I'm thinking it's time for a short vacation.
My daughter. Have you met her?
Apparently not. S'probably a good thing too, seeing I dislike children.

A night time stroll through the cool air of Barton Hollow was on the cards; it was, after all, what she wanted to do all day since getting off that train. It felt good to be back. Forever seemed to have passed since she’d been gone too - just a month and it was a different town. The sky was even a different shade of lilac. Now though, the night had coloured it a deep indigo. Dusk had arrived just as she set out, and the stars were just beginning to make themselves known. It was a clear night - surprisingly so - Eve had yet to see a stray alligator grace the deep upward pool of dark. Her feet had carried her around the edges of the forest, across campus, and now she found herself wandering through the town. Another figure stirred at her presence, and she stopped at his clipped statement. “Nothing,” she murmured, laughing a little in spite of herself.
Well, then if you have nothing to say, you can just keep walking... I'm not some freak you can ogle at.
Sal’s negative approach quickly dispersed. “Oh no, no, that is terrible! People do that? No, I’m looking for the perfect place to do a blind chalk drawing. I could have easily of done it in the day of course, with my eyes closed. But why not do it at night, more exciting that way I think.”
Of course people do that. I'm me. But I guess you don't know who I am... So that's good. What are you thinking of drawing, if you don't mind my asking?
I can. The things that make our minds wander, they are not to be taken lightly. Have they changed for you? The things you see.
Not a bit. All death, and nothing else. What about you? I-I know you don't like talking about it, but have you seen anything out of the ordinary lately?
Well if you consider, "I’ll slit your bloody throat out, you little bitch." a threat.
I find it amusing though.
Would it comfort you to know that you're not going to die?
Oh, nu uh. Nope.
C-cool... Well, thanks again, stranger.
Sal had just put her bird up for the nights rest. Unlike her, the bird had a wonderfully strict schedule. Sal on the other hand, decided almost everything at last minute, even if she tried to plan things ahead. Today. well tonight, she came to the conclusion that blind chalk drawing would be an excellent task to try. Sal hummed a bird song and bobbed her head as she made her way down the sidewalk; the few chalk pieces were guarded under her newly acquired mittens. It was dark and her attention was in the tune, the sudden words took her by surprise. “I have done nothing!” The shock and rudeness put her in her rarely seen angry attitude.
Oh, s-sorry. I thought you followed me out here to laugh at me or something.
A feeling and the fact that it seems like you are looking around.
Oh... Well, I might have been then. My mind's been wandering a lot lately. You can imagine why.
Don’t overexert yourself.
Hadn't planned on it.
You’re welcome!
You didn't, uh, happen to... look through it by any chance, did you?
It’s a much better day for a walk than it is for homework.
It's barely forty degrees outside. This is no weather for a walk.
Apparently Cat likes Oreo’s. Huh.
I just thought that everyone loved Oreos.
Is it just me or is anyone also getting this threat notes in their locker?
I think it’s just me, though. Hm.
Are they death threats?
I'm thinking it's time for a short vacation.
After this case I think Hannah and I deserve it.
Who's Hannah?
"Oh, well… well, I’m sure that’s not true!" Tamsyn smiled, trying to look as genuine as possible. "Sometimes people think small of themselves, when in reality, they’re really big!"
"I'd rather be small than big any day of the week."
Leo leaned against the cool brick building, watching his breath as it extended out into the night sky. He was freezing, and he wanted to go inside, but he'd just had a vision and was trying to calm down from the incident. Well, that and the fact that he'd knocked over his entire table in the process of the experience, and almost the entire shop had stopped what they were doing to stare at him. Hearing someone come up behind him, Leo turned around slowly, his hands clenched tightly, hoping that when they recognized who he was, they'd turn and leave. "What?" He snapped, looking at the stranger coldly.
