I’m tempted to make this a dual muse blog for my other oc , omen . he also has an xiv verse and is also an aether vampire but is more unstable and also actually tries to be a good person rather than nova who is just out here vibing .

endwalker spoilers throughout .

♡           nova's voidsent 'type' is the 'aether vampire' we see in both the red mage questline and pandaemonium & i combine my own ideas of vampire lore with xiv .

♡           nova's sire , alejandro , is hesperos' first and only fledgling . alejandro still walks the source in the same body as his ancient self , using glamours to keep up with etheirys' ever changing peoples . nova has no idea of his whereabouts , and does not care to know .

♡           nova is a frequent feeder , and often overfeeds . she is known to completely consume the aether of a person or creature she feeds upon , wholly eliminating their existence .

♡           prior to finding her place among the lemures , nova was a sex worker in ul'dah , having travelled there after her experience with alejandro .

♡           the club that nova worked at / can be found out in her downtime is called 'the prince' , which is run by her informally adoptive father , dmitri . unknown to nova , dmitri and alejandro have a long and storied history , with dmitri's own soul being touched by the void due to alejandro's interference in his family's magicks .

“  anyone could argue that you already do the  right  thing  --  right by your friends , right by eorzea , right in the eyes of every person you’ve ever saved . isn’t that the  right  way  ? 

“  or have your travels shown you otherwise  ?  have you done  wrong  in your pursuit of...  well , whatever it is you choose to pursue  ?  ”  arms fold once more , amused gaze replaced with one of concern . everything she had done as a scion , as an adventurer , had been in order to feel as close to mortal as she could possibly be . a hunter among the hunted , a wolf among sheep so desperate to shed her teeth in favour of fleece . but her hero ,  the star’s hero , she had never once questioned their motives along the way .

nova is, above all else, seductive. even before she became a vampire she had perfected the ability to appeal to someone’s senses and use their weaknesses against them in a way that made them want her. she appeals to what people lack, hoping to snake her way in and give them exactly what they want and what they need. she is smart about it too — she sizes a person up and works out how best to lure them in, whether it be through her words, her body, her actions or any other number of things she can use to use people’s wants and needs against them.

… it also makes her a pretty solid wingman since she can easily work out what makes people tick and point her friends in the right direction.
