NANAMI HEAD CANON: SPECIAL PART
Note: English isn't my first language so might contain mistakes. Might be ooc but I tried to keep it as accurate as a dream Nanami would want. Contains third person narrative and details of reincarnation.
Also, can you guys please let me have a good reach on TikTok as well, pookies? *Puppy eyes* Either way I'd keep posting if I don't feel too lazy. But do tell me if my writing is good or not.
WHAT SHOULD I WRITE NEXT? ANGST OR HAPPY ENDING AND WHICH CHARACTER?
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
[EPILOGUE]
On a particular bright and pleasant day, where two kids are playing in the garden. A girl with wheat colored hair and hazel eyes and a boy with dark brown hair and green eyes. Suspiciously familiar.
"Mia-chan." A voice calls out from a distance, walking toward them. Soft, polite and full of love.
"Haibara-chan. Dinner's ready, come eat."
The two kids kept playing and giggling.
As the figure watches them continue to play despite her calling, she sighs. And just then she felt a strong arm wrapping around her waist. She looks up with a smile.
"Say something to your kids. Thy don't listen to me" she complains and he just chuckles slightly.
"Come on now, kids. Do not tease your mom."
As they both look up at each other, both their hearts feel something familiar. Like this isn't their first time together. Like they've met before. Like this was always meant to be like that.
When the kids finally finish playing, they hold their parents hands and the little family walk back to their house happily.
It looks strangely familiar. Like it was always meant to be like this. And maybe it did, because in another universe, two souls, who never got their ending together but never stopped loving each other anyway, finally having the life they always dreamed of.
Them. Happily married. Two kids—a son and a daughter. Their kids named exactly as what those two lovers decided. And it feels like heaven have finally decided to give peace to those poor souls who found their way to each other in another life even if they didn't remember anything.
Perhaps some promises are never forgotten.
Even after death.
Even after another lifetime.
Maybe love never truly disappears.
Maybe it simply waits... until two souls find each other again.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Okay now I used Haibara because his death in the anime tugs at my heart and since he was so close to Nanami so there could have been a possibility of Nanami naming his son after him.
If only he got his happy ending, he would have been such a sweet and gentle dad. I'm bawling my eyes out, I MISS HIM!!

SUGGESTION TIME!!! Which character should I do next? And do we need angst or a happy ending???
×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
The reality is your body overworked itself. You maximized all your powers at once and your body wasn't strong enough for that. You were never trained to use your full powers. Your body wasn't used to bearing that much power. So naturally, when you used your powers all at once without ever knowing what they were or what they did, your body lost all it's strength. Your brain cannot take the after effects.
"Y/n.. y/n keep your eyes open. Look at me. You will be fine." Nanami says still in that composed tone but the way he's holding you betrays the hints of how desperate he is now.
"Nanami.." your voice breaks out in choked whispers, every word coming out with drops of blood. Even breathing has become hard now.
You reach out for his arms, your fingers weakly holding them, your eyes barely opened, tears prickling at the corners.
"Why.. why did you do that? What ..did I..lack?"
"Why was I not enough?" There. That question. The question that has been eating you alive all these months finally out now.
And Nanami? He wasn't even trying to stay composed anymore. He's holding onto you so tightly, his head dropped lower and tears falling down his eyes. God, you were enough for him. More than enough actually. You were all he ever loved and wanted.
"You were enough, y/n.."
"..then why? Your voice sounds so broken it feels like stabs to Nanami's heart.
The reason he did that wasn't because he stopped loving you.
It was because he loved you too much.
Ever since he entered your life, you had slowly stopped caring about proving yourself. The cruel words of others no longer affected you because you had someone who accepted you exactly as you were. You no longer pushed yourself as hard as before because, with Nanami beside you, you finally felt enough.
But to Nanami... that wasn't enough.
Every time he saw people look down on you, every time they called you weak, he wished you would prove them wrong. Not for their sake, but for yours. He wanted you to become stronger—not because he was disappointed in you, but because he wanted you to survive and to prove yourself.
And somewhere between that..
Was fear.
Grade One sorcerers don't retire.
They die.
Nanami knew that better than anyone.
He knew that one day, his own death would come. And when it did, he was terrified of what it would do to you.
He knew how deeply you loved him.
He knew you would break.
And he couldn't bear the thought of leaving you with that pain.
So he made the decision that broke him the most.
He chose to leave.
He believed that if he walked away, you would stop relying on him. You would grow stronger. You would learn to protect yourself, even if it meant hating him for the rest of your life.
The woman you had seen that day was never someone he loved.
