✧ Jung Haena was Emma’s only friend in high school, whom the latter befriended during the last few months of their senior year.
✧ Emma only befriended her as Haena was a vital part in her revenge plan on Hong Jinae, her longtime tormentor and cyberbully, who was responsible for spreading rumours about Emma.
✧ Haena was a scholarship student at Emma’s private school.
✧ Emma convinced Haena to apply for the same overseas scholarship as Jinae, knowing that Haena would beat the latter.
✧Emma helped Haena by procuring the best tutors, teaching her the mannerisms of the wealthy, and even buying clothes for her. Over time, their friendship became genuine, which conflicted with Emma as she felt guilty for using Haena.
✧ Haena, on the other hand, started developing feelings for Emma. The latter eventually found out, but told her she was making a mistake, not because they were both girls, but because Emma says that she herself was not a good person.
✧ After Haena won the scholarship, beating Jinae and accomplishing Emma’s revenge, Emma confessed that she had only become her friend to use her.
✧ To her surprise, Haena said she already figured it out since Emma didn’t bother to make friends in the three years of high school. However, she went along with it because Emma never pitied her like the other rich kids. She hugged Emma, thanking her for being her friend and her first love

✧ Kim Taehyung is Emma’s ultimate what-if.
✧ In January 2022, Emma found out about a smear campaign planned against her by Min Heejin, intended to cause controversy upon her debut and to get her kicked out of the idol industry. This all stemmed from Emma rejecting Min’s offer to join ADOR the year before.
✧ While planning how to get back at Min, she witnessed the CEO discussing with Taehyung about his solo album.
✧ Realising she needed a backup plan, Emma auditioned to be part of the album production by providing female background vocals. As she was the top vocalist amongst the HYBE trainees at the time, she easily got the part.
✧ While working with Taehyung, they became close to the point where Emma revealed parts of her past with the intention of gaining his trust. At the same time, she got insider info on Min.
✧ She didn’t think that Taehyung would end up falling for her, especially since he was suspicious of her at the start. As her debut was getting closer, Emma intended to accomplish her plans, especially when she found out that he loved her romantically.
✧ Taehyung found out about Emma’s hidden love for Jihoon when he found her sleeping in the practice room. When he held her head on his lap, the half-asleep Emma thought he was Jihoon and confessed how happy she was to see him, muttering Jihoon’s name at the end, and unknowingly breaking Taehyung’s heart.
✧ Taehyung found out about Emma’s plans and confronted her, angry that she was using him, and also disappointed that she didn’t love him as he loved her. She still ended up convincing him to film her and Min when she confronted the latter with the evidence she gathered.
✧ Min ended up slapping Emma, which the latter intended to catch her in the act. However, Taehyung was reluctant to give her the video as Emma intended to show it to the board to end Min’s career. In a fit of anger, Emma yelled that he couldn’t possibly love her because he didn’t understand her desperation for her survival.
✧ “You have parents and siblings who love you. I don’t have any of that, so why should I care about Min Heejin when she’s about to get away with ruining me?”
✧ Emma left Taehyung behind, saying that in the end, the only one who's on her side will always be herself.
✧ However, Taehyung emailed Min the next week, saying he had evidence of her assault on Emma. He blackmailed her into calling off the smear campaign and to leave Emma alone unless she wanted him to release the video.
✧ When Emma asked him why he would do that, especially when he was against her plan, Taehyung confessed his love for her and that she was wrong. Kim Taehyung would always have Yoon Yiseo’s back, even when she couldn’t love him back. He hinted that Jihoon was a lucky guy, much to her confusion.
✧ Emma and Taehyung continued being friends, with Taehyung eventually finding love again. When Emma and Jihoon finally started dating, he congratulated her, genuinely happy for her.

The Red Queen is a 2027-2028 South Korean television series starring Emma Yoon and Park Jihoon. Based on the first novel of Love in Joseon, a series of adult web-novels by author Moon Haewon, it is about the budding, heated romance between a noblewoman and a young prince amid an arranged engagement during a period of political turmoil. It was released worldwide on Netflix from December 3, 2027, to January 7, 2028, to critical acclaim and international attention. In 24 hours, it became the top Netflix series in over 100+ countries, earning its spot as one of the most successful television series of the decade, becoming a flagship drama for Netflix.
PREMISE
Set in the Joseon era, Hwang Gyeol (Emma Yoon) is the only daughter of a noble family, engaged to be the bride of Grand Prince Sagyeong (Park Jihoon), the second son of the current King, since childhood.
During the month before their upcoming nuptials, the King and Crown Prince are assassinated, making Sagyeong the King. Gyeol, who had been preparing her whole life to be a princess, must adapt to her role as the future Queen amid the chessboard of the royal court while also dealing with the budding, scandalous romance between her and her future husband.
CAST & CHARACTERS
✧ Emma Yoon as Hwang Gyeol
The only daughter of a noble family and the betrothed of Grand Prince Sagyeong. They have a complicated history involving the death of her older brother, who was his closest friend. After marrying Sagyeong, she became the Queen of Joseon. By the end of the series, it is confirmed that she is pregnant with her and Sagyeong’s first child.
✧ Park Jihoon as Grand Prince Sagyeong
The second son of the King of Joseon. He is betrothed to Hwang Gyeol, the younger sister of Hwang Tae, his childhood friend, who was a scholar at the palace up until his tragic death, which strained his relationship with Gyeol. When his father and older brother were murdered, he was suddenly crowned as the next King of Joseon, a role he never expected to have.
✧ Moon Sangmin as Hwang Tae
The only son of a noble family, the older brother of Gyeol, and Sagyeong’s childhood friend. He was a scholar at the royal palace until he was tragically killed a few years before the events of the Red Queen. Moon mainly appeared in flashback memories and hallucinations.
BEHIND THE SCENES
✧ During filming, the cast and crew had no idea that Emma and Jihoon were dating. In fact, they only found out about them when they went public, just a month before the release of The Red Queen.
✧ The Red Queen was already one of the most anticipated dramas of the year. From Weak Hero fans wanting another taste of Jemma’s chemistry to the fact that it was adapted from a best-selling novel, Emma and Jihoon’s dating news made the drama’s popularity explode. After the release of the first two episodes, fans were hungry for more as they waited diligently for the next couple of months for all twelve episodes to be released.
✧ Most of the viewers were surprised by the explicit sex scenes, which made the series comparable to Bridgerton in its levels of spiciness. If fans thought the Weak Hero bed scenes were hot, then the bed scenes for RQ were scorching, because not only did Emma have nude scenes, but Jihoon also filmed them. His butt went viral among the Western audience, which Emma teased him about a lot.
✧ One of the main reasons why the drama became so popular in the West was not only because of the sex scenes, but they also liked the drama, history and romance surrounding the main characters.
✧ Emma and Jihoon had a total of five different sex scenes, starting from episode 4.
INTERVIEWS & PROMOTIONS
✧ The series became viral practically overnight, garnering thousands of viewers and maintaining that steady number all the way to the final episode.
✧ After the first half of the series, the cast were invited to various talk shows in the US to promote The Red Queen. Emma and Jihoon were visibly more affectionate there, even sharing a few kisses in public, which were caught by paparazzi.
✧ One funny moment was when they were on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where he asked the director whether she knew that Emma and Jihoon were dating. She claimed she had no idea and that she thought they were just very good friends. Jimmy just deadpanned, saying, “well, they’re clearly more than just friends,” which led the whole studio to crack up.
✧ Jihoon went viral again for being the very epitome of heart eyes whenever Emma was talking. My man was not afraid to show the whole world just how much he loved her.
✧ Jihoon and Emma did one of those couple interviews in New York, where he revealed that he had been in love with her for two years before he finally confessed. Of course, he left out the part where she jumped him before they got together.
✧ Then came the Primetime Emmy Awards. Both Jihoon and Emma were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor and Lead Actress, but they didn’t have their hopes up. To their shock, they both won in their categories.
✧ Jihoon especially didn’t expect to win since he was up against actors like Pedro Pascal, Robert Pattinson and Michael B. Jordan, actors that he grew up watching. His speech had Emma and the whole cast in tears.
“I really, really didn’t expect to win. I started acting when I wasn’t even ten years old, but I never thought I would be able to hold an award like this. I’m just - *starts tearing up before taking a deep breath* I would like to thank my parents and my older brother for believing in me. I would like to thank the cast and the amazing crew who made this drama happen. Last but not least, I would like to thank Yoon Yiseo. Most of you know her as Emma, but for me, she is my faithful partner whom I have loved since the moment we met. Thank you.”
✧ No one could deny Jihoon and Emma’s love for each other. After his speech, they gained a lot of supporters for their relationship.

May 2024
“Yiseo, I’ve been in love with you since we met.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t return your feelings.”
“Emma, are you listening to me?”
The young woman was pulled out of her daydream by her manager, who was looking at her from the driver's seat. She didn’t realise that they had already reached the filming location for Weak Hero Class 2.
“Are you okay?” Mina asked her. Nam Mina was only a couple of years older than her and had been Yiseo’s manager since her debut. She was one of the few people in the company who had the idols’ best interests in her heart. “You’ve been out of it lately.”
Well, in Emma’s defense, who wouldn’t be out of it after one of your closest friends suddenly confessed their love for you?
For her, Park Jihoon was an anomaly. He was one of the few people who truly knew her. He knew what she went through. He knew her soul, and yet, he wasn’t disgusted by her.
He was also the only person who was familiar with her in the physical sense. He knew what her lips tasted like and which spots to touch to get her hot and wanton, even if it was for the camera.
Emma treasured Jihoon, and after that night, she wondered why he would choose to ruin their friendship.
Park Jihoon made Emma Yoon feel cascades of emotions that she had long ago convinced herself incapable of having.
He made her vulnerable.
Despite all of the rumours regarding her unfriendly personality, there was one quality of Emma that she had always had since her first day in front of the camera. She was highly professional, never mixing business with pleasure. Aside from the few friends she had outside her group, she rarely socially interacted with anyone.
She went through her scenes with relative ease, not letting the tension between her and Jihoon get in the way. Emma already got so much crap because her haters believed she paid her way into acting. She didn’t need her poker face ruining it.
“Are you really not going to say anything to me?” Jihoon asked her when he walked into her waiting room.
Emma didn’t look up. Her eyes were laser-focused on the script, quickly scanning her lines for the opening scene of the next episode.
“What’s there to say?” She flipped her script shut, finally looking up at the young man. “Sunbae, you just got caught up with the chemistry of our characters. That’s all there is to it.”
“Yiseo, do you think I don’t know my own heart?” The older man scoffed lightly. “Do you think I fell in love with every one of my co-stars?”
“Because!” Emma raised her voice, her cheeks turning red before muttering, “I’m the one you’ve gone the furthest with.”
While she wasn’t the first nor the last actress who had kiss scenes with Jihoon, she remained the only one he ever had sex scenes with. The senior actor also had matching flushed cheeks.
“I’m not that shallow,” Jihoon defended himself, “and I was already in love with you before that.”
“In love?” Emma repeated his words before slamming her script down on the coffee table in front of her. She stood up to face him. “Those words may be easy for you to say, but for me, they are the hardest words for me to hear.”
Although it has been years since she moved out of the Yoon estate, her memories of her abusive childhood still haunt her. For Yoon Yiseo, love represents hope, and hope can always be stolen away.
“Jihoon, you’re one of the few people who know exactly what I am.” While Emma wasn’t a bad person, she wouldn’t say she was a good person either. Her heart only gave itself away to her loved ones. Other than that, other people were unimportant and less meaningful. “You know just how far I am willing to go for my survival, so why would you think I would want the burden of your feelings? If you really are in love with me, then you’re crazier than I am.”
Emma never cried. Sure, she could cry in front of the camera whenever the script asked her to, but she could never cry for herself. Yet, why were her eyes as red and tear-brimmed as the man in front of her?
“Do you really believe that?” He asked her, his voice small and quiet. “Do you really believe you’re not worthy of being loved?”
Emma’s heart fluttered, but she stamped it down. Just because this kindness came from Jihoon, she couldn’t let herself fall for it. She couldn’t break her walls down for a momentary chance of happiness. After all, if her own sister was capable of deceiving her, it meant anyone was capable of abusing her trust. Even Jihoon had the ability to betray her, although her heart was twisted, disagreeing with her mind.
“From the day I was born, I was unwanted and disdained.” The British-Korean girl huffed. “If we date, more people will hate me for being Park Jihoon’s girlfriend. I’m sick of being hated on, of being called a bad person because I refuse to be their punching bag.”
Emma has suffered hate from the day she stepped onto the pink platform of Produce 48. Somehow, netizens hated her even more when she didn’t react to their comments. Her emotionless response fueled their hate to the point where they wondered if she even had human emotions.
Even now, with all she had achieved, there was no end to the growing list of reasons for her hate. Especially after the whole ordeal with Min Heejin and HYBE, even when she didn’t let the CEO buy her into ADOR, Emma was still dragged into it.
“If you really believe you love me, you would let me live my life.”
“Please, Jihoon, snap out of it before either one of us gets hurt.”
Emma moved past him, ready to leave before Jihoon said something that made her freeze.
“That night, you didn’t say you didn’t return my feelings. You just said you couldn’t return them.” Although her back was towards him, Emma could feel him staring her down. “Why did you say that? If you are this selfish person you believe you are, why didn’t you just say you’ll never love me back?”
Emma should have done those things. However, the thought of breaking Jihoon, like how she broke Na Jiyeon and her own sister, terrified her. She knew that if she shattered his heart, it meant she had succumbed to the wickedness that infected her father.
Instead of giving him an answer, the antisocial woman left him behind, neither confirming nor denying him. Emma couldn’t give him an answer, especially when she wasn’t familiar with what she felt for Jihoon.
They didn’t talk for a week after that. Emma and Jihoon worked together when it came to their scenes, but their habit of hanging out after work dissipated. The guys didn’t notice it, but Eunsoo certainly did.
Emma tried to throw the younger girl off, saying that it was no big deal, but months of working together meant they had gotten close, and Eunsoo knew she was lying to her face.
The idol-actress finally relented, telling her everything that had happened between her and Jihoon over the past week.
“Unnie, you seriously didn’t notice his feelings for you?” asked Eunsoo in disbelief.
Emma smacked her lips together. “Were …they really obvious?”
“100 %!” The younger actress answered. “I called Hyunwook the other day, and he said that Jihoon-oppa has been in love with you for years now.”
Somehow, hearing that made her heart jump. Whether it was in excitement or dread, Emma didn’t dare to find out. She couldn’t fathom why Jihoon supposedly fell in love with her. If it were for superficial reasons like her beauty or her wealth, she would have understood him, but he knew who she was. He knew there was some truth to her villainess status. He knew how ruthless she could be, so why would he maintain his love for her? Why would he set himself up for tragedy?
Why would someone so kind and gentle like Park Jihoon fall for someone so broken and twisted like Yoon Yiseo?
He made her question everything she knew about herself, and yet, she couldn’t pull her heart away from him.
Filming was supposed to continue into the late night. However, a sudden downpour of rain stalled production for the week, with weather reports predicting heavy showers for the next few days.
