Welcome to "The Infection" - a site run by Modkon and Shizu and (of course) devoted to the pairing Leon S. Kennedy x Alexander Kozachenko that was presented in "Resident Evil: Damnation". We all know that they are meant to be.
Shizu and I had a little “Resident Evil LeonxBuddy Fandom Feels Revival Night” last weekend, playing some RE6 (Chris/Piers campaign, of course!) and watching Damnation together. I just was too lazy forgot to prepare fitting snacks and drinks... Still, it was fun and we both found Damnation (from 2012) to be better looking than Vendetta (from 2017) - both from a visual aspect and regarding the action scenes. And that’s not even taking Buddy into the equation ;)

“Hah...“ A long, heavy sigh wandered through the room, reflected by white empty walls. The door silently closed behind them, keeping the hot afternoon sun from entering the surprisingly cool flat. Both men shivered slightly as soon as they passed through the doorway. At least one of them though felt the overall atmosphere weighing down on him way more than the change of temperature. Just moments ago, the Slav couldn't have felt more relieved at the thought of getting rid of his clothes, but right now in the presence of the man behind him with all those unspoken desires between them, he didn’t favour that idea as much anymore. He had been so eager before, but now it all seemed rushed and maybe that rising need had been the result of the scorching sun. Or maybe not. The veins pulsating beneath his rough, scarred skin belied his growing denial. They seemed as if they were going to explode any minute, the blood rushing through his body at an alarming speed. To him it seemed as if a bird tried to break free from its cage, his own heart just barely being held in place by tissues of muscle. Did he truly want to take it further? “You want something to drink?“ The sudden question coming from behind made him flinch abruptly. Even though the man had been well aware of the presence of the other - more than he'd ever admit to himself – he hadn’t seen that coming. “You planning something?“, he retorted, trying to make the following grin seem as effortless as possible. Without being able to see his own reflection though he pretty much could picture in his head how stupid he had to look right now with a crooked grin which was probably nowhere near natural. Still it did earn him a brilliant smile by the American – a smile a little too brilliant and a way too flirty “Only if you do.” Even though he could feel the urge to punch Leon in the sides rise, he was rather relieved at the goofiness the man displayed. It made him finally relax for the first time since having entered the flat.
Maybe that was the whole point, he thought to himself as the blonde walked in long strides towards a little fridge, prying the door open only for his hand to emerge with a bottle of amber coloured liquid. “You like Bourbon?”, he asked, putting the bottle on the counter. “As long as it’s got enough alcohol in it, everything’s fine.”, the Slav answered, throwing himself with a satisfied groan on the couch while the other started pouring the drink into two crystalline glasses. The blinds had been drawn, but some rays still managed to get through, hitting the glass and breaking into a tapestry of colours. He could spot a small rainbow falling onto the dark brown wood. It reminded him of days long past, childhood adventures and silly children’s dreams. A sort of melancholy began to weigh him down at those thoughts. His shoulders fell, thinking of those who were gone; JD, his friends and Irina; especially Irina. The sudden change in his features did not go unnoticed. With a raised brow Leon handed him his drink. Sasha caught his perplexed gaze and started thinking of an answer to an unuttered question, but the other did not say a single word. His host for today simply threw himself onto the sofa – a little farther away from him and made himself comfortable, taking a sip or two from his glass. Sasha himself thankfully downed about half of the Bourbon before his muscles slowly started relaxing and a satisfying warmth spread in his stomach. They sat there in silence while enjoying how the alcohol started working in their bodies. The minutes grew longer until one of them finally asked: “Was that real? Before…I mean…” Leon scratched his hair and carefully inspected Buddy’s expression as the words “Did the kiss mean something?” slipped from his tongue.
The straightforwardness with which the other had posed his question, made the Slav choke for a second. He started coughing violently. That didn’t stop Leon from eyeing him carefully though, apparently eagerly awaiting his response.
“What…what…” He weighed the words carefully, starting and stopping twice, until he hesitantly replied: “What if I said, yes?” Everything in his mind was a jumbled up mess and the rising amount of hormones coursing through his body didn’t help in any way, but somewhere deep inside his mind, he knew he had wanted it. He had wanted it for so long that he couldn’t stop himself from probing, from trying despite the uncomfortable feeling only minutes ago.
