What's your rouxls kaard voice headcanon?
For me personally, I hc him to have a similar voice that James from Team Rocket (pokemon), but like with a pretend British accent that is super fake because it's not his natural accent and he acts to look more fancy or whatever😅
I think James had different VA in English, but to me it would be the first one from like the 1990's/2000's.
I know this is partly because I am biased cause I really Adore Team Rocket Trio, and kinda see a bit of James in Rouxls' characteristics, but also in that unused voice found in the files for Rouxls does remind me James' voice! like I hear a bit of the VA...but it might be just me 😂
The contrast of Rouxls in Chapter 1 being asked about Lancer by the fun gang and being like:
"I don't care about him and can't stand that he calls me lesser dad! I'm not his dad, I just take care of him on behalf of his dad! That's all!!!"
to chapter 3, when Lancer actually talks to him and he is like:
"Not know Little Lancer, Lesser-Daddy is busy right now."
LIKE LMAO
Like he goes around telling everyone he couldn't care less, but when interacting with Lancer, all the pretenses are thrown out of the window, and he is like "Are you okay little Lancer 🥺 Let me shine light onto your hands to make sure you aren't sick" etc. to him
Interesting fact:
Apparently in Japanese, the old Japanese used for the prophecy in Chapter 4 gives a similar vibe to the Japanese used for Rouxls' speech, to the point that some Japanese fans speculate/think there's a connection
I don't know how to read Japanese, so I am unable to explain. It's just something that came to my attention and it was brought up when I was discussing with a Japanese fan. I saw that multiple fans were bringing it up when they were sharing their thoughts of the new chapters
English isn't my first language, but I didn't particularly read this connection in English? I felt like the English for the prophecy is very different from the way Rouxls talks (he often uses Shakespeare or Shakespeare-adjacent words), but thought to bring it up, wanting to hear people's thoughts about it🤔

I'm no longer really using tumblr or really active here (too busy irl), but to celebrate the chapters being released, I am going to reblog some art I see online here for a while!
So spoiler alert? (I'm going to tag it as "Deltarune spoilers")

About Rouxls: I am happy with what it gave! He was hilarious!! I'm happy that he gets to make me smile and laugh even after all those years! :D And I adored that we finally saw on screen his interaction with Lancer and how he indeed cares about the little guy! Honestly, that's all I wanted!
