We didn’t have a word for our, as you guys call, gay/lesbian people. So we coined that word as an umbrella for all our tribes. We never said, “Well, you’re transgender. You’re bisexual. You’re lesbian.” We never knew those terms. Those are all from Western culture, you know, LGBTQ and all that. So on some level, it’s about getting rid of labels. Those terms were forced upon us.

the government is introducing an anti-lgbtq law that bans lgbtq media content, lgbtq themed products and tv ads; and says that ungerage kids (under 18 years old) shouldn’t be allowed to see homosexuality or change of gender, they shouldn’t recieve introduction and popularization about it, and they would regulate sex-ed classes according to this. (x)

They’ll be allowing sex-ed and lectures about sexuality, alright. By a government-appointed list of people that are not subject to any qualification in the fields of psychology or sexual health - rather, they’ll be handpicked for their ideology - or better yet: their connections to government officials. Of course noone will get to say anything about it and noone will be held accountable.

Did we also mention how mentioning that sex could occur outside of situations that result in childbirth will be also banned?

And the best part: we already know that if any politicians speak up about it, they’ll be flagged as pedophiles and the propaganda-machine that is most television channels, newspapers and news websites will be relentless in attacking said politicians, screaming “pedo” as many times as they can as they have done so many times in the past. And those of us that want a change can’t do shit about it until the election next year.

(which is why I encourage everyone to volunteer to count the votes in your home region, so you can do your part and more in trying to gain a home that feels like a home)

I have no idea how much this counts - probably next to nothing - but there’s a petition going around. I genuinely think that there’s no hope of avoiding this, but it’s worth a try.