“I would say…, we should take a shower.”, the American answered promptly with a smile on his. He grabbed the other’s hand, waiting for a reaction. And he got one - in a way he hadn’t really expected.
Buddy gulped down the rest of his drink in one go before abruptly rising from his chair, asking: “Where to?” All the brakes were gone. Those pent-up emotions, those thoughts and what-ifs back then, everything broke free – and if he was honest, the alcohol did help quite a bit. What followed then was quite messy – not as if the way they had met back then had been “normal” anyway. No words of love or endearment passed their lips as they entered the shower cell. Their sweat had dissipated already, but the clothes they so quickly got rid of in the bathroom still felt clammy. It was liberating to throw them off, their bodies pressed against each other with their lips brushing and clashing. They were so immersed in the sensation of finally being able to feel the touch of the other that they hardly took notice of the hot water running down their bodies. Leon pushed Buddy against the pure white tiles, his tongue finding its way into the other’s mouth, exploring it with a vigor that made the Slav grunt exhaustingly. The kisses were filled with raw desire when the blonde started exploring his partner’s body. He didn’t place them carefully, but bit into the man’s flesh as he started kissing his neck and wandered further south. Buddy shivered under his touch, feeling the heat building up inside him and the blood being drained quite quickly from his brain. He could feel it pulsating in his groin, his want growing with very passing second. He was breathing heavily now and could hardly get the words out when he pleaded with the man between his thighs to touch his cock, to give him the release he so desperately needed. Leon bit into Buddy’s thigh as he looked up, locking eyes with the man whose taste he was savouring right now. He grinned, retorting: “What is the magic word?”
„Fuck…“ And suddenly the words were gone. The Slav didn’t even have the time to answer before the blonde flicked his tongue over the top of his member, making him groan and shiver at the same time from the sudden sensation. Skillfully Leon let his tongue slide up and down Buddy’s growing cock, sometimes drawing invisible swirls over the pulsating veins before enclosing the whole thing with his lips, taking it into his mouth. “Oh my…you are good…”, his partner managed to stutter between ragged breaths. He had started letting his weight fall onto the tiles, looking for the support he needed to stay on his feet. It had been quite some time and by god, his friend was way too good and experienced. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to hold out for much longer. The blonde went faster, going up and down the Slav’s member with his mouth and tongue, also using his hand as an aid. The moans grew louder, Buddy could hardly think when he finally released it all. “I’m…Ah!” His left hand flew against the shower glass, the other tried hard to take hold onto the tiles as he came so hard he thought that he’d lose consciousness for a moment. Leon gulped and stood up with a wide smile plastered onto his face. “Was I THAT good?”, he asked teasingly, licking away the thick liquid sticking onto one side of his lip. “Did you…?”, the man asked, startled. It hadn’t ever occurred to him that he’d do THAT. “Oh, this? It’s ok. More importantly…” The blonde took Buddy’s hand into his, leading it right onto his own pulsating cock. “What shall we do about that?”
Finally in control of about half his senses again, the Slav slowly started to get a grasp of the situation. He could feel the hardness and how the other’s member demanded release as much as he had just some minutes ago.
“I can, too…if you…”, he suggested, but was cut short by Leon.
“I want to do this…” Leon’s hand glided over Buddy’s back until it came to rest on his bottom, a finger provocatively circling the entrance to a whole yet undiscovered area.
“Will it fit?”, his companion asked quite perplexed, flinching from the other’s finger pressing lightly onto the opening.
“Better than yours going up mine.”, the American laughed, grabbing the other’s slowly hardening cock with his free hand to make his point clear. “We can switch next time though.”
“Next time?”, Buddy raised an eyebrow in surprise. Nonetheless he smiled.
“Yeah…” Leon had coated his hand in some kind of cream, slowly pushing one finger through the small entrance. “We can do this as many times as we want to…”, the blonde whispered seductively into the other’s ear, while delving deeper into him. He enjoyed how the sounds of discomfort slowly changed into pleasure. The groans turned into moans and he could feel his partner’s skin softening. The small opening developed into a welcoming hole that made his cock pulsate with more and more anticipation. It was hard to hold onto his will, to not simply give in to his desire and just thoroughly fuck the man in front of him. The blowjob before had already left him so wanton that he was kind of proud of his outstanding patience even though it was running thin now. With every deep moan resonating in his ears and every warm breath brushing his skin, he felt as if he was driven crazy by waiting. He tried thinking of everything boring and not in the least sensual to keep himself from releasing without even having entered.
