he had imagined meeting her again a hundred different ways, if he had imagined it at all. on some lonely road, perhaps. at a tourney, with banners snapping overhead. never here, amongst silk and song and wedding cheer.
the hall was bright with candlelight, alive with music and laughter, yet all of it seemed to fall away as she turned. dunk had seen many maidens more richly dressed and girls fairer of face, but none had ever struck him so hard as the lady sitting half a hall away, the candlelight catching in her hair until it seemed to shine about her like a golden glory.
time had touched her as gently as spring touches an apple tree. she was older now, that was plain enough, and quieter too, if a man could judge such a thing from half a hall away. but she was no less herself.
she could not have forgotten me, he found himself thinking, though he had no good reason to believe it. mayhaps she has. why shouldn't she? it had been years, after all.
⠀⠀⠀⠀— ser duncan the tall upon seeing the lady alayne again, "the lady of dun hill"
was writing a post about dunk and i got hit with this wave of emotion that made my eyes tear up. it's a familiar feeling, a strange ache that overcomes me and makes my chest feel warm. it happens so often when i think about the people i love. surely it is a miracle.. that another person can exist somewhere in the vast amount of universes and the simple thought of them can make your heart so full that it feels inexplicably heavy. it almost feels like grieving. i can see him clear as day in my room, sitting on the armchair by my dresser, but i know that if i look up from my computer right now i cannot find him
LETSGO SPAINNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
heh. get em boys. *the two large bodyguards next to me do not move* boys. come on. please
i think in part i haven't tried to shift to any of my asoiaf drs because i am unprepared for the massive amounts of sorrow and hardship that await me (i chose this for myself)

is it really ur man if he’s not a little scared of you
saw your 'lady of love and beauty perfume' post && wanted to ask: what's your signature perfume/scent?? && one that reminds you of a particular reality??
hi miyahhhhhhh omg i love this ok
in my cr i tend to reach for my bottle of jo malone's orange blossom for everyday wear, i pair it with a small amount of patchouli oil on my pressure points and it smells divine if i do say so myself. when i'm going out to dinner or something more upscale, i love to wear tarantella by tommi sooni on it's own. if i could i would wear it every day but it's discontinued and the only bottle i have i got from perfume.com... haha..... manifesting for eight bottles to show up at my doorstep tonight.. so i guess my 'signature scent' in my cr is very citrusy, i love amber base notes as well !!!
the perfume from my post is actually my signature scent in my akotsk dr! i feel like if i talk about another asoiaf dr i might get shot so i won't talk about a perfume i'd wear there.. hmm... i'm thinking about my marauders era dr and myself there.... i smoke a lot there haha my mother yells at me for leaving cigarette butts on the patio at our summer home. i'm thinking of myself pre-hogwarts in this dr.. the scent that comes to mind is very girlish, vibrant and flowery. i was always very focused on presenting myself as the daughter of house potter, i became less uptight during my time at school. when i started smoking actually. i think fifth year marion is the sweetspot here: firewhisky, fresh linen, white tea, orange, and smoke. BUT if we're talking about post-time travel marion.. firewhisky. lots of firewhisky. cigarette smoke is a given, and a salty, airy note. i think vanilla is also key here, but as a top note rather than something that lasts.
AHHH ty for the ask miyah!!! lmk if this isn't what you had in mind lol
Do you have a HOTD dr ?
yes!!!! anything under the tag the traitorous princess. has to do with my hotd dr! it's sort of a mix of the adaptation aspects from hotd and the canon from "fire and blood"... do with that what you will....
the four late husbands of the princess vaenyra targaryen
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀i. matthos tyrell
vaenyra was married to the lord of highgarden on the eighth day of the third moon in 117 ac. she was but sixteen years old, and her bridegroom was twenty. the princess took readily to life at highgarden, and in the years that followed spoke of that time with an uncommon fondness. lord matthos was kind and tender. he was observed to indulge his young wife's every fancy without complaint. he adorned her in silks finer than any worn at court, and each morning laid a fresh rose in her hands—one plucked by the lord himself from the gardens. such small devotions became the talk of the castle, and many noted the match a happy one. those closest to the couple, however, observed a quieter truth. though husband and wife were ever courteous and affectionate in one another's company, there was little of the passion so often celebrated in songs. the princess held lord matthos in high esteem and counted him among her dearest companions, but theirs was a union built upon mutual regard rather than great love. their contentment endured for but three years. vaenyra's husband was thrown from his courser whilst hunting. the maesters later judged that his skull had been shattered upon striking the ground, assuring the young widow that death had come swiftly, with little suffering.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ii. oswell frey
the princess was wed to lord oswell frey, the lord of the crossing, in the latter moons of 121 ac. at court, much was made of the match, for many remarked upon lord oswell's uncommon handsomeness, a quality seldom attributed to the men of house frey. he was said to possess an easy charm and a ready smile, neither proved exclusive to his wife. vaenyra regarded the marriage as a useful alliance and was well aware of the strength the twins of house frey lent to the iron throne. yet lord oswell's open acknowledgement of the bastards he fathered, together with the various mistresses he kept even after the wedding, was judged by many to be an affront to his lady wife and the dignity of the crown. the princess was rumored to share that judgement, often sending letters to her sister at dragonstone during her time at the crossing. no children were born of the union. some declared this the will of the gods, whilst others, with greater malice than sense, suggested that the princess had little desire to bear lord oswell an heir. ten and three moons after their bedding, lord oswell frey fell grievously ill following a feast at the crossing. his belly cramped, his skin turned pale, and within three days he was dead. maester harmune blamed spoiled lamprey pie, though others whispered of tears of lys, the strangler, or another subtler poison. the princess did not grieve her lord husband long, and married again only six moons after the funeral.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀iii. edrick darklyn
