Greer…

You will never know how much we all loved you, or how badly we’ll all miss you, but I know you’re still with us in spirit. Your bright light was extinguished far too soon, but we can still feel its warmth. When a corner of the community was hurting, you created a safe haven for those who needed it most. When you noticed someone feeling alone, you cultivated new and lasting friendships between people who would’ve never met otherwise.

None of us will ever forget what you’ve done for us, and everything you’ve taught us. You were fighting your own hidden battles, but you never let that stop you from helping others. Whenever you set goals for yourself, you saw them through. You embraced us all for who we were, and always inspired us to be our best selves. In your honor, we’ll follow your example of strength and compassion. In your memory, I know we’ll make you proud.

Mourning Greer

Greer was found dead Saturday the 15th. Words can’t really describe the grief I feel over this. We’re in mourning of her sudden death. We’re still trying to put the pieces together, but we were told she died of a seizure. She was deeply loved by her community. Everyone kept talking about how compassionate, warm, and welcoming she was to other people. Despite her hardships, they say she kept giving it her all, which is why it’s incredibly sad to learn she died of a young age. We’re still trying to get through this and figure out what happened, but people are thinking about hosting something in FF14 out of respect to her and potentially helping fund her funeral. I’ll try to post information about that later if anything is organized. She touched many people’s lives. Greer found me when I first started playing FF14 and we both had a deep love for Dark Souls. She listened to me through a lot of problems I had as a friend, and she did the same for many other people. She was a good friend of mine, and we’ve lost an incredible person. “She wore the aesthetics of darkness but underneath it all was nothing but light.” - Bubble Tia

So, on twitter, I went on a little creative spree and redesigned my au ra with elements of the concept arts we’ve seen during one of the presentations regarding the development of Heavensward which showed the au ras being FAR more monstrous in nature and design. Although I don’t hate the designs we’ve got, I kinda wish we had gotten the monster ones. I used to play a similar character back in Aion whose face was cracked and looked more monstrous. I miss those days…

So, with that in mine, I redesigned my au ra character into this cute abomination! I think it came out nicely and I might actually make it a head-canon of mine!
