ok but Jesper realizing that Alva, Klaus and everyone was in danger, and then only yelling Klaus’s name. not Alva, just Klaus. and you can’t use the excuse that “maybe he forgot” because

he acknowledged her literally a sentence before,

even if he didn’t, he had KLAUS on his mind. only him.

everyone there was in danger, the only reason that it was only Klaus and Jesper then was because Jesper intervened and made the situation go off the rails.

moral of the story is that Jesper was more panicked about Klaus getting hurt then his “love interest.”

Jesper was recounting the letters when Margu rushed in.

she was saying something he couldn’t understand, as usual, but he just assumed she was saying hello.

“Margu! what’re you doing here? it’s been a long day, so many new letters—“

he was cut off with her saying the same phrase again.

“yes yes, I know, hello to you too.” he smiled as he picked her up in his arms.

she shook her head, then pointed at him and said it again.

“is there something wrong? is there something on my face?”

she sighed, then said it again, slower.

“okay I give up, let’s go ask Alva.”

she nodded profusely, and hoped down from his hold, running out of the house.

“woah! wait up kid.”

Alva heard an impatient knock on her door, then another, and another,

“wait a second! I’m coming!”

another knock.

she swung open the door, “can you chill out—“

Jesper shoves Margu into her face, “Alva. help me. she’s gone insane.”

Margu gave her a huge smile, then said it again.

“she seems fine to me?” she laughed.

“nonono, she keeps saying that sentence— Margu say it again.”

she gave him a confused look, then said it again.

“see.”

Alva took Margu into her arms, “I guess we can check it out, come on in.”

Jesper sighed, “thank you!”

“hmm...”

“what? did you get it? Jesper asked impatiently. as he braided, though very incorrectly, Margu’s hair.

“almost just looking for... ah!”

Alva’a jaw dropped, and she tried to hold back a laugh.

“wha— why are you laughing? what? show me.” he grabbed for the notebook, only for Alva to pull it away.

Alva tried to regain for breath, “no no! it’s nothing it’s really nothing—“

“lair! give it here. please.”

“you’re not gonna like it— well you will. a lot. but—“

“Alva.” Jesper tapped his foot on the wood floor.

“fine finefine.”

Jesper took the notebook, raising an eyebrow as he did. he skimmed over the sentence and—

Alva laughed more, doubling over as Jesper’s face turned bright crimson. even Margu giggled.

“wh— no no. this is a mistranslation— you’ve got it wrong. let me—“

Margu poked him in the side, and shook her head no.

“says it right there mailman.” Alva smiled.