Luckily, the filming location was just half an hour away from Emma’s house, which was her second residence. She primarily resided in her two-bedroom apartment that was just across the apartment where the rest of her members lived.
She inherited her house from her late mother. It was the Yoon family’s former summer estate that was in Seon Nari’s name. Emma sometimes lived there when she wanted to get away from all of the fame, and the estate was maintained by the household staff she personally hired.
Emma was in her car, ready to leave, when she saw Jihoon on his phone. Most of the crew had gone back home. However, like her, he tends to stay behind after filming to work on his lines. What was strange was that his manager was usually with him, ready to take him anywhere he wanted, but Emma hadn’t seen the older man in hours.
She knew she should let it go. Jihoon was a fully-grown man who was capable of getting home on his own, but the harsh weather conditions made Emma relent. Just because she rejected him, it didn’t mean she couldn’t care about him as a junior actress.
She drove up to him, sliding the window down to reveal who she was.
“Sunbae, why are you still here?” She asked. “Where’s your manager?”
“I dismissed him hours ago. He had a family emergency.” Neither of them acknowledged the fact that this was their first conversation since their fight. “Yiseo, you should go. I can call a cab.”
“In this weather?” The young woman scoffed in disbelief, gesturing to the heavy downpour. “Just get in.”
“I’m fine. I can’t ask you to drive all the way to Seoul-”
“My house is just half an hour away from here. We can take shelter there for the night and drive back to Seoul in the morning.”
Jihoon hesitated. “It’s still risky. What if somebody sees you-”
“Aish!” Emma snapped, raising her voice. “Just get in!”
He quickly obeyed her. Minutes later, they were on the road, and neither of them had spoken a word to each other. Before Jihoon’s confession and Emma’s subsequent rejection, they could have talked about anything for hours, but now, all she could think about was Jihoon’s crestfallen expression when she rejected him without a second thought.
Just so the atmosphere didn’t become too awkward, Emma decided to call someone on her phone.
“Hey, girl. What’s up?” Yunjin’s American-accented voice came through. When it was just the two of them, she and Emma always spoke in English, mainly because the younger girl found Emma’s British accent fascinating.
“I’m good. Yunjin, I’m not going home because of the rain, so can you girls just take Romi in for the night?” Romi was Emma’s cat that she had adopted since it was just a little kitten. She was now three years old and was the clingiest cat. She often demanded cuddles and treats.
“Sure. I love that little rascal! So, where are you staying for the night? A hotel?”
“No, I’m staying at my house.”
“The summer home?” Emma had brought the girls to her house. It had more than enough rooms to accommodate them, and having them along made it easier for her to breathe in that house. Even though the Yoon family no longer resided there, and she had thrown away every single item reminiscent of them, they still haunted her in her nightmares. “Are you going to be okay? Wouldn’t you be lonely?”
“I’ll be fine. Jihoon’s staying over, too.”
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line.
“Jihoon? As in Park Jihoon?” Emma didn’t bother to answer Yunjin. “Girl, what! Wait! Are you guys hooking up? I told you, from day one, that man wanted to fuck you-”
Emma quickly hung up on Yunjin before turning to Jihoon, who was wide-eyed. Even if he wasn’t fluent, he knew more than enough English to know what Yunjin was saying at the end.
“Yunjin’s open-minded. She’s a foreigner.” The British-Korean woman explained as if she herself wasn’t a foreigner either.
Jihoon thought, “Well, it’s not like she’s wrong.”
Instead of saying that, he asked her, “You have a summer home?”
“Well, it’s not really a summer house anymore. I used to spend the summers there when I was a kid.” Emma spent most of her time with her mum, which was how she always preferred it. “My mother gave me the house after she passed away.”
Despite how rarely she talked about her, Jihoon knew Emma loved her mother dearly. The frigid walls she had seemed to tear down whenever she reminisced about her.
“She must have really loved you,” Jihoon said, making his last love look at him. “Even though I have never met her, it feels like I understand her feelings.”
Emma knew what he was trying to confess. She knew that she shouldn’t let him indulge in his fantasies about whatever non-existent romance they had. She should have broken his heart, but something prevented her from doing so.
She didn’t agree with him, but she also didn’t disagree with him. “She would have liked you.”
It turned out that Emma’s house wasn’t like any summer home Jihoon had ever been to. He had no idea why he was expecting a small hanok inn. Yiseo’s house was more like a Western-style mansion with twelve rooms and at least ten members of household staff. That was how he found out that she didn’t just grow up wealthy. She grew up chaebol-wealthy.
Honestly, he should have expected it. Even before her debut, the way she dressed was completely different from that of any other trainee. Emma dressed in quiet but classic and timeless pieces that spoke of generational wealth. She dressed like a typical chaebol heiress instead of a struggling trainee. Like she didn’t care about the rules set for idols. Maybe that was why she unnerved some people.
Even the bed in the guest room was more comfortable than any mattress Jihoon had ever slept on.
What Jihoon did notice was the lack of family photos around the mansion. While there were some photos of Yiseo with her mum, including an adorable picture of her as a kid with missing front baby teeth, there were no pictures of the rest of her family.
Jihoon didn’t know much of her history. Just that she cut herself off years ago because they mistreated her. That was all she had told him. He never pressed for anything more, but he had a feeling that her scars ran deeper than she showed.
He listened to the pitter-patter drops of rainfall hitting the windowpanes, trying to fall asleep when suddenly, there was a sharp scream.
“Yiseo-yah?” He recognised that scream from months of filming with her, but this one chilled him to the bone. He wondered if he was just hearing things when the screaming continued. He pulled the covers off. “YISEO-YAH!”
Jihoon rushed to the end of the corridor where Emma’s room was, and slammed the door open. There, he found her, thrashing around in her bed. Her eyes were still closed, and her shrieks were sharp.
“STOP IT! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!”
“Yiseo!” He hurried to her side, trying desperately to wake her out of her night terror. “Wake up! Yoon Yiseo!”
Her round eyes snapped open, pupils wide in fear. Emma was sweating, yet her skin was cold and clammy to the touch. Her silky, pale blue nightgown clung to her as she breathed rapidly.
“Oppa?” She finally said when her eyes focused on him. “W-what are you-”
“You were screaming,” Jihoon explained. He brushed back her bangs, placing his palm on her forehead. It seemed like she didn’t have a fever. “I thought you were attacked. You- I was really scared.”
Emma flushed red. Of all nights her nightmares could have reoccurred, why did it have to be tonight? She didn’t have them as much as she used to when she was a teenager, but they still popped up sometimes, which was why she opted to live separately from her members. She didn’t want to trouble them.
“I-I apologise.” She stammered. “It was just a silly dream. You can go back to bed. I’ll be fine-”
“There’s no way you’re fine after that nightmare!” Jihoon cut her off. He held her hand. “How can I just leave you alone? You’re- you are-”
“I’m what?”
His eyes settled, staring at her steadily. “Someone I love deeply. Nothing you say will ever change that.”
Emma bit her lip. Even though she tried to stop it, her heart grew at his words. A long time ago, she had felt a love like this. A warm love, given with no expectations in return, but that love had been taken away when her mum died, and the world became cold and frigid.
“My mother isn’t my real mother,” she revealed, waiting for his response. When Jihoon didn’t say anything, the words spilt out of her mouth before she could stop them. “When I was very young, my sister told me the truth. I was the result of an affair. The woman who gave birth to me blackmailed my father into adopting me. Neither of them wanted me.”
“Don’t you understand? The person you’re in love with is the wicked child of an adulterer and his mistress!” She started hitting his chest when he didn’t say anything. Tears were streaming down her face as she pleaded with him to leave her. “Go! Just go! You’re only hurting yourself! Go!”
He didn’t leave. Instead, Jihoon just wrapped his arms around her and brought her into his chest, hugging her tight.
“I’m not leaving you.” Tears were streaming down his face as he thought of how much pain she must have been in. “You did nothing wrong.”
“Just go!” Emma sobbed into his chest. “You’ll get hurt! I would just end up breaking you!”
“Maybe, but I’d rather be hurt with you by my side.” The past few days without her smile were some of the worst days of his life. “Yiseo, I love you. No matter what, I’ll always love you.”
Although Emma said they were the worst words for her to hear, those words lightened her heart. Jihoon made her believe there was a place for her in this world, a palace that she didn’t have to carve out with her own hands.
As Jihoon held her that night until they fell asleep, Emma believed that she was capable of truly loving someone.
After that night, even though their relationship wasn’t like how it used to be, Emma’s interactions with Jihoon weren’t restricted to work only. Bit by bit, they were regaining their friendly habits, having conversations about their common interests. All in all, things were going fine considering her rejection of his romantic feelings.
So, why couldn’t Emma fall asleep?
She checked the clock on the wall, noting that it was already past three in the morning, and she needed to be at the next filming location in four hours.
Emma has already tried everything. She drank warm chamomile tea, put a few drops of lavender oil on her pillow, and she even played white noise on her phone, yet her eyelids still weren’t heavy with the weight of sleep.
Well, she tried almost everything.
Left with no other choice, Emma reached into the bottom drawer of her bedside table, where her personal treasure trove lay. She unlocked it and pulled out a bottle of lube and her trusty dildo.
Even though she was a total virgin, Emma was interested in sex. She wasn’t interested in having random hookups. She knew how disastrous it would be if she got caught having those sorts of situationships, so she made do with sex toys to satisfy her carnal urges.
Emma pulled her cotton panties down to her ankles and bunched her nightdress around her waist. She generously lubed up her dildo, ensuring all five inches were lubricated, before slowly inserting the head into her untouched pussy.
“Ah!” She moaned as the dildo stretched her walls. It had been a while since she last used it as her schedule had been packed with filming, studio sessions, vocal lessons, and dance practices. She barely had any time for herself. Once her needy cunt fully adjusted to its girth, she thrust the dildo in and out with a steady rhythm. Not too fast, but not too slow either.
Suddenly, Emma remembered the first sex scene she had ever filmed with Jihoon, where he had her ankle over his shoulder, and she felt the knot in her lower belly tighten as her pussy gushed around the silicone phallus.
“No, I can’t think about him anymore. We’re just friends now.”
Emma couldn’t use Jihoon like that anymore. Determined to get herself off without any imaginary assistance from him, she flipped herself over, getting on her hands and knees. Inspired by a pornographic video she once saw, she tried to imitate the fast and rough rhythm, making the dildo fill her over and over.
Yet, images of Jihoon still flooded her mind, despite her mind telling her that she didn’t deserve to fantasise about him anymore. She imagined him taking her from behind like this. His hips pushing against her ass, bruising her thighs. She imagined his large hands groping her breasts and his nimble fingers pinching her hard nipples. She imagined Jihoon cumming inside of her, filling her up until her poor pussy couldn’t take it anymore.
“OPPA!! Jihoon-oppa!” Emma couldn’t take it anymore as the waves of her orgasm finally crashed over. Her cunt contracted and relaxed around the dildo as her thighs shook uncontrollably. Her juices squirted out, dripping down to her sheets.
When she finally came down from her high, Emma turned over onto her back, breathing heavily. She was a wreck.
She knew that when it came to Park Jihoon, she was utterly fucked.
Despite falling asleep soon after her masturbation session, Emma was still distracted during filming. She still did her best, ensuring to separate her current emotional turmoil from her acting as Jin Eunseo.
Emma would like to say that Jihoon had no effect on her after last night, but she would be wrong. Even before she officially met him, she already knew he was one of the most attractive celebrities in Korea. She was not ashamed to admit that she did watch his abs reveal video on repeat, back when it first came out.
However, Jihoon wasn’t just anyone to her. He was just Jihoon. That was it.
“Just Jihoon? Yeah, right.” Her subconscious argued. “You came, cunt wet and squirting, to the thought of him railing you, and he’s just Jihoon?”
“He’s one of the most attractive men in Korea,” Emma argued back. “I’m sure I’m not the only woman who has fantasised about him.”
“You’re friends with Soobin! You’ve worked with both Suga and Jin, yet you’ve never even thought about them like that!”
“That’s different!”
“Why? Because only Park Jihoon is in love with you, or maybe he was never a friend from the start?”
Emma shut up, not willing to argue anymore with herself, which sounded sillier now that she thought it out loud.
Her mind was too vehemently stubborn, even with what her heart already long knew.
Hours passed by, though it felt like minutes for Emma, and soon enough, she and Jihoon were in his waiting room, rehearsing for next week’s schedule. Most of the staff and crew had left, while Jihoon’s manager had left an hour ago, since Emma offered to drive Jihoon back, as it would be easier.
She would like to say she had no ulterior motives for her reasoning. She was just being a good friend.
She was not at all distracted by the veins in Jihoon’s forearms, or the way his Adam’s apple throbbed when he drank his water.
She was not looking forward to rehearsing their kiss scene, because she had felt those lips hundreds of times before, so why would it be different this time?
It was just supposed to be a soft and simple kiss between Sieun and Eunseo. More of a peck, really. So why did she look up into his eyes after they separated? Why did she want more? Why wasn’t she satisfied?
“Yiseo?” Jihoon asked when Emma didn’t recite her next line.
As if she were in a trance, Emma pulled herself up and kissed Jihoon again, taking him by surprise. This time, it was passionate and rough, much, much hotter than any kiss they ever shared, and she moaned when Jihoon kissed her back, his tongue invading her mouth.
They pushed and pulled at each other, and Emma could feel the familiar slick coating the walls of her wanton pussy. She could feel the outline of Jihoon’s erection through his jeans when she pushed him down to sit on the sofa. Her miniskirt bunched up her hips and around her waist, showcasing her lacy, pale yellow thong.
“Fuck,” Jihoon groaned when he saw the darker, damp spot on her underwear. “You’re already wet?”
“Shut up,” Emma panted. She sat down on his thighs, moaning at the friction between her wet thong and the denim fabric of his jeans, rubbing at her clit. She felt Jihoon’s hands grab her hips, guiding her to bounce back and forth on his clothed erection. Oh, he felt much bigger than five inches. “Oppa, fuck me.”
“No,” He panted, groaning as the love of his life, the woman who haunted his dreams, rode his thigh. “Not here.”
“Oppa, please!” She pleaded, tears prickling her eyes as she desperately tried to convince him. “You love me. Please! I’m begging you!”
Emma gasped; she didn’t know whether it was either in pleasure or pain or both when she felt a sharp, stinging slap on her right ass cheek.
“Ssibal, when I say I’m not fucking you, I mean it,” Jihoon spanked her ass once more before kneading it. Damn, it really was as juicy and plump as he imagined it to be. “The first time I fuck you will be in a bed, at night with no one around, so that you can scream as loud as you want. You’re a good girl, right?”
Emma nodded furiously, her face against his shoulder as Jihoon guided her to bounce up and down his lap. “I am. I’m your good girl! Ah!”
“And a good girl like you always cums when you’re riding my thigh?”
“Yes, yes, yes, YES! Ah!” Emma threw her head back when Jihoon bounced his thigh up just right, making her cum all over him. She panted loudly when she came down from her high. She had never cum that fast before.
She could feel Jihoon breathe in and out heavily as he leaned his forehead down on her shoulder. Emma was sure his heart was beating as fast as hers.
