I loved the music. I loved it. It was compelling me forward, pulling me through the perennial walls of my psyche. And I thought, why not ride it to blindness? "Thank you father." She spoke giving her maker a polite curtsey in response. Claudia was pretty happy to still have her beauty. She was forever a doll in life. So it only made sense that things stayed the same in her afterlife.

She laughed for a moment. Adorable giggles escaping the child. "You clearly don't know anything. You were always my favorite. Besides louis has disappointed me." She said with a scoff. Looking like she was inspecting the dirt from underneath her claw like nails.

The pleasant melody made a soft smile grace her features. Fingers tapping in the air before she settled her hands back at her sides. "Though I won't lie armand is a factor. Not just for the role he played in my demise but he always hated me. Threatened me and louis didn't care. Doesn't sound like him he said. Daddy lou even called me a burden at the end you know."

She sighed softly. Meeting his gaze with warmth. "I figured if anyone would appreciate my company right now it would be you. It isn't fair. I shouldn't have to deal with loneliness anymore."

"Don't  call  me  that."  He  says  it  quickly  because  he  was  never  her  father.  Christ  hated  her  by  the  end  but  also  had  a  deep  respect  for  who  she  was.  A  parent  should  never  have  their  child.  That’s  the  lie  he  told  himself  that  he  never  loved  her. 

He  gives  an  amused  hum  as  he  actually  chuckles  at  that.  "Oh  Cher  that's  just  the  way  with  my  fledglings."  He  muses  as  his  hands  move  up  the  keys  with  well  practised   perfection.  "The  only  gift  all  seem  to  claim  I'm  afraid  they  all  end  up  disappointments  in  one  way  or  another."  He  turns  his  head  slightly  to  view  the  ghost  of  his  daughter.  "But  not  you,  never  you."

At  mention  of  what  Louis  had  said  about  Armand  his  playing  turns  less  soft  and  more  heavy-handed  some  might  say  more  defensive.  "You're  right  to  feel  unease  around  him.  C'est  une  petite  chose  cruelle  et  méchante.  "  He  took  a  calming  breath  and  went  back  to  playing  another  one  of  her  songs.  "It's  Louis  I'm  sure  he  didn't  mean  those  words."

He  hated  how  right  she  was  he  could  use  the  company  but  he  hated  the  idea  of  her  being  lonely  even  more.  "Is  Madeleine  not  with  you?"  He  asks  the  question  with  softness.  "I  would  hope  you'd  at  least  have  her  with  you."
