New trawllowers and ferrutuals are so lucky because back in the day it was a toss up whether or not you were going to have to see skinner sweet on your dashboard or if you were going to see me lamenting my insane living situation

It’s difficult to articulate my current feelings in a way that makes sense so I’ve just been practicing sort of sitting with them in silence and not sharing them. Not necessarily keeping them a secret but looking at them and saying Sharing this would put people in a weird position and choosing just to sit with it and allow myself to feel it and remind myself that the feeling will pass and on the other side of it is something fantastically beautiful and that all change is painful and all growing requires growing pains and someday I won’t care about this at all. I’ve talked about it once or twice when asked directly but beyond that I’m not bringing it up because I’m practicing existing next to discomfort instead of within it or trying to do without it entirely

In related information I’ve been feeling a lot less crazy DID wise and haven’t had as many switches/freakouts which is really nice and I think the result of my first time being in a living situation that isn’t stressful or unpleasant to me for whatever reason. Still have had a few switches but they’ve been after distinctly uncomfortable incidents or recollections of trauma as opposed to just sort of the constant instability of either my home life in New Hampshire or my roommates ever changing moodswings and unpredictability . Im also probably just very dissociated to a degree because I’ve been having trouble with mirrors again lately and that might be numbing me but it’s okay I come out on top