“Didn’t know you had so much endurance.”, Buddy said, grinning and panting at the same time. He interrupted Leon’s thoughts of Lickers and their bleeding outer skin.
“You want to challenge me?”, the blonde asked, quite thirsty for a positive answer.
“Have a go.”
And that was it. He could hear his reason snap like a thread before he pushed it in in one go. The sudden warmth made him gasp and he could hardly contain a moan. “Oh my god…You feel so good…” The thrusts were slow at first, but started getting faster and harsher. Leon thrust everything into Buddy; his raw desire, his unspoken feelings and the loneliness haunting the both of them every day but now. In this moment they were connected, clawing onto each other desperately as they reached their climax together, blissfully allowing themselves to enjoy those few minutes of an empty head and a light heart.
When the heat finally started wearing off, they quickly finished cleaning themselves up and fell onto the perfectly white bed. They were so exhausted that they could hardly keep their eyes open. Leon embraced Buddy, holding the man’s beating heart close to his own. He whispered “Sleep well…” into his ears before drifting into a long, dreamless sleep. Buddy on the other hand did - upon awakening - have a vague memory of a woman’s smile. She had seemed happy, unlike in all of his countless nightmares. Even the sun peeking through the blinds seemed to welcome them into a day maybe brighter than the days before. “Good morning…”, Buddy whispered into the silent room, a heartfelt smile on his face.
It’s our 4th anniversary today! Can you believe it?! :O
As always I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for sticking around!! <3
Shizu and I have been pretty occupied these last months and still will be until Christmas (at least). If all goes well Shizu will come visit me during the holidays and I’m pretty sure we’re gonna watch Damnation together again ^^
I also wanted to write or continue to write some more stories, but I’ve not been in the mood for writing at all. I’m gonna try my best next year when things have calmed down a bit. Also, with Resident Evil 7 and Vendetta being released in 2017 I’m sure there’s plenty of opportunity to get into the RE fandom again - and into Damnation in particular ;)
Hopefully we can get back on track and we’d love for you to join us again!
Have a wonderful time until Christmas for now - we’ll catch you later :D
It’s been ages (once again)! How have you all been?
I don’t really have any time at all at the moment, but since I had this idea a few weeks ago I couldn’t get it out of my head - and today was the day...! Had to finish this in one go, otherwise it would’ve never been finished. So it got pretty late, even though I rushed it...
Anyway, it’s nothing like summer over here (which I’m grateful for, actually), so if it’s the same for you (and you like summer) then maybe this little pic can help ;)
Btw, the ice is pretty popular in Germany and called “Flutschfinger” (“flush finger”, literally) and it’s always the obligatory choice for scenes like this XD
So, Leon gets another movie treatment, this time being joined by Rebecca and Chris (among others). And he’ll be riding the new Ducati XDiavel. The only way this could be better from the start would be if Buddy was in it ;D
Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovebirds out there :D
(...and a happy forever alone day to myself XP)
Whether you spend the day with loved ones or alone or maybe with people you’re not (yet) close with we hope you enjoy yourselves and have a lovely time! Leon and Buddy sure do ;)
[ Warning: Spoilers for Resident Evil 6 (mainly the Leon and Helena campaign) !!! ]
It just wasn't Buddy's day.
Despite the weather forecast having promised sunshine and blue skies, it had been raining since the morning. That alone wouldn't have been reason enough for the Slav's foul mood, but since he had foolishly trusted the announcement he hadn't brought an umbrella or raincoat with him. And it was a steady downpour.
He had gotten soaked to his skin instantly. In fact he felt his clothes cling to him in most parts and his shoes had turned out to be not waterproof as well. He could still remember times long past when his shoes would have made squishing sounds while walking, although he couldn't verify that, small relieve it brought him, being tied to this wheelchair. He practically felt like he was sitting in a puddle of rainwater. And from the looks of it, that was exactly how it was.
Buddy cursed under his breath as he pushed onward. The brand new books he had bought earlier would probably also be ruined if he didn't get home fast where he could dry them.
