PTT Philippines Foundation launched the Gas Up For A Tree project in early 2013 to reforest the areas of the Bataan Natural Park that had been affected by continuous logging by the local tribes. PTT in collaboration with the local Magbukun tribe undertook education and knowledge building initiatives to revive the natural landscape and re-introduce natural plant species to ensure that the next generation could maintain their livelihood from their surroundings. Over 30,000 seedlings were planted during the 3 year period of the project. Silo was commissioned by PTT and the Philippine Presidential Advisor on the Environment to create, direct and produce a documentary telling their story.