“Shit, I haven’t cummed in my pants since I was a teenager,” He swore before pulling away. He brushed her sweaty bangs back before kissing her forehead, his soft acts of affection starkly different to his rough demeanour earlier. “W-was I too much?”
Emma laughed before kissing Jihoon softly. “No. Um, I really liked it.”
“Good,” He was worried as a few of his exes had dumped him because of how different he was in bed. Apparently, they thought he would be all vanilla and cute. “You know, we can keep doing this, but I need a definite answer.”
“I know,” She sighed as her eyes softened. “I know that I’m definitely attracted to you. Probably since I met you, but I don’t know- you’re the most important person to me, but I don’t know if it’s because you’re useful to me or if I love you. I’m not even sure if I can love someone.”
It may not have been the answer his heart wanted to hear, but Jihoon knew that Emma needed to figure some stuff out before she could fully give her heart to him. “It’s okay. I’ll still be here when you have an answer.”
Hearing his kind words made her tear up. Emma held a hand to his cheek. “I don’t deserve you.”
“That’s the thing,” Jihoon took her hand and kissed it. “I have always been yours. You just didn’t realise it.”
“Everyone, well done!” The director and the crew clapped along with the actors. They had just finished filming the hospital scene. He turned his attention to Emma. “Especially you, Emma-sshi. Your emotions earlier, I think this has been some of your best work!”
She blushed when they cheered her on. Usually, she detached herself from Eunseo’s character as soon as the slate hit, but this time, she couldn’t get herself out of it. Even though she knew it wasn’t really Jihoon in that cot, her heart couldn’t differentiate between him and Sieun.
She had felt that dread once. Years ago, when her mother was diagnosed with leukaemia.
Emma Yoon realised the one person she couldn’t bear to lose will always be Park Jihoon.
“Unnie,” Emma felt a tug on her sleeve, realising it was just Eunsoo. “The guys and I are going out for beers. You wanna come?”
“You go ahead,” The older woman smiled at her friend. “I need to talk with Jihoon-oppa about something.”
“So you finally realised it?” Eunsoo didn’t need Emma to tell her. She already knew. “Good luck, unnie.”
She gave her a pat on the shoulder before scurrying off to Minyoung, Ryeoun and Minjae.
Emma didn’t bother to stop by her waiting room to change out of the set clothes. Her heart was nearly bursting. She had to tell him before she ended up self-combusting.
Soon, she was standing in front of Jihoon’s door. She hesitated for a second before knocking.
“Who is it?”
“It’s me,” She answered. Her usual self-confident tone was gone. Her voice was a little shaky. She had never been this nervous in her life, not even for her many auditions. “Oppa, can I come in?”
The door opened, revealing Jihoon. He still had some of the fake cuts on his skin. Evidently, he hadn’t washed off the stage makeup, but he still took Emma’s breath away.
He let her in before shutting the door behind him. “Is there something you want to say?”
Shit, Emma only thought about confessing her love, not the actual words she wanted to say. She should have written it down first.
She nervously tucked her hair behind her ears. “When my mother passed away, I really hated becoming familiar with the new world without her. Today, I experienced that same feeling again with you.”
“Even though my mind knows it’s not actually you, my heart still thinks it’s you,” Emma bit her lip before finally meeting his eyes. She was sure her eyes were as bright and tear-brimmed as his. “That’s when I realised. I don’t want to be familiar with a world without you. I can’t be familiar.”
“I love you,” She finally confessed. “I really, really love you. I think I have always loved you. It’s not too late, right?”
Jihoon didn’t say anything.
He took a couple of steps forward before wrapping his arms around her and hugging her to his chest. She could feel his sobs through his chest, and she teared up as well, overwhelmed by the love they shared but also welcoming it.
“It’s never too late,” Jihoon breathed in her scent. Finally, the girl of his dreams was in his arms. “I love you too.”
“I’m sorry I was so mean to you,” Emma sobbed. “I was being selfish.”
“It’s okay,” He comforted her. “You were just protecting yourself. We have all the time in the world.”
Emma wasn’t sure if soulmates existed. If they did, she was certain she had found hers in Jihoon.
The next weekend, Emma and Jihoon went on their first date when their schedules finally cleared up. He took her to a fancy restaurant, and they went for a walk in a private botanical garden, where he bought her a book she was eyeing, even though she insisted she could pay for it.
Emma also found out she liked the sight of Jihoon driving. She wasn’t sure how the act was arousing, but it was.
When they finally reached his apartment, Emma searched around for his dog that she often heard about, but never had the chance of meeting.
“Where’s Max?” She asked while reaching into her overnight bag. She pulled out a pack of treats. “I bought him snacks.”
“He’s staying with my parents for now,” Jihoon pulled her coat off for her before hanging it on the coat hanger. “You know, since we’ll be..”
“We’ll be…” Emma hummed, teasing him. She held on to the lapels of his collared shirt. “Jihoon-sshi, what will we be doing?”
“You’re a minx, Yiseo-sshi,” He bantered with her before pulling her in and eagerly joining their lips together. He groaned when she traced the inside of his mouth with her tongue before pulling away.
“I’m going to freshen up first,” She grinned before pulling away from his hold.
“Don’t take too long,” He called out to her, which only led the woman to swing her hips seductively as she walked down the hallway.
Once she was in the sanctuary of Jihoon’s guest bathroom, Emma pulled out her toiletry kit. She brushed her teeth, ensuring her breath was minty-fresh. Finally, she pulled out her secret weapon for the night.
A lacy, see-through, pink nightgown that matched the thong she was wearing. It reached down to the top of her thighs, and the lacy parts only really covered her breasts, and bared the rest of her body.
Emma Yoon was finally going to lose her virginity tonight.
She eagerly stripped her clothes off, not caring to fold them neatly. She snapped her bra off and slipped the delicate nightgown on, liking how it hugged her perky tits. The dress barely covered her ass cheeks, though Emma pondered that this dress was designed to be taken off.
Emma sprayed her perfume all over her body. She took one last look in the mirror. She brought her hands up underneath her boobs, watching them bounce.
“Okay, Yoon Yiseo. You’re getting in there, and you’re not going to leave this place until you’re well and truly-fucked.”
With her mental pep-talk done, Emma exited the bathroom to the living room, where Jihoon was sitting on the sofa, scrolling on his phone.
“Jihoon-oppa.”
He looked up from his phone, and his jaw dropped at the sight of Emma Yoon in her skimpy dress.
“Holy fuck,” He immediately stood up and walked over to her. His hand reached over to touch her, but he didn’t even know where to begin. Her bouncy breasts? Her round ass? Maybe her pussy that he was sure was wet and begging to be touched? “You-you look- I don’t even know what to say.”
“Then, don’t say anything,” Emma grabbed his hands and led them to grope her ass. “Show me.”
Jihoon got her signal. With his strength, he lifted her by her ass. Emma wrapped her legs around his waist, gasping when she felt her clothed core brush against his bulging erection that was straining in his trousers.
They joined their lips together, sharing passionate kisses as Jihoon stumbled his way to his bedroom.
The young man placed her on the bed. Emma looked up at him with dark, lust-filled eyes as Jihoon slowly stripped off his button-down shirt and dark grey trousers. Her mouth watered at the ridges of his firm six-pack. Was it crazy that she wanted to ride them? His Calvin Klein briefs were tight as his sizable erection strained against the dark grey fabric. Before he could pull them off, the British-Korean girl stopped him.
“Let me,” She knelt on her knees, eye-level with his crotch. She hooked her fingers into the elastic waistband, looking up at Jihoon, before pulling his underwear off. Damn, he was big.
Emma had seen countless dicks in porn, but this was the first time she had ever seen one in real life. He was thick and most likely a couple of inches bigger than her dildo. The tip was leaking clear fluid, and for her, Jihoon’s dick was as pretty as the rest of him.
“You’re really big, Oppa.” She wrapped her hand around the base, barely being able to wrap her fingers around his impressive girth, before rubbing him up and down. Jihoon swore loudly at the feeling of her soft hand around his hard cock. It was taking him every bit of self-control to hold himself back from fucking her into that mattress.
“Do you like that?” She asked as she pumped him. “Am I doing well?”
He groaned out loud in answer, “You’re doing extremely well. This is-oh!”
“I think I can do better. You’re too dry,” Emma confessed before suddenly swirling the tip of his cock with her tongue and taking it into her mouth.
“YISEO! Shit! Fucking hell!” Jihoon moaned loudly as she took more of him in her mouth, coating him with her saliva. Every wet dream he had about her couldn’t compare to the real thing.
Emma closed her eyes, trying to envision how those adult actresses gave their blowjobs. She remembered Chaewon’s advice. Relax your jaw. Use your spit as lube so it’s easier to slide him down. When it’s too much, switch to your hand.
She felt Jihoon pull her back by her hair when she nearly had every inch inside her mouth.
“S-sorry,” He stammered. “I was worried you were going to choke-”
“It’s okay,” She went back in, swirling her tongue around his girth, before looking up at him. “I’ve been practising with my dildo.”
That was the hottest thing Park Jihoon had ever heard in his life, and he didn’t think it was possible for his cock to get harder. It had been over two years since he last had sex. Between his packed schedule and very limited love life, he just didn’t get the chance, especially after he fell head over heels for Yoon Yiseo.
He kept his hand over the back of her head as Emma pushed her mouth up and down his dick. He threw his head back when he hit the back of her throat.
“Ssibal, Emma. You’re so perfect and divine. Shit, I’m going to cum,” Jihoon tried to pull her off, but she was stubborn. “F-fuck, I’m serious.”
Emma just nodded before taking him even deeper inside her mouth. Tonight, she intended to take every drop of cum inside her. It didn’t matter which end she took them in.
“SSIBAL! I-I’M CUMMING!” He shouted one final warning before he erupted inside her mouth. His semen hit the back of her throat, and Emma hurriedly gulped it down as his dick spurted out a couple more loads. She felt some of it leak out onto her lips. After he was done, she finally pulled her mouth off him, licking the cum off her lips.
“Am I a good girl?” She asked Jihoon, referencing the nickname he had given her when she got off on riding his thigh. She looked up at him innocently with her round eyes. “Are you going to reward me?”
“You are the best girl.” He pushed her down on the bed before getting on top of her, sliding his cock between her legs. Her thong was utterly soaked now, juices gushing out of her needy cunt. Emma let out a high-pitched moan as his cock rubbed against her clothed nether lips. He swallowed her moans with his lips before he trailed down to the valley between her perky tits.
Jihoon pulled his mouth away from her body, and drank in the sight of Emma, all wanton, slutty and needy for him. She looked just like a dream. She could ruin him with just one look, and he would welcome it.
He ran his hand down her delicate curves before fingering the hem of her nightgown.
“I will buy you every colour of this dress,” He promised, just as long as she only wears them for him.
“It’s expensive,” She teased him. “It’s from La Perla.”
“I don’t care how much it costs. Just send me the bill,” He spanked her ass lightly, telling her to shimmy up a little so he could pull the dress off her, leaving her in her tiny thong and nothing else.
Emma’s breasts were to die for. Even when they first met, Jihoon couldn’t help but notice her ample bosom. He was still a man after all, despite what his fans believed. He didn’t really get distracted by them during filming since her on-set clothes tended to be on the more modest side, but her stage outfits. Her stylists knew what they were doing when they put Emma in those corsets and bustier tops.
Jihoon crawled on top of her and started sucking on a pink-capped, firm nipple as his hand kneaded her other breast. There was still so much flesh it hadn’t covered. He wondered if Emma would mind if he fucked her tits sometime in the future.
Emma knocked her head back as her moans increased in volume. His tongue was circling her nipple, even nipping at it before sucking to soothe it. Ever since her debut, she had always been self-conscious about her breasts, as her tops were always a size or two larger than her members’, despite being the shortest in the group.
Yunjin always said there would be a day when Emma would be glad she had big boobs, and today was that day.
“Oppa, that feels so good!” She squealed when he switched. Her right nipple felt raw when exposed to the cold air after being wrapped in the warmth of his mouth and tongue.
“This? I’m just getting started,” Jihoon reluctantly pulled his mouth away from her tits, both nipples red and raw from his actions, and he licked his finger. He then stripped her of her wet underwear, groaning when a line of her slick clung to the soaked thong. “Oh, you are just dripping. Who are you so wet for? Hmm?”
Emma was sure she was red all over. “You. Only you.”
“And what do you want me to do about it?” Jihoon started tracing her nether lips, a feather-light touch that sent shivers down her spine.
“You… you already know what I want.”
“No,” He shook his head. “Use your words. What do you want?”
Emma hid her eyes with her hand, hoping it would calm her hot cheeks. The sight of her lover was too much.
“P-please, finger me.”
Jihoon smiled, “See? I always knew you were a good girl.”
He slowly inserted his index and middle fingers inside her warm and wet pussy. He kept his thumb on her clit as he drew his finger in and out, making the knot in Emma’s belly grow tighter. She was more than familiar with the art of fingering, but Jihoon’s fingers were so much thicker and longer than hers. They filled her up so much better.
Emma was ready to reach her peak when Jihoon suddenly pulled his fingers out, delaying her orgasm.
“O-Oppa! I-I was going cum- why would you?” She stopped whining when he licked her juices off his fingers.
“You taste just like candy,” His eyes darkened as he neared his face near her cunt. “I want to taste you directly.”
“W-wait!” She said, stopping him. “I-I was going to cum-”
“Yeah? That’s why I was going to eat you out?”
“I know that!” She hesitated for a second. “It’s that, when I cum, it, um, it tends to be very wet.”
Emma wasn’t ashamed of the fact that she was a squirter, but she knew some guys tended to get grossed out by it.
However, Jihoon looked like he hit the jackpot.
“Are you kidding me? Now, I want to eat you out even more.” He said before latching his mouth on her hot pussy. He ate her out the same way he kissed her. His tongue just fully invaded her cunt as her hands became entangled in his hair.
Emma shut her eyes tight. His tongue was repeatedly hitting a spot inside her, sending shocks throughout her body, and, oh fuck, his thumb was once again on her clit, prodding and pressing her. Oh, she had never felt anything like this. No vibrator can copy what Park Jihoon was doing to her now.
“I’M CUMMING!” She screamed, loud and high-pitched, as her pussy started spasming, squirting out her juices all over. Her thighs were shaking uncontrollably as Jihoon drank her in. She wouldn’t be surprised if his neighbours overheard her.
She panted as she came down from her high. She didn’t even notice Jihoon crawling back on top of her before pulling her into a kiss, intertwining their tongues together. She could taste her essence in his mouth, and if it was possible, it felt like she fell in love with him all over again.
After they separated, he asked her, “Do you want to take a break?”
Emma shook her head furiously. If she had it her way, she would never want to stop.
“No,” She held her hand to his cheek, looking him in the eyes. “Fuck me. Please. Make me yours.”
Jihoon grinned. After countless nights of fantasies and dreams, he was finally going to make love to Yiseo, his last love and the girl who would always have his heart.
He reached over to grab a condom from his bedside table, but Emma stopped him.
“Just do it.”