lord edrick darklyn had already buried two wives before taking the princess vaenyra to wife. a pious and learned man, he was held in high esteem throughout the crownlands for his even temper. though not accounted as the fairest of the princess' husbands, many claimed he was her favourite, for seldom had she appeared so happy. he was near five-and-twenty years her elder, yet their difference in age seemed of little consequence. he came to cherish the princess deeply, though never with the possessiveness so often mistaken for devotion. a scholar by inclination, he occupied many quiet hours with histories, philosophy, and poetry, composing verses in praise of his lady wife's wit as often as her beauty. it was said that he admired her pride and keen mind no less than the silver-gold of her hair or the violet of her eyes. his children took to the princess lovingly. at tourneys, his eldest sons were known to name vaenyra their queen of love and beauty, while his youngest hid their faces in her skirts during feasts. though some at court questioned why no issue came of the marriage, lord edrick himself was said to have little desire for further heirs, having buried two wives in childbed and already possessing sons enough to succeed him. whether by his wish or the princess's, their union remained childless. during her years at dun fort, vaenyra was often seen beside her lord husband on the harbor of duskendale, where together they made frequent visits to the town's orphanage. the couple gained a reputation for charity, bringing food, clothing, books, and small gifts to the children in its care. in 126 ac, a fever that swept through duskendale, carrying off fishermen and merchants alike before reaching the castle. lord edrick succumbed to the sickness despite the efforts of three maesters. the noble lord fought valiantly for four days and on the fifth night followed his smallfolk loyally into death, and vaenyra was widowed a third time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀iv. simon beesbury
perhaps the sweetest of vaenyra's husbands was lord simon beesbury, who had seen but nineteen namedays when they were wed in the eleventh moon of 128 ac. a second son with little expectation of inheritance, he possessed neither great ambition nor hunger for renown. he was gentle, good-humoured, and, earnest, and cared little for the burdens of lordship so long as he had the affections of those around him. young simon was said to have worshipped his wife. those who knew him claimed he believed the gods had smiled upon him the day he was promised to a daughter of house targaryen, for he had never expected such a fortune. the match had not originally been his, but his elder brother victor's; yet when victor died in a riding accident, the betrothal passed to simon. their marriage had scarcely begun when the stranger separated the couple. in the early moons of 129 ac, he rode at a tourney held at ashford meadow, where he fell beneath the lance of his opponent. some said the young lord had ridden more eagerly than wisely, for he had risen that morning with a single purpose: to win the favor of his lady wife and name princess vaenyra his queen of love and beauty. thus, before the year was done, the princess vaenyra targaryen was a widow once more.
Should I be grateful or should I curse the fact that despite all misfortune I can still feel love?

thoughts on targcest shifters?
i almost didn't want to answer this ask bc this is a such slippery slope and anything you say on this topic (whether for or against it) is turned into a monster that follows you and gets you shunned from the community. i have friends who are targcest shifters and friends who aren't and i haven't really noticed a difference in them. ultimately, i think it's because i don't really care what other people do in their drs; i never have and never will. it's not my place to police someone else's dr && it's not something i spend my time worrying about.
What are your thoughts on the new hotd season? Especially gwayne :>> I saw your tiktok's about him hehe
omg don't even get me started.
ok first of all put me in the motherfucking writers room. "i may appear to have the weak and feeble body of a woman but i possess the heart and spirit of a king" is not a bad line. it was tuff and moving and entirely powerful when elizabeth i said it to her troops in a speech and dressed in armor ready to march with them. but for the queen rhaenyra to say such a thing in a scene that can only be described as a glorified temper tantrum (said lovingly, she's my sister) is ridiculous. the use of the quote is exceptional, but the timing was horrendous and made a mockery of nyra. the context did not fit well. it was ridiculous that they made her say it to herself, clearly it is a line that was meant to be delivered to her own troops or maybe an audience of lords, certainly not in a moment of weakness with only other women as her witnesses. absolute piss
also! don't get me wrong, i love gwayne with all my heart, but the glaze actually got on my nerves. i'm afraid that's the bare minimum && i understand that it was uncommon for the time period that a man would speak up for a woman.. idk just the idea of MODERN people fawning over him for an exhibition of normal human decency irked me. but also i get really jealous really easily so it was probably the thought of people calling MY husband hot that also got to me. speaking of which he looks good as FUCKKKK in this new season #ilovefreddiefox
other than that i have minimal notes. daeron needs to be rescued immediately and i hate ormund hightower with a passion. i wish we got to see nettles.. i see through this daemon targaryen propaganda. anyways. that's all i have. thanks 4 coming to my tedtalk