She was simply the owner of a small bakery he visited regularly. After injuring her shoulder, Nanami recommended her to a doctor and she had asked Nanami to accompany her there because she trusted him. There had never been anything more between them.
When you misunderstood what you saw, he wanted to explain.
He wanted to tell you the truth.
But then he thought it was the right moment. He wanted to leave you anyway so be it like this.
If he cleared the misunderstanding, he knew he would never be able to leave you. And if he had to break up with you himself, he knew he wouldn't have the strength to do it. Hearing those words coming out of his mouth would have left you devastated and he couldn't hurt you like that, not even in his dream.
So he stayed silent...
...and walked away.
Not because he had stopped loving you.
But because he loved you too much.
Yet in trying to protect you, he had done the very thing he feared most.
He had broken your heart.
And now, as he held your fragile body in his arms, he realized that leaving you hadn't protected you at all.
His biggest fear was losing the person he loved, and in trying to protect her from that future, he became the reason she spent months suffering—and still couldn't save her in the end.
The truth is Nanami never stopped loving you. Everyday he woke up with the thoughts of you and every night he went to sleep with imagining your face. But he thought it's better this way because to him, it looked like he finally protected you by keeping them away. But seems like he was wrong. He hurt you then and you are hurt now too. Him leaving didn't change anything because either way you got hurt.
You were left brutally heartbroken when he left you and now you were the one dying too. Again the irony. How he once used to think he'd die and you'll be crying over him is now actually you dying and him breaking.
As he finishes telling you the real reason finally, you could only manage to let out a weak smile. "Idiot.."
"Look at me. Stay. God, I never once hated you. I still hate myself for hurting you like that but please, please stay with me. Please y/n.. please I need you..."
The man who never showed overdramatic emotions or lost his composure was now holding you desperately and begging the heavens to save you, to give you life.
"Please, y/n.. I love you.." and as those words left his mouth is you taking your final breath. That smile still staying on your face because during your last hitch was those words coming in your ears and in your last moments you finally know that the man you still loved after all that never really stopped loving you.
You couldn't say those words back but god and heavens knew you never fully stopped loving him. And as Nanami sat there, holding your lifeless body against his chest the tunnel fell silent. For the first time in his life, the man who always kept his composure cried without restraint. And as your soul reaches the sky, you linger a moment longer, looking at him with a smile and quietly promising to yourself that you'll look after him for all the years he'll live forward.
TIME SKIP:
Nanami lived for another forty-five years after that.
Every single day, he carried your memories with him.
He never married.
He never loved another woman.
Partly because he was afraid it might disturb your soul...
But mostly because his heart had always belonged to you.
There was simply no room for anyone else.
On the days when exhaustion weighed heavily on him, a gentle breeze would suddenly brush past him.
It always felt as though you were quietly comforting him.
And on the nights when regret, guilt, and longing became too much to bear, one particular star always seemed to shine a little brighter than the rest.
As if you were telling him...
"It's okay."
"I'm still here."
Those small moments were enough to bring a rare smile to his face.
Nanami continued moving forward with life.
But every night, before closing his eyes, he carried one silent wish in his heart.
To see you again.
Somehow...
That hope alone was enough to let him sleep peacefully.
And then...
One quiet night, as he slowly closed his eyes to rest, it felt as though Heaven had finally answered his prayers.
He saw a bright figure and a face that was even beautiful that it already was and her face now had angelic features. He takes her hand as she extends hers to him, he gets up from bed and follows after her to wherever she was leading him. And together they move forward to big steel, magnificent gates. And when they two finally stepped inside, hands in hands?
Nanami took his final breath.
A peaceful smile rested upon his face.
The woman he had longed to see for forty-five years had finally come to take him in his last moments. To bring him home.
Together...
You stepped into eternity.

HEAD CANON| NANAMI AS YOUR LOVER WHO BROKE YOUR HEART
PART TWO: unexpected meetup with your ex lover. What will possibly happen?
Note: English isn't my first language so might include mistakes. This is a work of pure fiction and my personal concept so it might contain ooc moments.
This was the first time you'd seen him since the breakup.
A rush of emotions overwhelmed you. For a brief moment, your mind went blank, forgetting what to do. But the feeling didn't last long.
Reality hit.
You were standing inside that underground tunnel.
He was here.
Why?
Because he was fighting a curse.
And then you remembered.
You had heard rumors about something happening in Shibuya, but you had ignored them. None of it concerned you anymore.
Fate, however, had a cruel sense of humor.
It had dragged you right back into the world you had sworn never to return to.
A Special Grade curse stood before you, locked in battle with Nanami until your sudden arrival caught both of their attention.
You forced yourself to come back to your senses.
Your eyes drifted to him once again.