“It’s risky, especially for you-”
“I’ve been on birth control for the past year,” She explained. “And I bought the morning-after pill. Please, Oppa. For my first time, I want all of you.”
He should have said no, but the pleading look in her eyes was too much. He couldn’t help but fulfil her wish.
Jihoon lined the head of his cock with her cunt, barely pressing into her. Her juices were readily leaking, lubricating the tip.
“If it hurts, tell me instantly. Don’t just hold it in.”
She nodded. “I will. Jihoon, make love to me.”
With that, he pushed his cock inside her, starting with a couple of inches first, as Emma groaned at how much her inexperienced pussy was stretching to fit his girth.
“Are you still okay?”
She nodded, biting her lip. “Y-yeah. It just feels different, but it feels good. Keep going. Put it all inside me.”
With her permission, he proceeded to push his whole cock inside her. Emma gripped his sheets with every inch she took until Jihoon was finally balls-deep inside her, all seven inches wrapped by her warmth.
“You-you’re really all in there. Ah!” Emma moaned. She had broken her hymen years ago with a dildo, so there was no pain associated now, but this was a hundred times different. Jihoon was bigger, thicker, and warmer. It felt like their hearts were in sync.
For Jihoon, Emma was impossibly tight and wet. He felt like he was losing his virginity all over again, and this already felt better than that awkward one-night stand. Maybe it was because of his love for her, or maybe they were physically compatible to the nth degree. What he now knows is that he is never letting her go.
“Yiseo-yah,” He gasped, trying to stop himself from ejaculating too soon. “You’re not in pain? Can I move?”
“Yes. Jihoon-oppa, please move. I can’t hold on any longer,” Emma cried pitifully as she held onto his back muscles. When he started thrusting in and out of her, every movement sent electricity through her nerves. Her poor, poor pussy kept missing his cock every time he pulled out, and it hugged him every time he pushed in. “Fuck! You feel so big, and so fucking good!”
The headboard of his bed was hitting the wall as he increased his pace. Her juices were fully lubricating his dick, making every movement effortless. When she screamed at him to fuck her deeper, he pulled her ankles over his shoulders, making his cock go even deeper inside her.
“Yiseo, fuck, this pussy is everything!” He lightly slapped her clit, causing her to yelp. “I love you! I love you so much!”
“Me too! I love you!” She confessed. “Oppa, I’m sorry, but I can’t hold it anymore! I want to cum!”
“Then, cum.” He ordered her. “Squirt on my fucking dick! Squirt so fucking much!”
The large cock pounding her along with Jihoon’s dominant words was too much. Unable to hold it anymore, Emma squirted around his cock, juices spraying his sheets as the throes of her second orgasm washed her over. Seconds later, Jihoon pulled her up, clutching her chest to his, as his warm cum flooded her cunt, painting her insides white.
Moments after the tension finally snapped, he slowly pulled Emma off, her gaping cunt releasing his flaccid cock with a popping sound. Their combined releases slowly started leaking out of her, dripping onto the sheets.
“Shit,” Jihoon quietly swore. He reached to grab a few wet wipes to clean up the mess. “Yiseo-yah, do you want to take a bath?”
“Later,” Her knees were still trembling. Emma was sure she wouldn’t even make it to the bathroom without collapsing. “I’m too fucked out and cock-drunk.”
“Your mouth… Seriously.”
“My mouth?” Emma defended herself in disbelief. “What about yours? Squirt so fucking much?”
“I-I was just caught up in the moment.” That, and this was the first time Jihoon ever had someone cum so much on him.
“I was just taken aback.” His gentle mannerisms definitely didn’t carry into the bedroom. “You were a completely different person.”
“You don’t mind, right?”
“Of course not.” Despite what fans believed, idols didn’t bare every side of themselves to the world, so she understood him. “Why would I mind?”
“Nothing. It’s just- I got dumped a few times because of how different I am in bed.”
“What? Did your exes expect you to maeum seoge jeojang them in bed, too?”
Jihoon guffawed at her blunt question, being reminded of why he fell for her all those years ago.

✧ Even before she knew of his feelings for her, Emma had already saved Jihoon as 0 in speed dial. At the time, she didn’t really understand how he became so important so quickly, and just assumed it was because she saw him as a best friend.
✧ After a month of rejections and bickering, along with the hate train towards LE SSERAFIM, Emma finally realised she loved Jihoon back after he stayed over at her house and helped her through a nightmare. Even when she told him every detail of her past, he still loved her and remained the same kind and supporting man he always had been.
✧ They started dating during the filming of Weak Hero Class 2. They were so busy that they only had their first date two weeks after Emma confessed her love for Jihoon.
✧ Hyunwook figured it out after he came to film the finale scene.
✧ Emma doesn’t really let anyone call her by her birth name. For her, Yiseo was the bastard child, while Emma was the cool and confident idol. Only her real friends call her Yiseo.
✧ A large part of why she never dated anyone until Jihoon was because she had a hard time trusting people due to her extreme fear of being hurt and taken advantage of.
✧ Emma is a pro at separating her emotions. Her acting and real life usually never bleed into each other. During extremely emotional scenes, she sheds all of her character’s feelings the moment the director says cut. However, when she was filming the hospital scene during WHC2, for the first time in her career, she couldn’t break out of Eunseo’s devastation after she saw Sieun in the hospital bed. This was when she started realising that she actually loved Jihoon back.
✧ Jihoon always drives, and Emma’s always the passenger princess. This is mostly due to the fact that she finds him attractive whenever he’s driving.
nsfw
✧ Jihoon was struggling with keeping his feelings to himself, especially during filming the kiss scenes and eventually the bed scenes for Weak Hero. Emma was as cool as a cucumber during WHC1, but as their relationship progressed during the second season, she was having a hard time keeping her hands to herself since this was the first time she ever experienced romantic love. Eventually, it culminated in Emma jumping Jihoon after he finished filming a fight scene.
✧ Emma was technically a virgin when they started dating, but she is quite knowledgeable. She’s the type of girl who reads smut in public spaces without blinking an eye yet giggles uncontrollably when reading tooth-aching fluff. She has a couple of sex toys, and she broke her hymen with a dildo, a couple of years before she and Jihoon started dating.
✧ Emma started having erotic dreams after she and Jihoon started filming the first bed scenes for Weak Hero, but being her, she assumed it was because it was the first time she ever experienced anything sexual like that.
✧ Emma has a collection of the prettiest and most feminine lingerie ever. She has matching sets in all sorts of colours. Jihoon’s favourite set is a sheer baby pink lace chemise with matching bra, panties, and garter belt, mainly because it was the one Emma wore when she seduced him after their first date.
✧ Jihoon has a compulsive need for making Emma cum more than once every time they have sex. Sometimes, he would prolong foreplay just so he could hear her beg for him to fuck her.
✧ Who’s dirtier between them? It’s hard to say. Emma’s basically a horny teen on the inside, eager to act out all of the acts and kinks she read about, while Jihoon had been suppressing himself for years.
✧ Jihoon knew he was falling for Emma hard when he couldn’t jerk himself off to anything else but fantasies of her.
✧ Emma has written a long list of songs for Jihoon. Most of them are dirty, but the dirtiest one she ever wrote was 34+35. She’s fighting with the company to release it. Her main argument is that Jungkook got to release Seven and 3D, so why couldn’t she release 34+35?
✧ Emma is totally a sub. Most of the time, she’s hyper-independent, but when it comes to sex, she just wants to let go and be taken care of.
✧ Multiple rounds. Because they both have busy schedules, they tend to only get to date once every couple of weeks, which always ends in sex at either one of their apartments.
✧ They usually use condoms, and Emma regularly takes her birth control pills without missing them, so sometimes, she asks Jihoon to finish inside her. If it is too risky, she asks him to pull out and cum anywhere he likes.
✧ Emma’s a screamer. She’s extremely vocal about what she likes. She also has a praise kink and tends to cum faster whenever Jihoon tells her how perfect and beautiful she is.

summary: You and Yuuta raising your daughter throughout the years
words: 5.07k
author’s notes: Seriously, Gege should have made Yuuta a girl dad. Many of the scenes are highly inspired by the K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines. I highly recommend listening to ZVC's verse during the song ‘her’ while reading this fic.
two weeks
“She’s so small,” Yuuta muttered to you. You were looking down at your newborn daughter, who was sleeping soundly in her cot. The maids tried to urge you to let them bathe her instead, saying you should be resting, but you couldn’t stand being away from Toru for even a few minutes.
You giggled, admiring her scrunched-up face. “She’s a bit wrinkly, isn’t she?”
Despite your daughter’s small stature, her appetite was no joke, although Yuuta was sure all babies were like that. It must be boring, having nothing else to do other than sleeping and eating.
Unbeknownst to Toru, her parents made sure she was protected from curses to the highest degree. It wasn’t particularly hard since Yuuta was in line to be the leader of the Gojo clan. When you came back home from giving birth, he arranged for a few guards to patrol the wing where you resided. Of course, since he was unofficially the strongest sorcerer, no one dared to attack his wife and child.
You also put in your efforts, using your cursed energy to enchant talismans to ward off cursed spirits. You stuck them everywhere, to the point that Panda thought the appearance of the bottom of your baby’s cot being plastered with every talisman known to mankind was very macabre, especially when compared to the pastel pink walls and decorations of the nursery.
Toru suddenly sneezed, causing you to laugh. “Even her sneezes are too cute.”
Your husband gazed at her softly, gently brushing her sparse hair before letting his finger rest in her palm. As if by instinct, Toru grasped it with her pudgy hand, five little fingers wrapped around his.
“Sometimes, I think I made a mistake in naming her after Gojo-sensei,” he quietly confessed. “I want Toru to live happily for the longest time.”
“And she will. After all, she has you as her father,” you smiled, holding your hand to his cheek. The scar across his forehead had healed over, a constant reminder of what it took to defeat Sukuna. “I promise.”
You then sealed it in the form of a gentle kiss that was somehow still as time-stopping as your first kiss all those years ago when you and Yuuta were still teenage sorcerers, just trying to survive.
five months
“Her dinner should be on the counter, and the instructions for her milk is right next to the steriliser,” your husband told the trio. “Her bedtime is in an hour and a half. Toru-chan instantly falls asleep after a lullaby, but don’t sing one of those cursed clan ones. She hates those.”
He turned to you, briefly admiring how beautiful you looked in the black dress he bought for you. No one would have guessed that you had given birth just five months ago. “I think that’s all.”
You laughed softly. “Babe, you forgot one other thing.”
Yuuta tilted his head, a bit confused. “Which one?”
“The baby.”
Sure enough, your husband was still cradling your daughter in his arms. Her curious dark blue eyes were fixed on Yuuta’s tie. Nine months in your womb, and somehow, Toru came out looking like a female version of Yuuta, from her inky black hair to her round blue eyes. Due to her lack of hair, she had hair, it just grew very slowly, people often mistook her for a boy, which led your husband to buy all sorts of ribbons, hats and hairbands. Right now, he had dressed her in a white onesie with a matching wool cap with bunny ears.
“Shake. Takana.”
“She’s a princess!” Yuuta refuted. You weren’t sure how he figured that out from just two words. He held Toru out for Toge to see. “Look at how cute she is. How could you ever think she’s a boy?”
“It’s an honest mistake, bean sprout.” Maki teased him, taking Toru out of his hands. She scanned the baby as if wondering what size polearm suited her. “How much can this little tyke do anyways? Can she sprint yet?”
“She’s only five months old!” Yuuta was getting more anxious about leaving Toru behind with them. Sure, he trusted them with his life, but when it came to childcare, he rightfully had his doubts. “The most she can do is sit up and roll over.”
“Like the dogs in obedience school?” Panda, who was perched on Maki’s shoulder, unhelpfully chimed in. “I watched a video about it the other day, so you can definitely trust us Yuuta.”
The cursed corpse’s dog comment made your husband lose all faith in them. “Maybe Fushiguro-kun isn’t busy.”
three years
“What’s with your husband?” Maki asked you when Yuuta was checking his phone over and over again during their meeting earlier.
“It’s Toru-chan’s first day at preschool today.”
“She’s old enough already? I could have sworn she was still learning how to walk.”
“Time just flies by when you’re raising kids,” you said, remembering how Yuuta cried when Toru called him Daddy for the first time. Now, she is going to preschool and making friends. You called out to your husband, “Toru’s otou-chan, the school would have called us if anything went wrong.”
“No, it’s just that- earlier, all the other little girls clung to their dads, but Toru-chan,” he suddenly squatted down, hugging his knees. His broad shoulders made him look like a white ball. “She just walked inside the classroom. She didn’t even look back. Like a boss.”
Toge offered his condolences, clapping Yuuta’s shoulder. “Takana.”
“She’s probably just excited to make new friends,” you comforted him. “I was the same way. I remember bringing one of my stuffed dolls as a friend on my first day.”
“Speaking of dolls,” Maki looked around. “Have any of you seen Panda anywhere?”
“Panda-kun? He was at our house this morning,” you answered.
Yuuta nodded along before saying, “he was playing with Toru-chan before…”
The four of you froze, realising where the cursed corpse could be right now.
“You don’t think…”
You and your husband rushed to your car. Yuuta basically stepped on the gas pedal to reach Toru’s preschool faster, where you stumbled into Panda’s election as the mascot of the Sunshine class.
six years
Luckily, little Toru’s hair started growing out, and at six years old, she had long, silky black locks that were currently tied up into pigtails by you. She was buzzing with energy as she impatiently waited for Yuuta to finish tying her laces. Her elementary school was having a sports day today, and Toru was specially chosen to represent her class in the 100 metre race.
“Daddy, hurry up!”
“I’m almost done.” Yuuta made sure her laces were double-knotted. He didn’t want a repeat of Toru falling flat on her face again, just because she was too shy to ask a teacher to tie her laces back. “Toru-chan, are you ready?”
Your daughter grinned as bright as the sun. “I think I can get first place!”
“First?” He had no doubt she was capable of beating the rest, but she was also too impatient. “You don’t have to get first. Whatever you get, you can always run back to me.”
Yuuta checked her over, brushing the dust off her gym uniform. Her bangs were tucked under her pink sweatband.
“Okay, let’s practice first. When the teacher says go, that’s when you run.” Yuuta pointed out the red track fields to Toru, where her teacher waved to them. “On my mark. Three, two, one-”
“GO!” Toru excitedly screeched, about to run off when her father stopped her.
“No! Not like that!” He knew she would do that. “You run when you hear go. Let’s try it again. Three, two, one-”
“GO!”
Yuuta’s advice practically bounced off Toru’s ears as she eagerly sprinted to her friends, eager to join in. He, exasperated, watched as his little princess started chatting with them.
“Oh, what am I going to do with that little thing?”
sixteen years
“Dad, you’re impossible!”
“Toru-chan!”
You barely even got to look at her before Toru, now a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, sprinted to her room and slammed the shoji door shut. Your husband looked like he wanted to run after her, but he decided not to, taking a seat across from you where you were sorting through some documents.
“What happened?” you asked him while pouring green tea into a mug before offering it to him.
Yuuta gratefully took the mug, thanking you. “I may… have interfered with her mission again.”
