Help get 1D Fan Initiatives featured on @TheEllenShow
We believe that fans of One Direction deserve to be portrayed as the intelligent, thoughtful and diverse group they are. Too often, the media portrays so called “Directioners” as hysterical and naive. Help us contact the Ellen Show and ask her to feature fans from 1D Fans Give, Take Me Home From Narnia and Project No Control when One Direction are on her show this November. Here are some ways that you can help!
Tweet or post about how any or all of these fan initiatives have helped you or enriched your fan experience using the hashtag #1DFansToEllen

IMPORTANT: We need as many people as possible to do this. Email the Ellen Show >>here<< to invite her to feature these fan initiatives on her show. You do not have to be from the US; all countries are accepted. We have pre-written a letter for you (we even counted all the characters!) or you can write your own:

1D Fans Give, started in 2013, has raised over $138K for charities such as Switchboard LGBT, Doctors Without Borders & The British Asian Trust to honor the birthdays of each member of 1D. In addition to regular donations there are auctions, raffles, a fan art book, and items such as t-shirts & bracelets, one of which Harry has worn on stage. 1dfansgive.com
Take Me Home From Narnia was founded in 2013 to fight LGBTQ+phobia in the 1D fandom and launched Rainbow Direction, a campaign encouraging fans to show rainbows at concerts and on social media in 2014. With 4500 live and 22000 online participants raising LGBTQ+ visibility and creating safer spaces they got featured by the likes of MTV, Attitude, Advocate, et al. Website: rainbowdirection.com
In spring 2015, four fans took it upon themselves to run with an idea for 'releasing' “No Control” as a single. In a week, Project No Control organized a Thunderclap with 34K participants for a social media reach of over 55M & rallied fans to buy, stream and request “No Control”. This effort was a huge success, leading to worldwide media attention and a heartfelt response from the band. Twitter: 1d_street_team
