this was the last thing she could have seen coming. this was supposed to be the happiest time of her life, she was engaged to someone she loved – people were always happy with engagements and yet now…she wasn’t unhappy, she was conflicted. ❝ why are ya’ doin’ d’is? why are ya’ sayin’ all of d’is now? i’m gettin’ MARRIED! ❞

“YEH think I don’ know that, Becky?” He responds, beginning to walk back and forth as his heart pounds inside of his chest. “For too long, I thought about not sayin’ a thing, but I couldn’ keep this in any longer!” He adds, stopping as his hands move around before resting on his head, interlocking with one another. He’s breathing heavily, not sure of what else he could add before shaking his head.

“I wanted to let ya go on an’ get married but - I knew if I didn’t say somethin’, I would always be regrettin’ the opportunity that had passed to at least tell ya how I was feelin’ an’ what I was feelin’.” It’s not something he wants to admit but at least he has - at least it’s out, even if it doesn’t do anything for them.
