In our hectic world of virtual connection, it’s easy to forget our connection to life. Where ever you are, take what opportunities you can to experience the outdoors. If you can’t get outside, if you can open a window and experience the outdoors that way. Look away from the screens, and SEE the world around you. (via #GetOutside)

[Lion Dragonfly Blog] Many of my photos on Instagram include the hashtag #getoutside. The reason for this is to encourage everyone who can to spend some time outside.

For Freya Prayer Day! I’m starting this among my friends and would love for you all to join me. http://liondragonfly.com/freya-world-prayer-day/
Moving into our new place. The hearth fire is transferred.
My first candle for Hope and the rune that I pulled today. A pink candle for compassion and peace, surrounded by fruit to sweeten the thoughts. The rune is Uruz, the primal forces of the world, symbols to me the strength of this effort and the power of hope.

One Druid discusses how she continues a daily practice in Hotels
Many times, my job requires me to travel, and that means hotels. I currently do a (mostly) daily practice, and this becomes a lot more challenging when I'm in a hotel. I don't have access to my altar, or my stash of offerings, or my space. I usually can't light a candle or incense and am limited by the considerations of whatever space the hotel has.

A rose in memorial. May we never forget those who stood up for the rights of those who didn't have them.
Advice to New Witches
Log off. Right now. Get off of tumblr and go to the library or other websites.
Tumblr is a fantastic source of info. It really is. But it is also full of contention, senseless arguments, and extreme bias.
So form your own opinion, on your own, without the overflowing fountain of nonsense and good info that is Tumblr.
It is a resource. Just one. Of hundreds, thousands even. Use it, but do not let it be your only source.

This is great advice, and amusing as I’m reblogging on Tumblr :D But .. Think for yourself!
Join us for World Freya Prayer Day!
On the second Friday of each Month, let’s get together and celebrate Freya wherever you are in the world.
The ritual can be as large or as small as you’d like, as simple or as complex. The important thing is that we all focus on the energy of Freya and all that she can bring to this world.
This world needs beauty, this world needs magic, this world needs fighters – Freya is all of these things and more.

Over my many years as a self-identified Pagan, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different ways of protecting ritual spaces. While many Wiccan circles define a firm boundary to the ritual space, there are many other traditions that don't. Even the traditions that do have the firm boundary sometimes don't have it all the time. So, why do you define the boundary or not? Well .. there's a lot of "it depends."

Grimoire/BoS
In the process of transferring my electronic grimoire into an actual book. How do you guys go about writing your book of shadows/grimoire? How do you organize, if at all?
I’ve see. A lot of great organisational methods, the most common if which is to organise it by topic: Herbs, Crystals, Divination, Spells, Potions, Rituals, etc.
Personally I don’t organise mine, it’s purely chronological. I just write in the next blank page.
I’m terrible about having an actual BoS. I have a journal that I keep track of things, and it includes bullet journal style index and lists so I can find what I’m looking for!

Peaceful Sleep
Perry the Dream Guardian: A little Pop Culture Magic to help me sleep.
In my class on the Process of Magic by Taylor Ellwood, we talk about using thought-forms and other beings to help us. A few weeks ago, I had the idea to leverage all the energy and attention that had been given to Perry to help me with an issue I’ve had sleeping. .....
