Literally the only emotionally satisfying and morally justifiable way Endeavor’s story arch could end is with him going back to being horrible in spite of his promises to change (which is literally what 99% of real abusers actually do), getting exposed, and finally going to jail forever

Thereby serving to illustrate to the audience that many abusers make promises of changing only to go back on their word, and that you should not be so quick to forgive someone who caused his wife and children debilatating psychological issues through years of deliberate cruelty and violence

That would be the only conscionable way Horikoshi could correct the strange and flawed narrative choice that this “redemption” attempt has been

One thing I really like about Endeavor’s development is that the whole ‘oh, someone came into his life and changed him’ card isn’t played

Endeavor doesn’t start to change because his wife worked steadily, chipping away at all his issues until she got to the core of him. Shouto and his siblings didn’t have a teary heart to heart with their Dad that ultimately resulted in him seeing the errors in his ways

That didn’t happen, that damaging card of 'he can be changed if I/we just change him’ isn’t in the picture. While his kids and his wife do play a role in the development, and did have an impact that led to the change, there was only one person responsible for Endeavor changing

And that’s Endeavor himself

Endeavor looked at his actions, looked at the way he acted and realized just how heinously he had treated his family and that he needed to change. Not only that but he came to the decision that he would respect his children’s feelings towards him and simply work on keeping the peace for them, and on making himself into a better man

Just, it’s interesting to watch a character like Endeavor realize his tremendous flaws and instead of just disregarding them, which would be easy enough to do, he takes responsibility for himself and changes himself for the better without relying on his family to force the change to happen, and I’m just really impressed with how his development is being handled

This post was mostly a joke, but I fundamentally disagree with the fact that a child/domestic abuser and truly be considered a hero. If you choose to enjoy the character, then that’s up to your own discretion. I don’t really see how that’s bitching and moaning.