He was looking at you.
Tired.
Exhausted.
And a hint of something else. Something that didn't quite look emotionless like the eyes of the man who betrayed you.
You look away abruptly, scolding your mind for imagining things. And when you look back at him you see that.. Nanami's hurt.
God, after all he had done, it still manage to hurt you because HE was hurt.
Because he looked so small.
Because he looked.. innocent. God, that's torture. You can't feel like that after what he did to you.
From what you could tell, the curse was winning.
Nanami needed help.
Good.
For one fleeting moment, you considered leaving him there. To let him die there. A part of you whispered that he deserved it.
But...
You couldn't.
Because he was the man you loved with all your heart.
The only man you ever loved.
And probably still did even after what he did.
Your heart didn't give you permission to leave. No matter how much your mind begged your feet to move, they remained rooted to the ground.. And that angered you more than anything because you were still feeling soft and pity for the man who left you without a second thought.
The anger inside you keeps growing. To the point you can feel your body burning. And the anger you were feeling towards Nanami, every ounce of it was directed toward the curse.
Your first attack landed brutally, it wasn't like any attack you had ever landed before.
It was one only a Special Grade sorcerer could unleash.
___________________________________
Attack after attack. You were finally worthy enough of fighting a special grade curse. And the fight started equally. A brutal one. Nanami falls into step beside you, despite being hurt, to help you because he couldn't let you fight alone.
You were so angry you could destroy the whole city. And the more angry you got, the more your powers increased. Turns out, the secret to reach your real powers was unfiltered rage. And look at the irony? The girl who never got angry at anything, who never even hurt a bug was supposed to unleash her real strength through anger and rage. The realization hit like the fate itself was mocking you.
And maybe that's why you could become nothing more than a 3rd grade because you never got caught up in your emotions, you never got angry enough to land a punch or throw sharp words at anyone.
Together you both manage to finally exorcise the spirit. The threat around you seemed to go away for now. Now, it's just you and him. You don't know what to do now. You avoid eye contact with him, feeling dizzy.
"Y/n..." He starts softly, holding his wounded arm, covered in blood.
You shut your eyes tightly, you can't feel soft for him. You can't feel bad for the man who left you like you never mattered.
"..Thank you"
"Don't" you turn your face away sharply, your tone desperately trying to stop itself from sounding weak but sharp.
He sighs because he knows he deserves it. After all, he's the one who left without proper explanation.
Your head pounded.
Every breath became heavier than the last.
Your body suddenly felt impossibly light.
As though all the strength had been drained from it.
Your vision blurred.
Before you could understand what was happening, your knees gave out beneath you.
Everything tilted.
Just before you hit the ground, strong arms wrapped around you.
"Y/N." He sounded concerned, so different for a man who broke your heart and you found yourself wrapped softly but securely in his arms. Blood trickled from the corner of your mouth now. And after months of pain, you were finally held in the arms of the man you loved once again.
What even is fate thinking?

HEAD CANON | NANAMI AS YOUR LOVER WHO BROKE YOUR HEART
Synopsis: He throws away 8 years of sweet time suddenly. And the karma has different plans.
Note: English isn't my first language so might include mistakes. This is a work of pure fiction and my personal concept so it might contain ooc moments.
PART ONE
The love you and Nanami had for each other wasn't some fleeting crush or temporary feelings but actual strong one.
Nanami was the type of man you couldn't find even if you went out to find with a lamp. Caring. Sweet. Understanding. And dependable.
Yeah, he did have his bad-reserved, didn't talk unnecessary and emotionless looking. But that couldn't stop him from being the gentleman he was.
The day you two got together wasn't some big gesture or planned beforehand. It was the vulnerability and softness of the moment. Being together since day 1 when you joined jujutsu high, going to every mission together, caring for each other in your own way and somewhere between that the love bloomed quietly that came out that one specific night when you two were walking back to campus after another mission.
"Nanami, you're the best man I've ever seen. I want to stay friends with you forever"
After a beat, in that same composed tone of his with a hint of softness underneath.
"So do I."
"You make spending every day worth it"
"And you make life worth living." That's it. No grand speech, no nothing. Just that sweet but true confession which no one thought would ever come from Nanami, which he himself hadn't plan to say, not now or maybe never?
And under the night sky, the moon and the stars witnessed two souls finally finding their way to each other and becoming something they were always meant to be.
Dating Nanami was so easy, so good. He never needed grand words. He remembered how you took your coffee, noticed when you skipped lunch, and silently stood beside you whenever the missions became too heavy. He took care of you like you were a fragile petal.. If you ever got hurt during missions, he'd hold your hand and whisper sweet nothings and everything to make you feel good even if the wounds weren't that serious. Nanami never raised his voice at you. He never talked rudely. He was so careful with everything he never made you feel insecure once in your relationship. And he certainly wasn't the type to ever be unfaithful.
