currently lying on my bed in front of the fan working full speed, naked and wet in my bathrobes as I am devouring another box of gelato i just got from the supermarket... the real crisis will begin the day we lack water and energy and lose our ability to cope with the high temperatures
downed another half a kilogram of gelato... reminds me of that scene from a cancelled tv show (revolution) where the parents let their daughter consume all the ice cream since they know electric isn't gonna come forever. Italians really know how to make good ice cream.
Old screenshots from a project I decided to abandon lately, involving a mixture of Blender and Roblox Studio, it was a rather ridiculous project now that I think about it.
First screenshot's depicting a view from a pizzeria towards the main street with a statue of Immanuel Kant at the centre. The original statue is in Königsberg/Kaliningrad. Building on the left is a Georgian-era home filled with art and objects I like. Lions at a distance on the right of the statue are a couple of Landseer's lions adorning Nelson's Column.
Second screenshot is from inside the aforementioned home, part of the second-floor ceiling decoration containing the allegorical figures of the virtues of good gouvernance, visible one's here are La Fedeltà (Fidelity) and La Mansuetudine (Meekness), painted by il Veronese like the rest of the ceiling. The original soffitto arrangement can be seen in Sala del Collegio in Palazzo Dogale, Venice.
Pictures partially seen are: i) 'The Giudecca', David Roberts (British), 1854. ii) 'London: The Thames from Somerset House Terrace towards the City', Canaletto (Venetian), 1750-51. iii) 'Sarah, Duchess of Marlborough (1660–1744), Politician and Courtier', Charles Jervas (Irish), c. 1700.
The game is quite interactable, you can blow up everything, including the residence. I mostly played using the run feature on Studio, sometimes I would run a script to flood the land so priceless objects of art would be floating on the water. I think the best part is the process of accessing the concealed apartments which involves pushing through a wooden panel that is disguised as an innocent painting, also painted by Veronese. I'll miss working on this project, kept me busy in my teens.