“Yuuta-”
“I know.” He groaned. “It’s just-”
“I understand.” It was hard seeing your daughter as a sorceress, even though it was certainly safer than it used to be when you and your husband were her age. “Even so, no one’s going to take her seriously if you keep coming to her rescue. She’s not a Semi-Grade 1 for nothing.”
Yuuta kept quiet. It was easier back when Toru was starting out last year, since first years weren’t permitted to do solo missions, a rule you established just after your daughter was born.
“I’ll talk to her,” you said, standing up from the table, “but you have to promise you’re not going to mess with her assignments again.”
Yuuta looked up, smiling at you. “I promise. I don’t like it when our princess is mad at me.”
“She also doesn’t like being mad at you,” you told him before leaving the room. You made your way to Toru’s room and knocked on the door.
“Toru, it’s Mom.”
“Go away!” yelled Toru, her voice muffled.
“Baby, I just want to talk.”
The room was silent for a moment before you heard the sound of shuffling feet. Your daughter slid the shoji door open, letting you inside before sliding it shut. The pastel pink walls were gone in favour of the light cream paint Toru had chosen last year. Posters of popular idol groups plastered the walls, though her stuffed animals were still lined up on her bed.
Toru flopped down on her bed, inviting you to sit down next to her. “Mom, can’t you tell Dad to back off? People think I’m a joke.”
“Honey, they don’t think that-”
“Yes, they do!” She interrupted you. “I’m the only one with a babysitter, while Uncle Megumi’s son gets to do solo missions and he’s fourteen!”
You were sure that Hinata wasn’t allowed to do that, but then again, Megumi was primarily raised by Gojo so it would make sense that the latter’s unorthodox teaching methods were subconsciously passed on to him.
“Dad just doesn’t believe in me,” said Toru while hugging a pink rabbit doll to her chest.
“Don’t say that,” you patted her head, making her look up to you. “It’s just that, you’re his little girl.”
Toru whispered, “I’m not so little anymore.”
“His mind knows that,” you held a hand over the left side of your side, “but his heart doesn’t know it. Even the idea of you being in danger hurts him so much that it causes him to act irrationally, so please understand that this isn’t easy for him.”
Toru’s dark blue eyes, which reminded you so much of your husband’s, softened. “Fine, but only if he stops hovering so much!”
You made your husband compromise by having him wait outside the high school with you, where Toru had her assignment. Your vivacious daughter made Yuuta promise that he would only come in if she sent a distress signal.
Twenty minutes passed by, and Toru came out with curse blood trickling down her face, and all of the hostages were rescued.
She had a wide smile while holding up a peace sign. “I exorcised the cursed spirit!”
You celebrated her success by having a barbeque party with all of your old schoolmates. However, the biggest surprise came a few weeks later when you and your family came home to a teenage boy waiting in front of your house with a bouquet of flowers.
You recognised him as one of the hostages that Toru had rescued. He was a tall and handsome young man who blushed at the sight of her. You laughed lightly, realising why he was here, while Yuuta just squinted at him.
“H-Hajimemashite, my name is S-Sakura Takeda,” he stammered before pushing the bouquet towards Toru. “Thank you for rescuing my friends and I!”
Although she was shocked by his gesture, your daughter gratefully accepted the flowers, her cheeks as flushed as his, much to your husband’s dismay.
Takeda nervously bowed deeply again to you and Yuuta, especially when your husband stared him down with unblinking eyes, as if the boy was Getou Suguru reincarnated.
“O-once again, thank you for saving us!”
He was about to leave when suddenly-
“Sakura-san!” Toru called out. “My favourite flowers are cosmoses, so just get me those next time!”
Yuuta’s jaw dropped while you pushed him into the house, not wanting him to intrude on their moment.
“Anata, I need to be there!” Your husband tried to leave, but you blocked his path. “Why would that boy-”
“Obviously, he likes her!” Your answer only added to his misery. “Our daughter is more popular than you think. He’s hardly the first boy who likes her.”
“Wait, there’s more?”
“Yeah. Why do you think Hinata-kun’s always training?” Only Yuuta wouldn’t notice Megumi’s son’s feelings for his own daughter.
“I thought he was like Megumi!”
“The boy wants to be strong enough to protect Toru-chan.” Granted, you only knew about it because Megumi’s wife told you during tea time.
“W-wait a second!” Yuuta was panicking harder than when he had to go up against Sukuna. “I’m not ready for this! Toru-chan’s still a baby!”
“You got engaged when you were ten!”
“That was a completely different situation!”
twenty-two years
Toru hurriedly unlocked the door to her boyfriend’s apartment while balancing a birthday cake in one hand and keys in the other.
“Takeda, sorry I’m late! I got dispatched on an urgent assignment-” She fell silent when she saw his mother instead. She immediately bowed down to her, but the older woman ignored her, instead choosing to walk up to her son.
“It’s bad enough that you invited her, but did you really have to give her a key?” She confronted him.
Takeda, uncomfortable, replied, “Mother, I invited Toru since it’s my birthday. Can’t I celebrate with my girlfriend?”
His mother glared pointedly at Toru, not bothering to hide her displeasure. Although the couple have been dating for a few years now, his mother never approved of her, always hoping that Takeda would end up being with a normal girl.
“Don’t just stand there!” She snapped, shoving a rice paddle into the sorceress’s hands. “I know that you’re some sort of heiress, but in our family, women do the housework here.”
Toru went to work with the rice bowls, even when she felt small under her gaze.
A few minutes later, they were having dinner. Takeda sat with his mother on one side while Toru sat alone on the other side. The atmosphere was very awkward with no one saying much.
“Um, Mrs Sakura, Takeda-kun always raves about how good of a cook you are!” Toru spoke up. “Like the mackerel. It’s so delicious that I can eat three portions in one sitting!”
“Our family values portion control. We’re not wealthy like your family, and can just eat whatever we want all the time,” Mrs Sakura coldly replied. She put her chopsticks down on the table. “Okkotsu-san, do your parents know you frequent a bachelor’s apartment?”
“Mother, why do you have to phrase it like that?” Takeda tried to defend her. “I told you I’m not dating Toru just for the fun of it. We’re hoping to get married-”
“Stop it before I get angry.” She sharply interrupted. “You’re my pride and joy, and right now, my pride is damaged.”
Okkotsu Toru, who had exorcised countless spirits, saved multiple lives, had never felt so worthless in her life.
“Is your family really that religious? Is that why they are always so self-righteous?” Toru angrily ranted after they were done with dinner. Takeda was following her, holding an umbrella over her head as it rained. With tears in her eyes, she turned around to face him. “I come from a family of sorcerers. I can’t change that, but why does she always make me feel like I’m stupid for not being ashamed of it?”
“So what if I’m not good at housework? Are you any good at cooking and cleaning?”
Takeda admitted, “I’m bad at those things.”
Toru furiously tried to wipe her tears away.
“I hate feeling like this. I feel like a foolish jester just dancing around for a queen who’s never going to like her. Do you even have any idea what that feels like?” Her words became barbed-wired, even though they were for her first love. The first boy who ever gave her flowers. “You can either be a good son or a good husband. You have to choose. If you can’t even do that, don’t even think of asking me to marry you.”
“Toru, I can’t just- who would be able to pick one over the other?” Toru was the first and only girl Takeda ever loved, but how can he go against his mother? “It’s an impossible choice-”
“My dad did it,” She cut him off. “He chose my mom over the clan.”
When she was eighteen, Toru found out the real reason why she was an only child. You nearly died giving birth to her, and Yuuta promised never to have a second child. He never wanted to put you through that pain ever again.
The elders of the Gojo clan weren’t happy to hear that. They tried to urge him to try for a son, a viable heir. When that didn’t work, they tried to convince Yuuta to take a few concubines, and that was when he put his foot down. Either they stop with their nonsense, or he would leave them, dissolving the Gojo clan.
They should have known that Okkotsu Yuuta would always choose you.
“I’m only telling you this once,” Toru took a deep breath over her sobs. “I will not marry your mother’s son.”
twenty-four years
Toru checked her phone again while her parents sat beside her. They had been waiting for over an hour for the Sakura family to discuss her and Takeda’s upcoming wedding.
“His father had a late shift,” she tried to excuse her future father-in-law, although she knew that he had gone back home hours ago, “and the traffic in Tokyo is really bad at this time.”
“Your mom and I are busy too.” Your husband even had an assignment in Okinawa last night, and just went back home this morning. Yet, you managed to show up on time. “They should have told us if they were going to be late.”
Toru bit her lip. She muttered to herself, sending a text to her fiance. “Where is he?”
Fortunately, Takeda entered the private room soon after, with his parents in tow. He apologised to his future in-laws for the wait. You pretended not to notice his parents not bowing back to you and Yuuta.
When the food was laid out on the table, your heart ached at the sight of your daughter serving food for everyone else first, leaving only scraps for herself. You knew that she learned this from you, back when Yuuta wasn’t the clan head yet, and you often had to put your own head down.
While Takeda’s father boasted about his son’s achievements, even though he knew that Toru earned more than his son, you quietly gave your bowl of seafood broth to your daughter, and quietly took her bowl of scraps for yourself.
“Look at how your daughter served you,” Mrs Sakura criticised, not realising that you had switched the bowls. “Maybe it’s because she’s been raised in a wealthy clan, but that’s not how our family does it. How is she going to manage our household when she can’t even ladle soup?”
You held your tongue at the blatant disrespect of your daughter. When you were young, you would have exploded right then and there, but you matured since then, and knew that her future was at stake.
Yuuta fidgeted with his sleeve. “Well, regarding the household, as a working woman, it would be hard for Toru-”
“That’s why I asked her to stop being a sorcerer after the marriage.” Mrs Sakura innocently revealed, as if she had done nothing wrong. She turned to your daughter. “Didn’t you tell them?”
“Mother, I told you-”
“Was I asking you?” Mrs Sakura sighed. “My son is a lawyer. He earns more than enough to support her. Unlike some people, he didn’t have any connections.”
“Our daughter is a sorcerer because of her own merit.”
You wanted to say that. You hated seeing her like this.
“Ah, you haven’t served us the miso soup yet.” Mr Sakura thrusted an empty bowl towards Toru. “Give me some.”
Mrs Sakura added two more bowls. “You might as well get started.”
You have never seen Toru scramble for anything, much less for the opportunity to ladle soup.
“Usually, only daughters are good at this sort of thing, but Toru’s different.” Mrs Sakura’s sweet tone didn’t fool you. Why was she acting like this? “It looks like I have my work cut out for me. She needs to learn to be a proper woman before I can introduce her to the extended family.”
What exactly did she mean by a proper woman? Toru loved her son faithfully without any doubts. Why wasn’t she happy that her son was loved in such a way? You barely noticed Yuuta sending a look towards Takeda before you stood up.
“Let me.” You said to Toru, taking the ladle away from her.
“Okaa-san-”
“Just sit down.” You told her, taking over.
Mrs Sakura took the chance. “Your mother does everything for you so you don’t know anything. Isn’t that right, Toru?”
Your daughter meekly nodded, not daring to look up. She didn’t want to know how you and Yuuta looked.
“I couldn’t teach her,” you interrupted, bringing the attention of the whole table towards you. “She was too precious, and too dear.”
You looked Mrs Sakura straight in the eye for the first time. “So, I chose not to teach her.”
You finished ladling the miso soup into the first bowl. It was chock full of tofu and seaweed, and instead of handing it towards Mr Sakura, you served it to your daughter.
In the car, after you were finally done with the horrendous lunch, you finally let everything go.
“She always acts like the boss at home, so why couldn’t she say anything around them?” You fumed.
“Why did you do that?” Your husband asked you. “You couldn’t stand it?”
“Our Toru has parents,” you dabbed your napkin at your eyes. “She has a family!”
“So you wanted that woman to know that?”
You turned to Yuuta. “You sure held yourself back. I thought you were going to unleash Rika and demand that they call off the engagement!”
“I wanted to, countless times. I was holding back so much,” he sighed. Just like you, he couldn’t stand seeing his daughter acting so small. “But Toru-chan loves him. If I force her, it would just hurt her. It’s not because she’s any less than him.”
You sobbed. You didn’t want to know what Toru’s future would be like in that family. “I can endure anything for her, but seeing her like that… it just destroys me.”
The second time you met Mrs Sakura was after the dress fitting. You were sitting across from her in the cafe while Toru was waiting for Takeda outside. It had been a few weeks since the lunch, and you were worried that your outburst had caused Toru some backlash.
“I know that Toru isn’t very gentle or soft-spoken,” you started saying. There were some times you were convinced that she was like Gojo, even though she had never known him. “But when she loves someone, she loves deeply-”
“Mrs Okkotsu, may I say something to you?” She rudely cut you off. “You see, I always prefer being frank and honest. I admit that your daughter and my son do love each other, but honestly, I’m just not fond of her.”
“What?”
“I really tried, but I just don’t like her.” Mrs Sakura confessed. “If she wasn’t a shaman, maybe I would have accepted, but you see, our family has been blessed for generations. How could I let her in our family when she brings bad fortune? What kind of mother would I be if I let my son make the wrong choice?”
She grasped your hands, not caring that you were shaking and that your eyes were brimming with tears. It was as if she enjoyed unnerving you like this.
“You know that our children aren’t a right match for each other, so Mrs Okkotsu, let’s work together to call off the wedding.” She smiled to herself before sipping her tea. “I’ve been waiting a long time to say that. Now, it feels like a boulder has been lifted off my shoulders.”
“Do you know where you’re putting that boulder?” You finally said. You had decided. You weren’t going to let your princess get married into that family. “On your son’s heart.”
When you got back home, your daughter confronted you for your silent behaviour.
“Takeda-kun was about to lose his mind in there.”
“So let him.” You said.
“What?”
“Are you really that fond of him? It’s not like he passed the bar exam.”
“Then, what about me?” Toru asked. “Do you think I’m a fool for loving him? Mom, you think I’m less than him, don’t you?”
You vehemently refuted her claim. “No! I’d never think that!”
“Then why do you never say anything to his mother?” She yelled.
“So that she won’t be cold to you!” You yelled back. “I held myself back so that she won’t take it out on you! Why on earth would you be less than him? That’s just a load of crap!”
After a second of silence, Toru asked you, “Why? Did she say anything to you?”
You winced. You couldn’t tell her that woman was determined to scorn her forever. “How can I act on my temper when you’re joining their family?”
Toru sighed loudly before saying outloud, “Just go ahead and lose your temper!”
Your heart hurts worse than ever. You did everything you could to protect her from curses, but you forgot that heartbreak was inevitable. “Toru, please, get your act together. I can’t decide for you. Just know that even a small wound on your heart turns into a deep scar for your father and me.”
A week later, Toru called to inform you that she called off the wedding. While you and Yuuta were elated at the fact that she didn’t have to suffer with in-laws like that, your hearts broke at the end of your daughter’s first love story.
twenty-five years
Toru yawned as the sun was rising. Her dad has asked her for her assistance in a mission. Of course, she knew he was using it as an excuse to spend time with her. Even at his age, a Grade 1 curse was nothing to him, but it was nice to work with him sometimes.
