Hey! I'm thinking of getting a ThinkPad for university stuff, and was wondering what model you'd recommend. I can't really go over a few hundred pounds

pretty much any, I like the t480 and the a485 as just an all around thinkpad, the a485 is just the t480 but it has an amd cpu, meaning that you don't have thunderbolt and temps that are neck and neck with a car seatbelt that has been out in the sun. I recently found that there have been issues with the thunderbolt controller on the t480 so uhh yeah.

there is also some other models that you can also opt for like the x250, a285, and the x280. there are more models that I can recommend but I don't know them off the top of my head because there are so many lol.