He had put them in his bag, but he didn't trust the fabric to withstand the rain any more than the rest of his clothes by now.
Water was dripping from the bangs of hair that hung into his face, running down his brows and into his eyes.
A car reared up behind him, and as it passed him by dollops of mud flew in all directions – also hitting Buddy's form, trousers and jacket.
No, it definitely wasn't his day today.
Buddy barely refrained from yelling obscenities after the driver; he knew it wouldn't change anything. He only doubled his efforts to get to his apartment and off the street as soon as possible.
After ten more minutes of getting horribly wet and dirty, Buddy finally stopped in front of his house. A renewed growl escaped the man's mouth when he dropped his keys in the mud to his feet. And this time Buddy didn't hold back the stream of curses that set at the tip of his tongue as he bent down to rake his fingers through the dirt to retrieve the lost item.
A young woman happening to pass by that instant regarded him with a despising glare, but Buddy heeded her no mind. If she wouldn't have had that umbrella with her and be in the same position as he was, she wouldn't have given anything on a stranger's opinion of the whole scene either.
Buddy sighed with relief when his hands finally got a hold of the keyring and he cleaned it off as best as he was able, proceeding on into the building and the shelter of a roof above his head.
At this point he wouldn't have been surprised if the elevator would have been out of order, but things seemed to look brighter for him at last. Or so he thought.
When he opened the door to his apartment and flicked the light switch, nothing happened. He tried again, but to no avail.
It were probably just the old fuses, finally having given in – or having decided to toy with him (it wouldn't have been the first time).
But still it wasn't doing anything to bring back the man's good mood – or his usual, less bad mood at least.
Buddy rolled up towards the breaker box back in the hallway outside of his apartment. It was barely within his reach and with a sigh he realized one fuse had just popped out again but seemed to be intact otherwise. It took him a bit of effort to reach about an inch higher to put it back in again and he sank down into his wheelchair with a soft thud.
The brunet returned to his rooms and closed the door behind him. Now he needed to get out of these wet clothes. He opened his jacket and put it on a hook on the corridor's wardrobe hoping it would dry well enough, hanging there.
Getting out of his shoes and socks also wasn't much of a problem and he left both on the small shoe rack close by.
About half an hour had passed when he returned from his bedroom, dressed in a clean jeans and T-shirt. He was still barefooted, though, but it was warm inside the apartment and besides he didn't feel much in his toes anymore, anyway.
Buddy moved his wheelchair towards the table in the center of the living room and picked up the remote control. The evening news were already on and he figured he would watch them before heating up the leftovers from the day before for dinner.
While the old TV screen struggled to flicker to life, the Slav couldn't help but think of what Leon had written in one of his latest e-mails:
>> Maybe you'll even see me on the news! <<
It had been only a few days ago and fortunately so far Buddy had had no reason to worry for the agent – or at least none to worry for him more than usual.
Sometimes Buddy wasn't sure if Leon could handle a single-household at all and it amazed him how the blond could be so silly and clumsy while at the same time having a serious job and excel at handling pretty much any gun or other weaponry he would get his hands on (and at killing undead monsters by utilizing said weapon arsenals).
Buddy grinned to himself and shook his head. This guy really was impossible.
When the screen finally showed an image, Buddy's expression returned to normal and he turned up the volume to listen to the flawlessly styled announcer.
The rain hadn't let up and Buddy could hear it tapping against the windows while the TV showed a report on the situation in America where the president had been found dead in his office the day before.
Buddy shook his head. His own country still struggled with reforming political structures and now the great superpower, the United States of America, had been robbed of their leadership. The world was crumbling to pieces. And yet Buddy was grateful by now to have had survived and experienced it all so far.
He set his chair into motion again. He was in the mood for a cold beer to mold this shitty day into a relaxing enjoyable evening. His fingers were already on the handle of the fridge when the words of the anchorwoman made him turn his head.
“As the investigations into the presidents death continue, it is highly suspected that president Benford was murdered by a D.S.O. agent for unknown reasons. Leon S. Kennedy, already previously working for the U.S. government, was one of the most decorated and trusted men in the agency. He was also known to be a friend of president Benford…”
Buddy was back in front of the TV screen in mere seconds, staring in disbelief about the words he had just heard. He would have thought it a trick of his own mind, but the news clearly showed a picture of Leon – an older one, seemingly, from a time before Buddy had known him.