Her dad walked over to her, carrying a tray with two hot chocolate drinks. It was something they always did as a little girl. Drinking hot chocolate together. There wasn’t any particular reason why.
Toru watched as the sky became brighter and the city started waking up.
“How are you doing?” Yuuta asked her.
Toru knew what he was really asking her. “It’s been a year, Dad. I’m fine.”
He sighed. “I’m your father. Do you think I don’t know when my little girl is hurting?”
“I’m not so little anymore.”
“In my heart, you still are.” He answered. “One of the few things I’ve learned over the years is that you never really stop raising your children. I knew you would break off the engagement. Even if you don’t end up married, it’s fine. You can always come back to us.”
With the sun shining behind him, Toru started seeing him in a different light. Every time she walked the tightrope, he was always below her, always letting her know that he would catch her.
“Why would you say I wouldn’t get married?” She started whining. “I’ll get married someday. My future husband will be a super handsome guy.”
Yuuta chuckled. “Okay, my bad.”
He had no idea that a month later, Toru and Fushiguro Hinata would reconnect over childhood memories and start dating a few weeks later.
twenty-seven years
Toru anxiously tapped her high-heeled foot as she and Yuuta waited outside the hall. Her makeup was immaculate and her wedding dress was a brilliant white with a lace train trailing after her.
“Dad, you absolutely cannot cry, got it?” She frantically told him. “You know what? It would be better if I just don’t look at you through the whole ceremony. This makeup took almost three hours! I can’t ruin it-”
“Toru-chan?”
“Nani? W-what is it?” The normally confident Toru was nervous as hell. In a few minutes, she will be marrying Fushiguro Hinata.
“You can do this, right?” Yuuta sincerely asked her. “Because if you can’t, just run back to us. Don’t worry about the clans or anything like that. Just run!”
For a moment, Toru froze. Her dad told her that all the time, and he always meant it, even now.
She immediately burst into tears, bawling loudly. “Otou-chan, you’re so annoying!”
“If Hinata ever messes up, just leave him-”
“Stop it!” Toru sobbed. “Why would you make me cry now!”
You had the shock of your life when you saw your daughter crying while walking down the aisle. You smacked your husband’s shoulder when he sat down after giving her away to Hinata.
Yuuta really tried to keep his cool. He had promised Toru after all, but when they were pronounced husband and wife, your husband couldn't hold his tears back anymore.
His little princess had become someone’s queen now, and yet, Toru would forever remain his little girl in his heart.

summary: emma reveals something shocking in showterview
After the Korean SAT, in an arcade in Shinchon Seoul, this trio lost track of time playing games
Jihoon and Hyunwook were playing Tekken on a retro arcade machine. The younger of the two was badly losing by the second.
“Noona, help me!” Hyunwook begged Emma who was content with just watching them.
“Yah, Wook-ah, don’t go to Yiseo for everything!” Jihoon didn’t know how Hyunwook knew about his feelings for the rookie idol-actress when he hid them so well and kept his cool around the stunning young woman.
(Jihoon didn’t, in fact, keep his cool around her. He became a fool around her; he messed up his lines during their first kiss scene because he kept calling her Yiseo instead of Eunseo. He blamed it on the similar names.)
“I’ve never played this before though.” Emma told Hyunwook. She may not have been as close with him as she was with Jihoon but he quickly became a precious dongsaeng, second to Yunjin, Kazuha and Eunchae.
The blueberry girl took over, and with just the right amount of distraction from her perfume to the warmth of her body that Jihoon hadn’t felt in months since they wrapped up the filming for Weak Hero Class 1, Emma quickly won the round for Hyunwook. They high-fived each other while Jihoon’s jaw dropped at how easily he lost against her.
Here comes the bully in the neighbourhood
“Yah!” The trio turned around to see the one and only Sunmi moving towards them, arms folded. Emma personally had never met her before but she immediately thought that Sunmi was more beautiful in real life. “Are you three the celebs from Byeoksan High School?”
Jihoon visibly gulped at Sunmi’s very strong presence and aura.
“So you’re here for the promotions?”
“Yes, we did-oh!” The senior brought her arms around them, bringing them close to her. Emma couldn’t see it, but she was positive her face was as red as Jihoon’s hair. Sunmi was a senior idol she looked up to. From her siren voice to her sexy dance moves to her eye-catching stage presence, Sunmi was someone who was born to be an idol.
“You guys better entertain, or you’ll get smacked every time you make a dad joke.”
They nodded their heads together. The intro may have been scripted but this was still Sunmi. A senior in the entertainment industry with more than a decade’s worth of experience.
Sunmi coolly walked away from them.
“CUT!”
The senior immediately sprinted back to the actor trio. “Was it okay? The script was already like that! You weren’t intimidated, right?”
“You were great, sunbaenim.” Emma bowed down with her waist, making sure to keep in mind the greeting etiquette between seniors and juniors.
“Oh, you’re so cute! Try calling me unnie.”
“Sunmi-unnie?”
Sunmi had to hold herself back from squealing. There was just something endearing about a so-called ‘ice princess’ unintentionally doing aegyo. “You’re really adorable! Isn’t she?” She nudged Jihoon and Hyunwook.
“She is.” Jihoon absent-mindedly agreed with Sunmi. When they looked at him oddly, he realised he said it out loud. “Ah, I’m just agreeing with you.”
Sunmi pointed her finger between Jihoon and Emma. “Is there something between you two?”
“No.” Jihoon and Emma answered together which made the other two raise their eyebrows at them. Emma continued answering for them, “We just worked together the most so the chemistry is still there. I think.”
“Right.” Even though Jihoon agreed with her, a part of him was saddened by the fact that Yiseo had no such feelings for him. She and Eunseo were vastly different. In fact, she was more like Sieun than he was. She often chose not to speak unless she was spoken to.
Jihoon knew that it was due to the childhood trauma she experienced at the hands of her ‘father’. He only knew about him because he had found her alone in a closet, having a panic attack after she had filmed a scene with Changwook. She had felt guilty that she saw the actor as more of a dad than her actual father. Even though Yiseo had long accepted that she was never going to have a relationship with Yoon Hanseong, the child inside her, the one that never grew up, still yearned for his love and acceptance.
Jihoon didn’t know how she could thrive when she had such a heavy past on her shoulders. Even with a dark childhood, Yiseo still shone the brightest in his eyes. She had no idea that Jihoon loved her even more when he had held her in his arms, calming her down and anchoring her away from the darkest and scariest parts of her mind.
Sunmi didn’t believe Emma, especially when she saw through Jihoon’s facade. Maybe Emma hadn’t realised her feelings, but he definitely did. It wasn’t her place to say it, so the senior idol kept quiet.
“Okay. Everyone, it’s time to take your places.”
Fortunately, the awkward moment was dispersed when the crew called for them.
Emma was sitting between Jihoon and Hyunwook. The cameras started rolling, and Sunmi swiftly did the introduction.
“One’s a strawberry, and the other’s a blueberry. It’s obvious you two are idols.” Sunmi joked regarding the idol-actors’ hair colours. It was a complete coincidence that both of them had their comebacks at the same time as the release of Weak Hero. Somehow, despite their busy schedules, Jihoon and Emma still had time to film each other’s dance challenges on TikTok.
“Emma, you just debuted this year, but your name’s already been around in the entertainment industry since you were a finalist on Produce 48.” Emma nodded along to Sunmi’s statement. She was surprised that it was mentioned since the Produce series ended in such a scandal. To this day, there are still rumors that Emma was supposed to make it into the final lineup for IZ*ONE. “You were a hot topic when the first episode was released because to this day, you are the only survival contestant who successfully sang the triple high note in Good Day.”
Jihoon whistled. He remembered the first time he watched the episode with the WANNA ONE members in their dorms. Emma already garnered attention for her ‘ice princess’ visuals and for being the only trainee from SM. He admitted he had a slight crush on her during the run of PD48, like how someone became a fan of an idol. What was more impressive about Emma was that she had only been a trainee for five months, but showed exponential growth in her training.
“Were you always such a good singer?”
“I think natural talent is always helpful, but when I started training, I put more emphasis on my vocal training. Honestly, SM didn’t want me to sing Good Day.”
“Oh, really?”
She nodded her head. “I think they were afraid that the triple high note was going to be too tough, but with enough practice, I pulled it off.”
She and Sunmi looked at each other for a few seconds before the senior bluntly stated, “So you’ve always been a good singer.”
The four of them burst out in laughter, infecting the whole studio.
The interview continued after that, going well in Emma’s opinion. They talked about the preparations they did for the drama, and although Emma didn’t have nearly as many fight scenes as the other two did, she still had to train since Eunseo did have a lot of running scenes.
“I also heard of this rumor,” Sunmi handed Emma and Jihoon each a pack of lip balms, confusing both of them, “apparently, you had at least ten different kiss scenes in Weak Hero?”
Emma and Jihoon looked at each other with equally bright red faces, as Hyunwook and Sunmi laughed at their reactions.
The British-Korean girl was worried that her lack of kissing experience would be evident. She didn’t dare to tell Jihoon that she hadn’t even had her first kiss yet before filming started. Luckily, once she got used to the feel of his lips pushing and pulling against hers, Emma was able to film the kiss scenes and eventually, the sex scenes with ease.
It had nothing to do with the fact that Jihoon was an excellent kisser, and if Emma were a more vulgar person, she’d probably assume he was good in bed.
It had nothing to do with Park Jihoon.
Nothing at all.
“Did you really have that many kiss scenes?” Sunmi asked, “I mean, the main genre isn’t even romance.”
Jihoon took the lead. “We didn’t have that many scenes at first, but after the writers saw our chemistry test, they just added more. I was really shocked when I received the final script.”
He must have kissed Emma hundreds of times during filming, partially due to the fact that he sometimes messed up because he got distracted by how fast his heart was beating during those scenes, but it was always as Yeon Sieun and Jin Eunseo.
Sometimes, he wondered what it would be like if they kissed as Jihoon and Yiseo, without any cameras around them, and that by some miracle, Yoon Yiseo returned his feelings.
He didn’t dare to admit that sometimes, his thoughts led to long nights of trying to sleep before finally rubbing one out with Emma’s name on his tongue as he reached his climax.
Jihoon should really stop watching thirst trap edits of Emma on TikTok.
“I wasn’t really bothered by the number of kiss scenes. Sieun and Eunseo are each other’s first love, so it’s understandable, but …I really don’t know if I should say this.” Emma may have debuted just this year, but she knew that she had more anti-fans than any of her members in her group. Most of them were from her PD48 era, but some just didn’t like her introverted personality.
Some K-pop fans have this assumption that just because an idol was a foreigner, they’re instantly a bubbly extrovert who was friends with the whole entertainment industry, but Emma wasn't like that at all.
Emma had a small circle of friends, and she wasn’t the type of person who could keep the cheerful idol persona 24/7. She didn’t get it. She was already singing the words they wanted to hear and dancing the moves they wanted to see, but she couldn’t even be her real self? To be liked, did they want Emma to be some sort of mindless doll that did and said everything they asked without question?
She already lived her life as her father’s perfect daughter. Yoon Yiseo didn’t want to live the rest of her life as a perfect person. It was tiring, and she saw the toll it had on her late mother.
Emma absolutely refused to return to the cage her father prepared for her.
“Just say it,” Sunmi encouraged her.
“Honestly speaking, Jihoon-oppa is my first kiss ever.” Emma slowly revealed, which led the other three’s eyes to widen open with shock.
“WHAT!”
“Jihoon-hyung’s your first kiss?”
“You’re not lying, right?” Sunmi exclaimed. Emma was seriously one of the prettiest idols. Despite the hate she received daily, no one could deny her beauty when she first appeared on Produce 48. She was crowned the main visual of that season. However, as she grew up and matured, Emma lost her baby fat, and when she started working out more, she gained a slim and toned hourglass figure.
Sunmi searched through her cards for the one she had written about Emma. “You’re a college student. Did nobody seriously ask you out?”
“A few people did ask me for my number, but since I didn’t know them personally, I rejected them.” Most of the guys who asked her out were from other years and departments. Honestly, Emma felt like they asked her out just to see if they could score a date with Yonsei’s Ice Princess. During her first year, there were a few rumors saying she only got in because of her rich family, despite the fact that she was always placed within the first percentile after exam season.
Emma turned to Jihoon and chuckled when she saw that he still wasn’t moving. Her laughter snapped him out of his stupor.
“No, I - You should have told me!” Their first kiss scene was in the first episode when Eunseo fantasised about Sieun kissing her. It wasn’t a gentle first kiss scene at all. Jihoon could still remember the sounds Emma made when his tongue roughly invaded her mouth. The soft moans she let out when he bit the skin of her neck. That was really her first kiss? “I would have been more gentle-”
“It’s okay,” Emma reassured Jihoon, patting him on the shoulder, “I had a good first kiss.”
“Was it really that good?” Sunmi joked.
Emma’s eyes widened when she realised what she had just insinuated, “Wait! I-”
Fortunately, the crew signalled to Sunmi to hurry along. Before Emma knew it, they were playing on the Dance Dance Revolution machine, where she danced to ANTIFRAGILE while attempting to answer questions.
Soon enough, the interview with Sunmi was done, and the commemorative photo was taken.
Emma was scrolling on her phone, waiting for her manager, when she heard Jihoon call out her name.
“Yiseo-yah!” Jihoon didn’t miss the smile that appeared on Emma’s face after she saw him. His mind suddenly flashed back to what Chaewon had once told him before.
“Yiseo doesn’t smile for anyone. If she smiles just by seeing you, then she cares for you.”
His heart skipped a beat at seeing her rare smile. Jihoon had seen it a thousand times during filming, even during her performances as a member of LE SSERAFIM, but to know that Emma genuinely cares for him makes him in ways that he didn’t know he could be.
“Jihoon-oppa, you’re not going home yet?”
“No, I’m still waiting for my manager, and even so, I’m going back to the company.” He was not looking forward to dance practice.
“I understand,” Emma sympathised with him, “I’m glad that our comeback is successful, but my legs are going to fall off at this point.”
“You’re going to win first place again.”
“Oppa, don’t say that!” She jokingly punched his shoulder, ignoring how firm his biceps felt. It was nearly time for Emma’s next period, and as usual, she felt horny during her premenstrual period. So much so that Jihoon started appearing in her dreams.
“It’s only because he’s the only one you’ve actually done anything with. It’s just acting, Yoon Yiseo. Don’t ruin your friendship with him just because you’re a horny virgin.”
“I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable with what I revealed earlier.”
“It’s okay. Honestly, it’s a confidence booster.” While Jihoon wasn’t sure if Yiseo would ever love him back, he was glad to know that she found his kissing more than adequate. “Yiseo, you seriously have never been in a relationship?”
“It’s not like I’m not interested in dating, but I just don’t think that they’ll keep liking me after getting to know me.” Emma usually wouldn’t tell this to anyone. Maybe to her members, but she usually kept silent about her problems.
Jihoon was different.
When he found her when she was freaking out after filming the father-daughter scenes, Emma actually demanded that he leave, despite knowing she was being disrespectful as a junior actress. However, Jihoon stayed. He only held her in his arms, and he didn’t try to pressure her into telling him what was wrong.
