was an underrated classic that blows its predecessor out of the water. I loved the first movie so I thought I’d give it a watch and was sorely disappointed.

It felt almost ashamed of being tied to the first one, so it does its own thing in this very flashy unfunny fashion that feels like dangling keys in front of your face (looking at you, vaguely German rodent). The one thing I’ll say is an improvement are the villains; I love Madame Medusa and Mister Snoops, but McCleach and Joanna are comedy gold and the bright spot in this god forsaken movie.

I’m actually so sick of seeing it every time time I wanna look up Kinger. I hate how it portrays Caine just,, taking advantage of Kinger’s disability. bringing up Queenie, treating her like a joke or an obstacle, writing Caine as this insufferable man child (basically just him in episode 8 but way worse), in every goddamn fanart Kinger looks super uncomfortable, I’m sorry I’m so fucking tired Of that ship. it’s fucking annoying and pretty gross sometimes.