This could only be some kind of huge mistake. Buddy was sure of it, but the fact that this had aired right now on the news still was a shock for him. He wouldn't have expected nor did he want to see Leon on TV in a context like that. Had Leon already known? Had the president been dead already when Leon had messaged him last time? Had Leon known he would become a prime suspect?
Buddy didn't give even the faintest thought to the possibility that the reports might be true. But what came next would have made Buddy jump up to his feet, hadn't it been for his paralyzed legs.
“As the D.O.S. reported, Kennedy and his newly assigned partner Helena Harper died in a car crash yesterday. The circumstances are not yet known, but the F.B.I. is investigating their deaths as well as continuing the search for evidence and a possible motive for Kennedy's probable murder of president Benford...”
The images changed according to the next topic and the anchorwoman spoke on.
But Buddy wasn't listening anymore. He stared at the TV screen without seeing or caring about what followed. The whole world around him suddenly had been put on mute.
It couldn't be. It wasn't possible.
Buddy had received the message from Leon only a few days ago.
And it had only been a few weeks before that when Leon had visited him.
He had been here. With Buddy.
And it had been the first time since Irina...
Buddy's vision blurred.
Not him, not Leon. He wouldn't simply die in a car crash. Killed by zombies or people who hated his guts (like Buddy once had), yes, but this... it was so very un-Leon-like.
Through the initial numb pain a lop-sided grin appeared on Buddy's face for half a second before being eradicated by a feeling of sheer helplessness.
What if it was true?
What then?
There was no answer to a question like that.
There was nothing.
In his half-panicked, half-paralyzed state of mind, a passage of a book he had once read floated into his memory: the four stages of grieving – the first stage: denial.
And damn straight he would deny the fact of something like this without any real proof. Although he wasn't sure he would have wanted (or still want) that either.
Buddy backed away from the TV set. He didn't even care to turn it off as he headed for the apartment's front door. He didn't care that he still hadn't put on shoes or even a pair of socks for that matter. The only thing he grabbed was his wallet and his keys.
Though said keys in hand he almost left the apartment door wide open, before common sense got the better of him after all. It was a small miracle he didn't drop his keyring for the second time this day as he locked up the door with trembling fingers.
The elevator ride down took even longer than waiting for the damned thing and once he was back on the streets Buddy had to consciously remind himself to slow down and watch out for cars or other pedestrians.
The rain was still pouring down, veiling his view even further, but also hiding evidence of his misery by streaming down his cheeks far heavier than tears ever could.
He almost knocked over three people on his way – the only three people he saw outside this time of day and in this certain neighborhood.
Though the minutes seemed to stretch into hours, he reached his destination in record time, pushing his wheelchair up the ramp, banging at the closed doors.
The internet cafe – if one could even call it that – wasn't closed yet, but the owner had to be more careful the darker the skies got. There was a lot of equipment there that attracted all kinds of robbers – petty thieves and professionals alike, or simply very desperate folk who really needed the money.
The owner of the shop opened the door a crack and – after recognizing the man in the wheelchair – removed the chain that kept the door from fully opening and let Buddy inside with a quick wary look outside, before he shut the door again.
The brunet nodded to him in thanks as he looked for a free spot. The place was even more frequented this time of day, almost all the computers being occupied. But at the end of the corridor created by the lined up desks, there was a machine that wasn't in use – and it was not because it was broken as Buddy confirmed with a sigh when he took his place in front of it. Someone else must have had just left not long before the crippled Slav had arrived.
Fortunately, since the PC was still running, Buddy didn't have to wait any longer to check for his mails. As he typed in his user name and password his nerves were strained to an almost unbearable degree.
He briefly closed his eyes while the program worked on his request and silently prayed for a miracle.
Then he opened his eyes, slowly, fearing nothing more than that he would be greeted by an empty inbox folder.
There was only one new mail, five hours old and from a sender address Buddy wasn't familiar with. Yet somehow Buddy had a hunch that it would answer the question swirling in his head. His feelings caught somewhere between hope, dread and grief, Buddy opened the mail and read:
Hope you haven't watched the news yet. I'm well. So don't worry about me. That would only make you frown and those wrinkles might stay if you do that too often. I’ll write you again soon. XXX
Buddy quickly clasped a hand over his mouth to hold back his voice. It was unmistakably a mail from Leon.