On that day, Jihoon started occupying her heart, and she readily carved it out for him.
“Yiseo-yah,” Jihoon’s voice was quiet but serious, making Emma look at him, “you’re like a diamond. With love and care, you shine so brilliantly, it’s blinding. You fascinate everyone around you. Not a single person would stop loving you after knowing you.”
Emma stayed silent. She didn’t know, but she started looking at Jihoon differently that day. He was more dear to her. Someone she would trust with her life.
A couple of years later, Emma Yoon would eventually realise that she had fallen in love with Park Jihoon at that moment, and she would continue falling forever.
AUTHOR'S NOTES
Dividers are made by the talented @uzmacchiato & @saradika-graphics!
I literally counted all the kissing scenes I wrote in LOVE POEM I, and EunEun had a total of thirteen kiss scenes, and I didn’t even include the soft kiss scenes. Basically, Jihoon and Emma were kissing each other almost every day for the duration of the filming.
Jihoon was STRUGGLING from 2022 - 2024. He’s trying to be professional with Emma, but Sieun and Eunseo had so many kiss scenes. He immediately took cold showers after filming the sex scenes.
The K-pop OC archetype is from the late 2010s era on Wattpad, with the abundance of added member fanfics. I’m talking about the only female member who’s always an American, fluent in ten languages, and usually the maknae of the group. Somehow, she’s friends with all the popular idols within the first month of her debut.

summary: how yiseo escaped her fate
July 2020
The metronomic tick of the wall clock was the loudest sound in the hall as students checked their answers, sometimes rewriting them, in the last few minutes of the college exam. They turned the pages, ensuring every answer was meticulously written to the best of their abilities.
The rhythmic beeping of the invigilator’s phone rang, breaking the tension. “Students, stop writing. The examination is now over!”
Some students groaned, complaining about how hard the paper was, while some others whooped, just glad that the dreaded exam week was finally over. Yoon Yiseo stayed silent as usual, calmly packing away her pencil case before getting out of her seat and searching for her laptop bag. When she acquired her bag, she made her way out of the exam hall. One wouldn't have expected her to be a former idol trainee, judging by her conduct alone.
She had matured slightly from the last time she appeared on Produce 48. Her cheeks were slimmer now, having lost her baby fat as she entered adulthood. While she didn't grow any taller, her physique was more toned compared to her child-like and stick-thin figure back then, and to Yiseo's highly welcomed surprise, her breasts had gone up two cup sizes from pert A-cups to perky C-cups. It wasn't like she had a boyfriend to share them with, but they were a great confidence booster, even though it was annoying how her back ached sometimes, especially after a pilates session.
“Yiseo-sshi, wait up!” She turned around to see Cha Dongmin running towards her. He shared a class and had worked on group projects a couple of times. “A few of us are planning to go bar-hopping tonight. Do you want to join us?”
“I’m sorry, but I already have plans.” Although Yiseo barely knew him, the crestfallen expression on Dongmin’s face made her feel a bit guilty. “Maybe next time.”
Not wanting the awkward situation to extend any longer, Yiseo excused herself, saying she was running late, although she had a good thirty minutes left. She quickly arrived at the student parking lot, where her car, a 2019 silver Hyundai Santa Fe XL, was parked.
Meanwhile, Cha Dongmin watched as the girl whom he had quietly been crushing on literally left him in the dust. He admitted that her looks were a significant contribution to his feelings for her, but he also found her to be pleasantly nice and polite during the times they worked together. She was also incredibly smart. The weird rumors of her family paying her way into Yonsei were definitely false.
“Cheer up, buddy,” His friend clapped him on the back. “Girls like her are just unattainable to guys like us.”
Another friend chimed in, “Well, she isn’t Yonsei’s goddess for nothing. You’re not the first guy who missed his shot, and you wouldn’t be the last.”
“Do you mind taking your eyes off my chest?” Yiseo sarcastically asked her best friend.
“Did your boobs get bigger?” Chaewon wondered, eyes still laser-focused on them. “I’m so jealous. I wish I could only get bigger in that area like you.”
“Yah, stop saying such ridiculous stuff,” Yiseo remarked in mock offense. “My ass is pretty nice, too. A bubble butt.”
Chaewon played along with her, “You lucky bitch.”
“Stop hanging out with me then.”
“No way. I still need you as my sugar mummy.”
Yiseo guffawed at Chaewon's word, causing the other girl to burst out in snorts. Usually, her best friend would be careful with her language. However, Yiseo had used her family's influence to book a private room at a high-end restaurant. While it may seem extreme, Chaewon was popular these days, and even Yiseo, who had stayed out of the limelight since the finale of Produce 48, sometimes still had random people recognise her and try to take pictures of her without her permission.
“What would WIZ*ONE do if they find out that their precious Chaewon has such a dirty mouth?” Yiseo laughed.
“I don’t know. Maybe they’d lose their minds if they ever find out that I’m as human as them,” Chaewon sipped some wine from her glass. “How did your exams go?”
“It was a bit challenging this time, but I managed to pull through,” answered Yiseo. “How about you? Secret Song of the Swan was a hit! You girls did well.”
“The promotion period was hell, but in the end, I’m thankful,” Chaewon smiled solemnly. “I think you’d have done a better job, though.”
The chaebol’s eyes softened. Ever since the scandal came out last year, her dear friend had felt guilty, especially after evidence came out that Yiseo was supposed to debut in the finale. It was never confirmed, but the producers never denied it either.
“This again?” Yiseo reached out to hold Chaewon’s hand. “Chaewon-ah, it was better that I didn’t make it into IZ*ONE. I already sealed my fate when I manipulated the staff into letting me take Wonyoung’s spot.”
“It’s not just that,” Chaewon choked up, whimpering as she tried to hold back her sobs. Yiseo sat down in the seat beside her, holding the crying girl in her arms and rubbing her back. She looked at her with tearful eyes. “Yiseo-yah, back then, you were literally trying to survive. I couldn’t help but wonder if I stole that chance away from you?”
“You didn’t steal anything from me,” Yiseo comforted her, her eyes also brimming with unshed tears. “Even now, I don’t regret anything, so stop feeling guilty. Besides, I wouldn’t have fit in with the rest of you. I prioritise myself too much.”
While Yiseo had never been naive, growing up as the bastard of the Yoon family disallowed her that undependable quality; she wasn’t as merciful or forgiving as she was during Produce 48.
Yiseo didn’t have the same bloodthirsty need to always be the apex predator that her father did, but one thing she couldn’t stand was when someone purposefully tried to sabotage her.
She was a saint to her loved ones, but she quickly turned into a demon when it came to her enemies. This side of her allowed her to survive beyond her childhood, but it was also what Yiseo hated the most about her. It reminded her too much of her father and her siblings.
“Are you talking about that teacher’s assistant?” Chaewon scoffed. “Yiseo-yah, she was going to get rid of you. You did what you had to do.”
A few weeks after the end of Produce 48, Yiseo returned to school. Naturally, some people whispered about her in the hallways, and some of them even had the nerve to say she didn’t drive to debut with her haughty personality. Yiseo was already used to the subtle thorns and pricks of whispers. She had already adapted to it from when the maids talked about her, disgusted with the fact that they had to serve their employer’s bastard.
However, there was a teacher’s assistant, Na Jiyeon, a young woman who worked with their homeroom teacher, Mr Gong. She had been employed during Yiseo’s time on PD48, but for some reason, she seemed to hate Yiseo instantly. During attendance, Jiyeon would make subtle jabs about her failed rise to stardom, commenting that studious kids should just stick with what they do best.
Bitches like Hong Jinae and her posse laughed along while most of her classmates stayed silent. No one stood up for her.
Perhaps what infuriated Jiyeon the most was that Yiseo never reacted to her insults. After all, she was just a bitch who only knew how to bark, and occasionally suck Mr Gong’s dick just so she could keep her job. Na Jiyeon was as unimportant as a speck of dust for Yoon Yiseo.
However, one day, Na Jiyeon crossed the line when she walked out of Yoon Hanseong’s bedroom, flashing a cold smile to Yiseo when the teenage girl was getting ready for school. Her father was sleeping with a woman who was barely a few years older than her.
Na Jiyeon was aiming to be the next matriarch of the Yoon family, and Yiseo knew that in that woman’s vision, Yiseo had no place in her perfect future.
“You shouldn’t be so cold to me,” Jiyeon told her one day. “After all, I’m going to be your second stepmother, especially with my little one.”
She cradled her stomach before walking away, not noticing Yiseo’s lips curling up into a wide smile. That was the start of Na Jiyeon’s downfall.
Yiseo waited for Jiyeon near her car after the assistant was done with one of her ‘meetings’ with Mr Gong. The malicious woman didn’t even notice the slight upward curve of her lips before she started gloating.
“Are you here to beg for my forgiveness?” Jiyeon smirked. “You shouldn’t have been so high and mighty with me.”
“I’m so sorry! I’m just a kid. Please spare me!” Yiseo’s staged sobs broke out into hysterical laughter that made the woman step away from her. The teenage girl, who rarely found humor in anything, grinned at Jihyeon with a broad smile that scared her. “Do you really think I would do that for anyone, much less a two-timing whore like you?”
“You insolent bitch-”
“AHJUMMA!” Yiseo screeched, cutting her off. Na Jiyeon was too arrogant. “My father is infertile.”
Yiseo’s revelation stunned the older woman silent for a second. “What?”
“After I was born, he got a vasectomy. He’s so anal-retentive that he gets a yearly checkup just so he won’t repeat the same mistake as he did with me. Ahjumma, you know how much of a narcissist he is,” Yiseo mockingly looked down at the belly Jiyeon was supporting. “He might even kill you for cheating on him and getting impregnated by another man.”
Realising the dire situation she was in, Jiyeon knelt on her knees, clutching the younger girl’s hands. “Yiseo-yah, please don’t do this! I beg of you!”
“What exactly would I be doing?” She coldly stared down at her. “Na Jiyeon, you’re the one who got yourself into this hell. Not me, but you’re lucky that I’m not as cruel as him.”
Yiseo knelt on the asphalt ground, hugging Jiyeon, before whispering in her ear. “You shouldn’t have tried to get rid of me, but I’ll help you. In return, never speak a word about this to anyone until the day you die. If you try to sabotage me again, I’ll drag you down with me. Understand?”
Jiyeon nodded furiously. Yoon Yiseo wasn’t some villainess who mindlessly destroyed others. She only struck down people who wronged her first. She only did what was enough, never too much, as if she was trying to stop herself from being corrupted by the rush she felt when Na Jiyeon’s fate was in her hands.
That was the first time Yiseo ever took her demons out on someone. Even though Na Jiyeon was a despicable person who tried to sabotage her, Yiseo didn’t like how she enjoyed the sight of Jiyeon begging her for her forgiveness.
“Chaewon-ah,” Yiseo stirred her cocktail absent-mindedly. “I’m just grateful that you’re still my friend, even after hearing how wicked I can be.”
Yiseo brushed through her dark, shoulder-length locks, deciding a simple hairstyle would be best for tonight’s dinner. Her diamond earrings were eye-catching enough, sparkling as if they were brand new, and they matched perfectly with the bedazzled criss-cross halter neckline of her light blue dress. The dress itself was of a wrap style that accentuated her hourglass figure.
Her father had told her to dress nicely for their usual dinner, where they discussed her grades and academics. Other than that, they didn’t converse about anything else. Unlike in the past, he no longer insinuated anything about how grateful she should be that he didn’t throw her out on the streets. Yiseo learned that it was better to show she was unaffected by his words, even if it did prick her heart in multiple places.
Grabbing her purse, a small, light blue Prada bucket bag, and putting on a pair of white kitten heels, Yiseo left her room, paying no attention to the maids who cleaned the mansion. She was about to enter the garage when she heard a familiar voice calling her.
“Are you going to have dinner with Father?” Her sister asked her. Although Nagyeong had moved out ever since she got married, she occasionally came home, more so since she gave birth to her daughter, Nam Iseul, five years ago. The sisters have kept a civil relationship, and for the past few months, Nagyeong kept giving hints about wanting to reconnect. Yiseo assumed it was because of her niece.
“My exams ended a few days ago,” Yiseo answered. “Is Iseul staying over too? Where’s your husband?”
“It’s just me this time. Yiseo-yah…” Nagyeong trailed off. Yiseo raised an eyebrow at her. Her sister had been awfully interested in her the past few months. “Good luck.”
“What would I need luck for?” She questioned.
Nagyeong just had a small smile, although she didn’t look happy. “Just …good luck.”
Paying no mind to her, Yiseo just went to the garage. She got into the car and drove to the restaurant her father had told her to go to. She never had a choice in where they ate, though she never expected to have one. Arriving at the table, her father was already sitting there with an elaborate spread of king crabs, lobsters, and prawns. Of course, he ordered his favourite food without even caring that Yiseo didn’t like shellfish at all. Yiseo didn’t dare to complain or gripe about it.
Instead of saying hello, her father just said, “You’re late.”
She was at the restaurant, barely a few minutes past their agreed time. “There was traffic.”
“Excuses,” He stated. “You’re the daughter. You should have been here earlier than I.”
Yiseo knew that Hanseong always made a point to arrive earlier, always so that he could pick on her, even if it was the most minute detail.
She bowed down slightly to him. “I apologise.”
“That’s okay,” She blinked in surprise. Yiseo had expected him to lecture her for a few more minutes. “Our guests aren’t here, so it’s good you haven’t embarrassed me yet.”
“Guests?”
Hanseong didn’t answer her because, right on time, his guests had arrived at the table. Two men, most likely father and son. Yiseo recognised the son as a fellow student at Yonsei, although he was most likely a few years older than her. He was tall, easily at least six feet tall, with sharp features that made him look visually pleasing.
“He is the son of Mr Ji, one of the company’s biggest investors,” Her father introduced him as they took their seats, the son sitting beside her. “Ji Youngwoo. I believe that you also attend Yonsei?”
“Yes, sir,” He nodded while shyly smiling at Yiseo. She returned his gesture, though she didn’t really mean it. “I’m in my final year, but I have already been accepted into Yonsei’s medical school.”
“My son is just being shy!” Mr Ji laughed. “He’s the only one in his batch who was granted early admission. He’s a bona fide genius! He might just give you a run for your money, little miss!”
Yiseo just chuckled. “I believe so.”
“That’s good news. My Yiseo was awarded for academic excellence last semester.” Hanseong only boasted about her to his colleagues as if he had contributed to her achievements. “She will make a good wife for your son.”
Yiseo stared at him. “What?”
“You will marry him,” Her father stated. “Of course, not right away, but you’ll get to know each other better, and by next year, you’ll be married.”
He said it as if Yiseo’s opinion didn’t matter. As if she were an idiot if she were to refuse this agreement. Mr Ji must have noticed how her facial expression wasn’t as calm and monotone as her usual facade because he tried to defuse the tension.
“Only if you want to-”
“Why wouldn’t she?” Hanseong interrupted him, “Youngwoo is more than capable enough. It’s her you should worry about. Yiseo’s hard to get along with.”
