“I am aware,” Michael told her softly, eyes flickering towards the hammer she carried around with her. He could tell that the weapon required strength to hold, strength that one would think such a small body would not be able to possess, and shaking his now-tiny limbs let him feel the flex of more than capable muscle beneath the skin. It was just odd, and disorientating. It wasn’t right.
He gave her a swift nod as he stumbled over to the hammer, giving it a nervous look. He wasn’t too sure how easily he’d be able to carry it; his legs still felt wobbly and unsure, and each step required an amount of thought that he’d never put into such action before. With a grunt, he decided to just treat it like a bat, and grabbed the handle firmly. A giant heave, and it was in the air, teetering as he wobbled backwards; he shifted his footing and found stability once more, and huffed as he dropped it down to his shoulder, slamming his eyes shut in readiness for pain. Instead, the hammer landed on his shoulder with a light rustle of clothing. He heaved a relieved sigh.
“Lead the way,” Michael agreed, peering out over the area they were in. He truly had no sense of direction, even in Echo’s body; he couldn’t tell where they were or where to go. He could only hope Echo could.
Echo was surprised he was able to hold it up with how unsteady he was at current, but she knew her body was more than capable. She may of been thin, but she was built to an extent. Not as much as Michael, that was for certain. She was surprised he seemed to be handling her terrible eyesight decently. Echo, on the other hand, wad adjusting to Michael’s heightened vision.
Due to her near blindness, Echo relied on her ears and a small sensory organ in her brain that linked to her eyes, so she may properly detect impure spirits. Not like she needed sight too much anyway, as her competences didn’t require them. They were all physical.
Without another word, she proceeded forward, looking around curiously. The land looked much better this way, the colors processing much easier than before. A small crept out of her throat as she slouched over. She just hoped they wouldn’t need to find anything on the way.