He was alive.
He had to be.
Buddy read the short text again. And then once more, until it started to make some kind of sense to him.
It had to be some kind of tactical maneuver to have had faked his death - and that of his partner, presumably. But if it was for his mission why couldn't he have told him sooner? Was it because he was now the main suspect in the murder of the American president? Or was there even more behind it? What the hell was going on?
Pain and anger swirled inside his mind and soul and made tears well up in his eyes again.
He didn't even care if anyone around saw.
For half the eternity of a few minutes he had been led to believe he had lost this person forever. Someone very important to him.
His heart clenched up like a too tightly drilled screw.
What would he have done if it had been true? He didn't want to think about it, but the feeling of loss still persisted.
And he knew it would only subside if – no – when he would get the next message from Leon – or better yet: would hear his voice or see for himself that he was alright – that he lived.
Buddy stared at the monitor in front of him. His hands were still shaking as he slowly lowered them down onto the mouse and keyboard.
He clicked on 'reply' and wrote.
Somewhere in China Leon and Helena faced almost certain death. But Leon had come to expect that it came with the job description to fight zombies and other mutations that defied nature itself. And as it was, he even knew what it was like to feel yourself become a monster. And he knew several people besides himself that had had the same experience and survived. He was thinking of one person, especially, right now. Again. As he always did.
He really hoped his message had reached Buddy in time, before he had had to learn the false truth through the news.
Leon wasn't even sure they would announce something like this, but if they deemed it noteworthy then merely because of his and Helena's involvement in the president's death – and because of Simmons. He was the one who had initiated all this. And now Leon was eye to eye with the monstrosity he had become.
Leon wouldn't wish that kind of horrific fate onto anyone, hadn't wanted it for Buddy, but hadn't been able to stop the man to do this to himself. But he had been able to save him in the end and Leon would always be thankful for that.
The memories of Buddy's desperate plea to kill him echoed in his mind. And Leon gritted his teeth as Simmons – or rather what was left of him – closed in on them. This man surely was beyond saving. And Leon could only hope to be strong enough to survive another encounter like this. It was more important to him than ever, because now he had finally found something, someone, to hold onto living for.
Buddy exited the shop into the small inconspicuous back-alley and slowly made his way back home. The rain had finally stopped, making the Slav feel eerily calm inside.
He had been reassured that Leon was indeed capable of faking his own death and Buddy knew he wouldn't do that lightly. Something major was going on. But he trusted Leon and, after all, Leon had taken a huge risk in informing him of the circumstances. Whatever the mess was that Leon was in, apparently it wasn't over yet. But it wouldn't help anyone, not Buddy and certainly not Leon, if the brunet kept worrying and dreading the latest news report to come true.
He knew that, especially after today, he never would be able to quench that thought completely out of existence, the fear staying at least in one of the farthest corners of his mind. But he also knew that from now on he would trust the other man even more than he had up until now.
Leon would return to him, always. He had done it before when Buddy didn't even think he himself wanted him to. And if he wouldn't, then Buddy would find him, that he promised himself. He would hold onto this unspoken vow between him and Leon as long as he could.
And if Leon was any good at reading between the lines, Buddy was sure he would know this.
Guess you’ll have to deal with the marks on my face then.
Be careful out there and don’t you dare to make me wait for too long!
Modkon’s comment: Didn’t I want to post this story years ago?! - Answer: Yes, I did. Sorry folks. It really took me that long to edit the last bits of it (that’s the problem when your writing’s a total mess). But here we are. Finally. It’s not an actual entry for the Kiss Challenge, but it sets up the next ‘chapter’ (which I have yet to finish *cough*). Still, I hope you enjoyed this part, even though it is not as lighthearted as the rest.
Anyone else who fell in love with Lickers in Damnation? Well, I know I did! Just ask Shizu about the ‘fun time’ he had when I got all excited while we were playing RE5 a while back and the Lickers appeared ...and I would just stare at them or want to cuddle with them. I can’t help it, they’re just so awesome & cute! X3 (Shizu agrees, btw, but I think I got a bit too carried away for his liking...)
I totally forgot to post this, because of course I would
