This request was from @midnightking24 who asked if I could make a oneshot of Marinette revealing the identity of the miraculers to Alya as part of deputy guardian training and she shares her thoughts on it.
Thank you for your request I hope you like it!
The clouds hid the sun as Alya walked toward Marinette’s house. She checked the time on her phone. 2:20. 10 minutes before her first deputy training. She walked a bit faster as rain began to fall around her.
It had been a few days since Marinette and Tikki had given her the kawgatama that held Marinette’s memories and everything else that she’d need if she took over guardianship for her best friend. Marinette had trusted her completely, first in telling her she was Ladybug and then appointing her guardianship soon after. She knew she’d do her job well, she needed to. Not only for Marinette, her best friend but for all of Paris and possibly the whole world. However the idea that something bad would have to Marinette if and when she had to assume guardianship. Well that terrified her.
Alya was pushed out of her thoughts as she ascended the apartment steps, marching on until she arrived at Marinette’s place. Before she could even knock on the door Marinette opened it quickly. “Alya, Thanks for coming!” She said as she flung the door open and climbed up to her room. “Hey girl!” Alya stated unphased as she closed the door behind her and followed Marinette. Alya gasped as she saw paper thrown all over the place as Marinette sat at her desk writing frantically in a notebook. Looking closer at her best friend she noticed bags under her eyes. “Girl, please tell me you got some sleep last night?” Marinette laughed as she began to write faster. “Maybe a little nap, but I woke up after so I could finish this.” She stated as she turned toward Alya and showed her a pink notebook with huge letters on it. “Guardianship.” Alya read before she sighed. “Oh Marinette, you stayed up all night for this?” Marinette looked at her with wide eyes. “What I mean is you wrote all this down LAST night?” Marinette sighed. “Yes, I just needed to get everything in my head down, because I mean what if I forgot something for today and it was something you really needed?!” Alya placed her hand on her best friend’s shoulder. “Let’s breathe, okay? It’s only the first day of my training, why don’t we just focus on something else?” Marinette and Alya breathed together for a few counts. Marinette closed her eyes as she relaxed her shoulders, her breathing steadying slowly. Finally her shoulders relaxed and the two friends stared at each other.
“Thanks Alya, you’re right, and there is some crucial information you need to know beforehand.” Alya nodded. “Which is?” Marinette opened the notebook up to the first few pages, the writing looked much more legible then the other pages Alya had seen on the floor. “The identities of the miraculers!” Marinette smiled as she pulled the notebook toward her best friend. “Oh, of course!” Alya said in awe. She would have to know who she was working with even if it was just their identities, who knows she could even know them in real life? “I’ll only give you a few today since you know our team is pretty big.” Marinette said awkwardly. Alya nodded. She’d like the challenge of learning all the names and being able to quiz herself whenever she met with them again, but perhaps now wasn’t the time. “Right.” Alya agreed. Marinette turned to the page she wanted and showed Alya the page. She gasped as she saw who was on the page. When she thought she could know them, she didn’t think she would know them!
“Kagami is Ruyuko?” Alya asked. Marinette nodded. “She was the perfect candidate, she harnesses her powers amazingly!” Alya hummed in agreement. “She does, I mean having three different abilities and knowing which ones to use in certain situations, she’s sharp.” Alya winked. Marinette nodded. “She’s become a really good friend on top of that, I trust her.” “Me too.” It was nice to know that there were friendly faces on the team, Alya began to feel better, she wouldn’t be alone in this. Alya looked further down the page and scoffed.
“Kim is King Monkey really?” Marinette furrowed her brow. “Yeah, but believe me he wasn’t my choice! Master Fu the old guardian picked him.” “Well that’s interesting, considering he’s arrogant at times.” Marinette chuckled. “Yeah, but I trust Master Fu’s decisions, he knows what it takes to be a hero.” Alya smiled. “He does.” She said, touching Marinette’s shoulder. She perked up at the compliment. “And besides.” Marinette continued. “He has proven himself over time.” “That’s true.” Alya stated. Although she backed her best friend’s claim, it was still hard to see him as King Monkey, sure they hadn’t had many missions together, however she was still a bit wary, especially after everything that happened with Marinette in the past. But she had to be honest, his actions now spoke loud so perhaps she could give him a chance. Marinette looked down at the page.
“Luka is Viperon, which is the reason he found out who Cat Noir and I are.” She explained. “That makes sense! I knew he wouldn’t have been able to as a civilian, you two do a lot to keep your identities a secret.” Alya remarked. “If we didn’t have him when Wishmaker was akumatized we would have lost that day, but to think if he wasn’t the snake holder he would still be in Paris.” Marinette frowned. Alya did too. Marinette’s history with Luka was a lot and she still seemed to feel anxious or guilty whenever he was brought up. However with him holding her and Cat Noir’s identities, perhaps it added to the feelings. “I think Luka would help you if you asked.” Marinette stated. “You think?” Alya asked. Marinette nodded. “He’ll know Cat Noir’s identity, and he’ll be able to tell you.” “Right.” Suddenly her bad thoughts creeped in again.
The more they talked the more it felt like something was going to happen to Marinette and there wasn’t anything they would be able to do to stop it. Marinette caught it quickly. “I know this is a lot, trust me it scares me too, but I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you can do this Alya.” Alya hummed. “I know, and I’ll do my best. I just hope that I can use this knowledge to better help you then take over, I really don’t want to lose my best friend.” Marinette shook her head. “You’ll never lose me, I’ll still be me, and even if we have to do everything we’ve done together again, there will be nothing wrong with that. We’re best friends till the end!” Alya smiled and winked at her. “Even after that!” Marinette smiled as the two friends reached for each other. They embraced tightly the admiration radiating off of both of them.
“Maybe we should take a break before continuing?” Marinette asked as they were still wrapped in their hug. Alya nodded. “I think that’d be nice.” “I’ll get some cookies from the bakery and we can watch a movie!” Marinette stated as they released each other. “I’ll get the milk!” Alya said with a smile. They nodded to each other as Marinette ran down the stairs and into the living room. “I’ll be right back!” She yelled before the front door closed and Alya was left with her thoughts. She sighed with a smile as she walked toward the stairs looking toward the window before exiting. The sun was shining through the clouds now, and suddenly Alya didn’t feel so bad.

Just thought I’d share a bit of my WIP for an upcoming chapter of my fanfic “save me from this pain (only you can)” This scene isn’t actually fleshed out yet but it is part of what could happen! I haven’t wrote this story since last year so I’m excited to get back into it.
Sneak Peek:
Where are you going?!” He stated once he caught up with them. “Branch, I think fate has other plans.” Parsley rose said simply. Branch scoffed. “Suddenly you agree with Fate?” “In this instance yes.” Parsley scoffed back. “Why?” “Because there are eight different trolls in there! If this was the right time you would be alone!” Branch let out a noise that was somewhere between a scoff and a laugh. “What are you talking about?” “Listen Branch, I think maybe you should spend the day with Poppy and her friends. Do whatever they have to do, and when the time is right that’s when you tell her!” “How will I know when is the right time?” Branch asked. “Trust me, you’ll know.”
