Rebuilding What Was Erased – A Message from Abedmajed in Gaza
My name is Abedmajed, and I live in Gaza with what remains of my once large and loving family.
In a single missile strike, we lost over 25 members of our family. They were not just names. They were mothers, daughters, sons, grandparents — people we shared meals with, laughed with, and built dreams with.
The missile hit our family home — the heart of everything we knew.
Among those killed were: 🕊️ My mother 🕊️ My sister 🕊️ My older brother His wife and their three daughters 🕊️ My uncle, his wife, and all their sons and grandchildren
We were left with nothing but rubble and grief. Yet somehow, my brother and I survived. And now, we carry the responsibility of rebuilding what was taken — not just for ourselves, but for our father, our surviving siblings, and the memory of those we lost.

I don't have the patience to write a post now. In fact I don't know what the fuck I should write after nineteen months of genocide. Everyday, these past few days I have been reading that "Israel" is bombing and killing more and more people- that they are targeting ambulances and children. My friends in Gaza are so scared. I feel helpless and I am disgusted by it, because wtf am I feeling helpless about, when I am not facing the bombs and I am not starving in this summer heat?
Last night I was talking to Siraj Abudayeh. Siraj is not doing well- he is sad and he feels hopeless and this is someone whom in the short time I have known, has always chosen to be optimistic about the future where he along with his community, rebuilds Gaza. But right now he cannot think of any of it, and this is because the free world, the international order, everything has proven itself to be nothing but a lie. Last night we didn't talk about the future, we didn't talk about the campaign. Instead Siraj has urged everyone to pray for Gaza. So I want you to keep Siraj in your thoughts, pray for him and his family's safety. And I also want you all to believe that Siraj will one day see a Free Palestine. if you've been hearing less about gaza lately, it's because most of the journalists are dead. hassan eslayeh, who was murdered yesterday in his hospital bed by israel, had 351 videos archived on tiktokgenocide.com (an online archive of israeli atrocities i recommend you browse). this single journalist alone had contributed 351 videos. the same database lists that 252 journalists have been killed in gaza since october 7th. the cpj's archive of journalists killed is 178. they have a more conservative and less accurate estimate since they have less information on those media workers who work with local outlets.
regardless of the exact number, the number of journalists killed is so high that it is markedly affecting the footage and documentation we have coming out of gaza now. let me prove it to you: 70 people were killed today, May 14th 2025. did you know that?
77 was yesterday's final toll, and already over 54 killed today, most of them women and children (not that it matters). six families in khan younes entirely erased, from the babies to the grandparents. no breaking news alerts from western outlets, no ticker on CNN, no comment from any news anchors. the only people doing that job right now it seems are american college students getting their diplomas withheld for mentioning palestine in their graduation speeches

I had another hunger attack tonight. Suddenly, you feel as if your stomach wall is stuck together, and you feel a bitter taste in your throat as if the stomach acid has reached your mouth. You'll start to get a severe headache or a feeling of emptiness surrounding your brain.
I don't know how to describe it... When you try to stand up, you feel dizzy and unsteady. You quickly try to support yourself with something and close your eyes for a while, and the blood then tries to reach your brain again.
You have some time to go out and look for anything, no matter how simple, to put in your body and reach your stomach, so that the body is given a temporary and false indication that your body has started eating, thus breaking the hunger attack for a while and you remain waiting for the next hunger attack.
Some people manage to overcome this, falling on the streets or in their tents.
Over time, our bodies begin to digest themselves, and muscle mass disappears, leaving us severely emaciated.
If time goes on, our vital organs begin to collapse, some of us suffer from functional failure... and the body begins to suffer from diseases that gradually lead to death... The weapon of hunger is not just an expressive description; it is indeed a deadly weapon that we are exposed to at every hour.

hi all - i have an update on ibrahim @wolf-aid 's father, yasser. in january, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. even after the traumatic surgery that was performed on him, the cancer has destroyed his bladder, and he needs another operation for a replacement. we are not sure how much this will cost, but we are trying to raise as much as we can to save his life!
please help ibrahim raise what he needs to have his father transported to the hospital ASAP! he is on the verge of death and needs help urgently!!!