The pounding of her heart was too loud in her ears. Her surroundings became muffled, and she could hear Youngwoo offering to get her water, but she couldn't care less about him. All she could focus on was the fact that her father intended to sell her off.
“I don’t want to.”
Her father’s apathetic demeanour faltered and cracked, showing a hint of his true self. “What?”
Yiseo met his eyes with a determined gaze. “I will not be involved in an arranged marriage.”
Without wasting her breath, Yiseo got up to leave the table, not bothering to look back at the crestfallen Ji Youngwoo, or at her father, who shouted at her to get back there.
Yoon Yiseo loved her mother. She still does to this day, but it didn’t mean she wanted to end up like her.
“Yiseo-yah, if there’s one thing I want more than anything else, don’t stay trapped like me. Live for nobody other than yourself.”
Her mother’s wish was the only thing that kept Yiseo from crashing out during the drive back to the mansion. Her calm, self-imposed mirage started to crack slowly as she drew closer to the place she had once called home a long time ago.
Yiseo couldn’t afford to show any weaknesses in public. She already learned from her time on PD48. The so-called national producers used them to tear her apart. She always found the nickname they bestowed upon her funny: the Villainess of PD48.
In Yiseo’s experience, provoking a villain would only make you suffer. Netizens called her a villainess because of her antisocial and apathetic personality, but they had no idea how wicked she could be to her enemies. If she had her family’s support, Yoon Yiseo would have buried every keyboard warrior under mountains of legal debt. She wouldn’t care about their circumstances. Decent people don’t attack innocent people who have done anything to them.
After she parked her car in the garage, Yiseo finally shed her aloof mask.
“SSIBAL!!” She slammed the steering wheel, causing the horn to go off. Yiseo breathed in and out, trying to collect her thoughts, but her mind kept going back and forth between what she should do now. “That bastard! Fucking bastard!”
“What am I going to do now? If I stay in this family, either I’m sold off, or I’ll end up dead.”
“Ssibal…” Yiseo sobbed, leaning her forehead down into her hands. “Why do I have to suffer? Why can’t they just leave me alone?”
Yiseo panted, trying to calm herself down. She needed to find a way out. She needed a trump card that would finally grant her the victory she deserved. She got out of the car, carelessly slamming the door. She didn’t even bother to lock it; her thoughts were too frazzled, thinking up various scenarios of how her father would punish her. Maybe he would finally kill her, like he threatened to do so many times before, and put her out of her misery. That was better than being used by him.
She was close to giving up when Yiseo saw her sister. Nagyeong was standing in the foyer as if she had been waiting for her.
“You already knew, didn’t you?” She didn’t answer, leading the younger sister to scoff and chuckle bitterly. “Is that why you’ve been trying to reconcile with me?”
“How is it that even after all this time, after everything I sacrificed?” Although Yiseo was smiling, her chuckles were nothing but bitter and tired. “How could he still hurl me down to rock bottom!”
“Our father took everything from me!” She screamed furiously at her older sister. “My childhood, my humanity, my dreams, and now, he wants to take my future?”
Yiseo grabbed her hair, trying to regain some semblance of control over her spiraling sanity. She can’t let that man force her into an arranged marriage. She refused to be led into a doomed adulthood like how Seon Nari was. “I don’t want to. I can’t do this anymore! I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE!”
Desperate, she grabbed onto Nagyeong’s blouse. “Help me, Unnie. You said you wanted to repent for your past actions. Help me go against him.”
Nagyeong wanted to make amends for all of her sins against her half-sister, but even though the older woman was treated miles better than how Yiseo was treated, she still shuddered at the thought of being the object of Yoon Hanseong’s wrath.
“I can’t.”
Yiseo’s eyes bulged at her sister’s refusal. Any sign of pleading disappeared, and only disappointment was apparent on her face. Nagyeong may have caused her deepest scar, but in the end, she was just a coward who hid behind others when it got tough.
“You can’t, or you wouldn’t? Do you really think you have a choice in this?” Yiseo was done being nice. It was time Nagyeong paid for the scar she inflicted on Yiseo. “Tell me what I need to know, or else, I’ll tell your daughter just what kind of pathetic monster her mum used to be.”
Nagyeong stared in shock at her threat, but Yiseo’s eyes remained wide and unblinking.
“You would go that far? You would involve Iseul in this ridiculous rebellion of yours?” She asked in disbelief. “My daughter is just a kid!”
“I was a kid, too!” Yiseo shot back with fury flashing in her eyes. “I was a kid when you decided to punish me for his sins! Yoon Nagyeong, make your choice. Who would you save? Yourself or your daughter?”
Back then, when she was still an immature teenager, Nagyeong thought she was just and righteous in revealing the truth to her younger sister. Yiseo was the shame of the Yoon family, and for the first time in her life, her father actually noticed Nagyeong. However, her mother never looked at her the same ever since. She couldn’t understand why her mother raised that wicked and despicable child. It wasn't until Nagyeong became a mother herself that she finally understood her late mother’s emotions.
“In her study, you’ll find a copy of her will.”
“The lawyer already read her will after she passed.” Yiseo had only received a few pieces of Nari’s jewelry. She remembered picking them out of her mother’s jewelry box as a child, mesmerised by the white diamonds and stunning sapphires. Her mother promised she would give them to her on her eighteenth birthday. Sadly, that never came true.
“He only read the will Father gave him,” Nagyeong confessed. “Mother revised her will shortly before she passed. She loved you the most out of all of us. Did you really think she just left you jewelry?”
Despite being an illegitimate child, it was a known fact that Seon Nari had cherished Yiseo the most out of all of her children. Maybe that was why Nagyeong hated her so vehemently when they were kids, but Yiseo couldn’t care less about her sister’s jealousy. Her heart was too battered and stitched up to hold any love for her family.
Yiseo looked away from Nagyeong, her eyes landing on the poker near the fireplace. She moved to grab it, ignoring how her sister flinched at her action. Did she really think Yiseo would attack her? Brute violence was never her preferred method, though.
“Just so you know,” Yiseo didn’t recognise Nagyeong anymore. She used to be a mean girl who took delight in reminding her of her place, but now, she was a mother who was trying to change for her daughter. Yiseo didn’t know which one she preferred. Both were despicable to her. “I wouldn’t have said anything to Iseul. Unlike you, I know that children don’t inherit the sins of their parents.”
Yiseo didn’t say that to comfort Nagyeong. Rather, it was her final punishment so that her older sister would be rid of her victim mentality and finally see how much of a monster she truly was.
Ignoring the screams and sobs her sister made and the rushing footsteps of the household staff, Yiseo made her way to her mother’s study, dragging the poker along, scratching the marble floor. The study had been locked up after her death. Her father had forbidden anyone from entering. Yiseo previously thought that he was just trying to erase any hint of Seon Nari. It never occurred to her that he had something to hide.
Yiseo was sure that if she searched hard enough, she would have found the key to her study, but she didn’t care anymore. Too much was at stake, and she couldn’t waste a single second.
She raised the poker and slammed it onto the padlock, stabbing it repeatedly. The sound of metals clanging against each other was loud and distracting, but Yiseo kept at it.
“W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” The head maid, her father’s most loyal employee, the same one who called Yiseo all sorts of names since she was a child, gasped. She bellowed to the other maids, “Don’t just stand there! Stop her!”
Yiseo waved the poker around, eyes darting wildly between them. She roared, “Unless you want to die, stay away!”
The maids, cowardly beings who insulted her behind her back but never to her face, flinched and yelped, not daring to step an inch closer towards her. Yiseo was too close now. She can’t let anyone get in her way again. She can’t be locked up anymore.
With one final stab, the padlock broke free, clattering to the floor. She pushed the door open, revealing her mother’s study, the only place Yiseo had ever been safe in. The blinds were drawn, and cobwebs might as well have covered every inch of the room. The air was musty and stale from lack of circulation over the last few years.
Yiseo was only focused on one spot in the room. A loose floorboard in the corner near the window. Her mother had shown her that spot when she was still a little girl, calling it their little treasure cove. If Nari wanted to hide anything, it would be there.
Yiseo pried the floorboard open, revealing a small chest that they had put in there a long time ago. She latched it open, recognising the pieces of her childhood she put in there; random keyrings, small figurines, and even a lollipop. There was a folded sheet of paper, yellowed and frayed at the edges, but it was readable nonetheless.
It was her mother's will. It had no mention of her father's name on it. She didn't even leave him with a single penny, unlike what was stated in the will that he had given to their lawyer after her death.
Instead, everything that Yoon Hanseong claimed was his: the shares, 40% of the Seon family fortune, and the summer home were written under Yiseo’s name.
“Eomma, you seriously gave me all of this?” Yiseo weakly whimpered, tears falling onto the paper. Even up in heaven, her mother was still looking out for her. She could hear the furious yells and screams of her father, but she couldn’t care less. Her mother had given the key to her freedom.
Hanseong stopped in his tracks at the sight of the will in Yiseo’s hands. The lie he had meticulously crafted years ago was unfurling. Yiseo had seen all sorts of expressions on her father’s face: disgust, rage, disappointment, but the utterly defeated look he had was one she would remember for all time.
“You’re fucked,” Yiseo gleefully laughed, not caring how insane she looked. She deserved to have this moment. There was no way out of this for him. Her name and face were too well-known by now. Even if he killed her to cover it all up, people would ask where she was. “Even in death, Eomma is still defying you.”
She laughed and laughed, rain pouring hard outside while thunder and lightning danced throughout the sky. In this moment, Yoon Yiseo resembled the villainess the Yoon family created.
After all, she was still Yoon Hanseong’s daughter, and she inherited her worst qualities from him, and she used them to land the final blow on him.

Dividers are made by the talented @uzmacchiato and @saradika-graphics!
I have no words to say about this. I always knew there was going to be a dramatic walkout scene, but I could never get the details right, and then, this happened.
Emma’s not evil. More so, she tends to treat everyone with neutrality. She doesn’t treat strangers with either warmth or coldness. She doesn’t even care if people call her names because she’s used to it. However, she will react with the same force if you try to sabotage her.
For any silent readers, please follow my account so that it’s easier for me to update you through announcements, instead of writing another non-chapter.
This started from the very first day and still continues to today.
During PD48, Emma would always have a constant poker face when she wasn’t performing or training. She rarely showed any other expression, and she didn’t even cry during the entirety of the program. She was also very introverted to the point where the only one who really got to know her was Chaewon. Emma also found it awkward to do aegyo, so she never did it because she thought she looked weird and it wasn’t as nice as the other trainees.
Therefore, netizens started saying she was arrogant and looked down on the other trainees. They even named her the Villainess of PD48.
Of course, Emma never thought that. She just never had any friends growing up, so she didn’t know how to talk to people.
Her mother also passed away in early 2017. Even though it had already been a year, Emma was still grieving her. She didn’t tell the production team because she didn’t want them to milk her grief for views. At the time, she was still sensitive about it and saw it as disrespecting her late mother.
The hate editing by MNET was strong against her, especially in her supposed ‘fight’ with Wonyoung.
Emma’s votes were rigged. She was supposed to debut, but because she wasn’t easily manipulated like the other trainees, she placed 15th.
ALLEGED FIGHT WITH WONYOUNG
Okay, this is a big one. Emma and Wonyoung weren’t close before the ‘fight’. They were never grouped together and didn’t hang in the same circles.
Then, Emma convinced someone from the production crew to pull Wonyoung out of the Side to Side team, and she took her place.
Emma had good intentions; she saw Wonyoung as a 13-year-old kid who was getting taken advantage of and being manipulated into performing a sexually provocative song.
However, she still did it without telling Wonyoung, so of course, Wonyoung was pissed. The latter confronted her in front of the cameras and asked Emma if she had an inferiority complex because no one liked her, and she wasn’t going to debut because of that. Emma was calm, saying that Wonyoung was still young. She can hate her forever, but in the future, she’ll end up thanking her. The confrontation wasn’t aired since Emma implied that MNET was trying to take advantage of the then-underaged Wonyoung, but it was clear that there was some tension between the two.
Don’t blame Wonyoung; she was just a kid back then in a high-pressure environment. Emotions were running high, and it’s impossible to be nice all of the time, especially when you feel like someone cheated you out of something that was rightfully yours.
Although Emma had good intentions, she still didn’t communicate with Wonyoung first. She was also manipulated by MNET into becoming that week’s villain. To clarify, neither of them was right or wrong either.
Fast forward to 2020, Wonyoung is older and found out that Emma was rigged to fail in the end. Chaewon also told her that Emma only did what she did because she wanted Wonyoung to cherish her childhood as long as she could. She already felt immense guilt when she rewatched PD48 and saw how messed up it would be if she had ended up performing Side to Side. She asked Chaewon to come with her to Source Music so that she could apologise to Emma for her outburst.
To Wonyoung’s surprise, Emma not only accepted her apology but also told her that she didn’t do anything wrong. The only ones guilty were the production team who tried to sexualise a 13-year-old girl for views. They became friends, and Wonyoung even supported Emma when she was cast for Weak Hero.
WEAK HERO
Emma being cast as Jin Eunseo was something out of the blue. She had only been acting for less than a year, and it was only in extra roles.
Netizens doubted her acting capabilities and even started a petition to get her removed from the show. It got even worse when netizens found out she came from a moderately wealthy family and accused her of paying her way.
Yoo Soomin wasn’t having it. He publicly stated that the audition process was strict and rigorous. Although there were more experienced actresses, Emma had shone the most out of all of them and truly understood Jin Eunseo’s character the most.
When she debuted in LE SSERAFIM, netizens said that she should have rejected the role when she was going to be an idol.
The hate only stopped when the drama aired and viewers saw how amazingly she acted as Eunseo.
MIN HEEJIN
This happened during the HYBE- Min Heejin - NewJeans mess.
Remember that time when Hanni said that ILLIT’s managers forbade them from greeting them? Then, sometime later, she said it was no big deal, and they just found it funny.
Well, Emma didn’t find it funny.
A few months after, during a random solo live, Emma kinda discreetly called her out without saying any names.
At first, it started with her saying how some hoobae idols don’t greet them properly, and then, there was the dealbreaker.
“It’s expected to take good care of your hoobaenim, especially when you’re under the same label. It’s a way of paying back your sunbaenim who supported you. You say you don’t want to involve them, but you still said their names.”
Emma basically called out Min Heejin for saying she doesn’t want to involve ILLIT, but it doesn’t change the fact that she still let it happen anyway. She could have kept their names out of it, but chose not to.
Emma didn’t appear on NewJeans social media anymore.
It may seem harsh, but Emma has her own sense of right and wrong. She doesn’t care what the court or the company says. What she knows is that ILLIT never got the support they needed.
AUTHOR'S NOTES
This may get me flamed, but yeah, Emma’s not the type of person who bends down to anyone just because of authority. She’s honest.
Emma tries to understand people, but once you cross the line, she doesn’t want to bother thinking about you anymore.
Emma's not hating on NewJeans, but she also doesn't really like how they're supporting Min Heejin, who was indirectly responsible for the hate trains against LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, so in her mind, the girls have made their decision, so she just treats them like colleagues. She neither treats them with warmth nor dislike. Just a general feeling of nothing.
