I used to be afraid of clowns. Not anymore. I’m not frightened by you yet. What do you think about them? Also, why do you go by Clown, besides being such a funny fella?
Hello! Oh I really love clowns! I think they're really wonderful and the profession of Clowning too! I at first picked out the name as a way of calling myself a Fool, But I like regarding myself with it positively now. (Laugh at yourself, you know?) Its funny too, I know what the stigma with clowns tend to be, in the same way that I know the Stigma surrounding Puppets. A lot of my artwork is, 'this individual, this object, this whomever- that is different, is nothing to be afraid of.' When I created Welcome Home, something I wanted to do was highlight the positivity of puppets while understanding why they could be seen as such. (I know the fears- The vacant staring, their similarities to human beings, sometimes its the way they move- I hear that, even about Elmo or the puppets on Rainbow or H.R. Puf N' Stuf) I hoped folks could sympathize with these things, you know? You care about the puppet. Of course, the puppet could be anything! Thank you!!
