this made me mad so i’m gonna talk about it. when human rights and lives are at stake, it is extremely hard to think this way. it is so hard to try to love, understand or even have constructive conversations with people who so openly hate and want to continue oppressing certain groups. people shouldn’t have to live in fear of the person who is running the country, that’s just a cruel way to live. i didn’t think anything trump did would have a big impact on my life, however after moving to the us for college i’ve experienced nothing but fear and immense stress over his policies and the way him and his supporters think and feel. i’ve been approached by angry trump supporters at parties, i’ve been in rooms where openly racist and homophobic flags hang from the walls, and it’s terrifying. trump’s handling of the pandemic has made it impossible for me to return to campus to continue my education, so now i have to stay up all night for classes. i can’t vote, so please, when the time comes please vote him out of office.
so she’s been at it again! i will not spread love and positivity to people who openly hate others based on the colour of their skin, their gender, their sexuality, their ethnic background and other factors that we do not control. it’s a dangerous and ignorant mindset to think that we can coexist and love each other while there is still so much hatred towards minority groups. right now is a stressful and scary time for americans and people all over the world, and sure you might want to have a positive mindset about things. but don’t be condescending and talk down to your fans and followers who don’t feel the same, especially if they are a part of targeted groups who are trying to educate you about your ignorance and privilege. understand the pain and stress that minority groups are experiencing and support them, rather than patronise and silence them.

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE (9/23/20): Breonna Taylor’s life mattered. There is no justice to be found under this neocolonial system. We must bring it to its knees.

this show and these characters have helped me find a strength i didn’t know i had. they helped me accept who i was and inspired me to be the best i can possibly be, despite what i might be going through personally. thank you to the cast and crew of supergirl, i’ll be forever grateful
Fucking amen to your post about loving trump supporters. We only respect opinions that respect other's in this house!!!!
i just don’t understand how someone who’s had a very queer and very diverse fan base for many years would think that tweet is well timed or well worded. like i get the idea of spreading love and uniting as a country, but given the circumstances it’s such an inappropriate message. when entire groups of people don’t have to live in fear is when we can start to unite and love one another again. it’s just so frustrating.