So maybe that's why, seeing him with another woman that day, looking close, and seeing him return that smile—the one you once believed belonged only to you—shattered something inside you. It broke your heart into pieces. You asked him about her, you stood there clutching your heart, tears streaming down non stop, hoping he'd prove you wrong, that he'd hold you in his arms again and say you were just overthinking and that you'll wake up and it'll all just be a bad dream. But nothing happened. And worse, he didn't deny your assumptions. And when he turned his back on you and left with her? You broke so bad you were sure the heavens could feel the pain and screams. How could he do this? How could he leave you like that? After all you've been through, after all the sweet time and memories, after he confirmed he was the one for you..so how? Why? Why weren't you enough for him? What did you lack?
The two questions haunted your soul everyday. You stopped working at jujutsu high after that because how can you be near him after that. You stopped being a sorcerer at all. You distanced yourself from the world of sorcery completely.
Everyday was like a torture to you. Forgetting the man you loved for 8 years was not easy. Every day ended with you screaming, resisting the urge to pull your hair or just take your heart out because that stupid heart was the real problem. Who was stubborn enough to not move on.
_____________________________________
Months have passed since your breakup.. You have been working in a cafe now. Every day followed the same routine— wake up, go to work, serve customers, come back, change, eat and go to sleep. Keeping yourself busy helped. It kept your mind away from thoughts of him, at least while you were working. But no matter how full your days became, a heavy feeling lingered in your chest, refusing to leave.
One afternoon, when you were busy doing your work, you see a girl getting bothered by a curse. At first, you decided to ignore it because you weren't a sorcerer anymore. You don't want to start it again, it felt so bitter because sorcery is what brought you to Nanami. But you couldn't help it. The more you looked at her, the more you saw yourself in her. A simple girl who only wanted to live a peaceful life, yet was constantly haunted by society's cruel words and endless judgment.
The truth was, you had been born with the potential to become a Special Grade sorcerer. But fate had played a cruel joke on you—Heavenly Restriction. Yours wasn't like Toji's or Maki's. Unlike them, your Heavenly Restriction didn't simply replace your cursed technique with overwhelming physical strength. Instead, it sealed away your true potential. It blessed you with extraordinary reflexes and a brilliant mind, yet robbed you of the ability to understand your own cursed technique. Until you discovered what that power truly was, it would remain locked away. As a result, the strength you could actually use was no different from that of an ordinary Third Grade sorcerer. To the world, you were nothing more than a disappointment. They mocked you, called you weak and useless, while you quietly endured every insult without arguing back. You were simply too kind to hate them for it.
When Nanami came into your life, everything changed. Not visibly but quietly. He never mocked you. Always helped you in training. And appreciated you after your successful missions and eliminating curses even if they were grade 8. Due to this, the comments of the people didn't hurt you anymore and you stopped blaming yourself or overstressing yourself into becoming strong because you finally had someone who saw the strength in you, who accepted you as you were and still loved you. He healed the broken part of your heart so quietly.
So now, after he left you like that, the pain, the memories.. everything just became so bitter. So how can you go back to that world again? Even if it meant exorcising one curse.
Yet, you couldn't bring yourself to ignore her. You were just so kind to let someone else get hurt in front of your eyes so you decided to help her.
You stepped out of the cafe, walking over to the girl and taking the charge after hiding her somewhere. The curse wasn't that strong but it wasn't too weak either. You struck first then again. Using your powers after so many days felt hard but you managed to land successful attacks on it thankfully. Realizing he was losing, the curse fled. Now, you could have stopped there because the curse was gone. But it wasn't finished fully. And he could have come back to hurt the girl again or maybe bother someone else. That thought didn't let you walk away. So instead, you ran after it.
_______________________________________
You were still quick enough to keep up. And after 20 minutes of chasing the curse, you reached an underground tunnel. As you ran a few more steps to catch up to it, you are suddenly stopped in your track. Your eyes locked on the figure in front of you. For a moment, your world seemed to stop. Everything around you seemed to disappear. And in that moment was just you and the figure standing in front of you.
The man you loved with all your heart for 8 years.
The man who broke your heart and turned his back on you.
The man who walked away.
Nanami Kento.
Your heart pounding so hard you're afraid it might come out of your chest. Your legs freezed in their place. And when your eyes locked with his? The world around you disappeared completely.

That's it for Part 1. The next part will be out soon. Enjoy (。♡‿♡。)
