My finger is no longer injured, so I managed to continue painting. Still a ways to go, but I'm really happy with how it's coming along.
When I decided to paint, I wasn't expecting to use these colors, but as soon as I sat down, I immediately went for the red. I've never used red as the base or a major colour in any of my previous acrylic paintings (I only had crimson too), but as soon as I thought of the subject, red, browns, and light greens jumped out at me. It's definitely my most complex painting in terms of color and movement, which makes sense. In my previous paintings, the subject was always myself, a situation or emotion I was working through. This painting, is a friend, and therefore much more complex than a single instance in my own life. I'm looking forward to bringing out the rest of this painting 😄

The Wishing Fish. 22x21. Acrylic and mixed media on hardboard. 2025. WIP.
I haven’t posted a painting in a bit so here it is. Needs a few touch ups in certain spots but nothing is perfect. Currently working on two more paintings and so many drawings I lost count. lol
Have a good day everyone.
Finally have a dedicated side blog for my art @izzyimpart <3
I'd greatly appreciate any mutuals who like my work to give it a follow. Honestly, I'm just happy to have another archival space that isn't just Instagram.
Thanks for looking at my work ^_^
