Books I read: Sometimes I like to read fantasy or sci-fi, like Orson Scott Card, JK Rowling, Brandon Sanderson, Madeleine L'Engle, or some stand-alone books like Phantom Tollbooth or Flatland. I've recently been reading Rivers of London. I also favor think piece style books, for instance, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. Sometimes I will read books about writing, such as On Writing (by Stephen King), and Bird by Bird (Anne Lamott). Writing genres: I have two fantasy (magic) books in my "vault". Both are bad but maybe could be salvaged with heavy edits and an open mind. One of the books was innocent, the other had sexy stuff. I'm not sure how to feel about writing a sex-less romance story. The sexy scenes kind of help me stay motivated. (Heh.) That said, I do have some interest in shaking things up and branching out.
