Something I never really got the chance to address in my comic yet (partly because of personal discomfort) is the fact that Powers is considered âuglyâ by angelic standards. She doesnât have any gentle features, is bit stocky and has a very mean expression.
No one in heaven ever judges or mocks Powers for her appearance, but being surrounded by angels and seeing how angels are depicted in art often gets under her skin.
On the opposite end, Aurora knows that sheâs beautiful and sees her beauty as a sign of her morality. She canât do anything wrong ever because angels are beautiful, pure and divine while demons are ugly, sinful and full of hate.
(And yes, she does think Lili is ugly).
