Some can recognise and decide to move past the mistakes and pain of the past, with the hope of creating a better future. Even if it means letting go of their own hurt for the sake of others.

Some will try. They will keep trying. Even after they hit rock bottom, they will push back up from that solid foundation and try to be better than they were.

Some will be lost to the pain of the past they hold onto. It will consume them. And they will repeat the same patterns until it destroys them.

Some will give up. They will fall and hit rock bottom, and then find a shovel to keep digging down further no matter how much pain it causes. Until they finally have their grave.
