what the folks with unchecked misogynistic biases don't get is that i'd rather have a female character be evil and interesting than angelic and boring. i think being boring is a far worse thing for a character— a narrative tool which is not a real person and should not be judged as such— to be. i think we need fewer benevolent madonnas and more cutthroat saboteurs when it comes to fictional female characters and if you're just saying "yesss put the evil woman in a woodchipper" you are NOT playing with me in the space!!!
