I also have no idea what this is about π one of my cosplay posts (the mikaela one) apparently got flagged for mature content and I have no idea why, like I'm fully covered what,, especially since none of my x reader posts have ever been tagged and those are definitely much more "mature" content ππ₯
Yarrr!!! you're back!!! Congrats on da graduation!! Also yez, me again-
SO! Mika is based off crows, yeah? And apparently, some crows have necrophilia to their partners...I have an idea- (is oka if u are uncomfy with it u can just ignore it if u wanna cuz like- I know some people r uncomfy with this sorta stuff- I'm just sending this in cuz I also can't remember did I request itπ΅βπ«)

Ima be fr i dont really care for shumika (or really mika in general hes kind just there) but ily akemi so Ill feed you to the best of my abilities β₯οΈ especially since youve been patiently starved for like months now I won't even ask for forgiveness this is just how it is I fear. In my defense though I actually started this a while ago and then tumbr DELETED MY DRAFT for NO reason tspmo. I had like no motivation to touch my keyboard after that but ive procrastinated long enough. Also fun fact I started university classes + my new job so we ball (im dying) I dont know if its very clear but basically mika lonely/touchstarved-> mika sees reader-> mika gets a crush/becomes obsessed-> mika murders reader and brings them home-> mika wildin. Also i mixed up the definition for necrophilia and for when you eat your dead loved ones and didnt realize until like halfway through so if you see undertones of cannibalism thats why lmao
Mika couldn't think about anything lately. His mind was always running around a million different things yet felt static on nothing at the same time. He didn't know why. It was starting to affect his performance. He knew it was, yet he still found himself constantly disassociating and staring off into the wall.
It felt like something was missing. Like he couldn't breathe right. He could breathe, yeah. But there was an uncomfortable subconsciousness to it. Like his ribs were too tight and his lungs were too constricting. His mouth twitched, his stomach churned, his eyes darted. His skin felt so dry, all the time. He was always too warm or too cold, never the right temperature. He was antsy, and he had no idea why. Then, his eyes found you.
He decided to go for a walk one day after a morning practice to try and get himself out of this funk. Anxiety can't hit a moving target, right? But it did. Oh, it did like a sack of coal. Sitting outside a cafe, drinking who knows what with a half empty plate sat in front, was what seemed to be the most interesting and shiny trinket he'd ever seen in his life. Like glitter amongst charcoal. His stomach ached and his hands twitched, but it felt different this time. His chest wasn't tight in the same way anymore. He counted in his head. One, two,, three,, was he blinking? You were looking back at him now. Oh. He wasn't, then he was walking again. Running, back to the rehearsal studio? Nope, ran right past it. Wherever he was going, he felt free. The wind whipped through his hair like ivory. Like he was drowning in air as it assaulted his throat. And he laughed. A loud, hearty, genuine, laugh.
Mika found that the static numbness in his mind was replaced with you. His mystery statue outside the cafe. All his anxious energy that before had no outlet was now fully directed onto you. It didn't take him long to memorize everything about you. Your routine, interests, information, education, health history, the list goes on. He's committed it all to brain and heart within a week. Like a hungry cat chasing an oblivious mouse across the city catacombs.
You don't even realize you're being stalked until it's too late. 2 weeks since he laid his eyes on you and you're already all over his walls. Things start appearing in places and the weight of eyes, the weight of a shadow is suddenly tugging at your lungs like your flesh is being gripped by claws in 8 different directions. You walk into a room and immediately see a small, brightly wrapped gift on the side table. It's not the first time you've found a random gift-ajacent looking thing in th past several days. You walk over to it, did someone leave it here? You're about to take it to the lost and found when you see your name is scraggly letters on the tie card. The little heart drawn beside your name is almost enough to scare you. Almost, it should have been though. You look around a little before slowly unwrapping the package, fingers stumbling around ribbon and peeling off scotch tape. After what feels like an eternity your left with a mess of ripped up paper and a rusty, clearly handmade, charm necklace weighted with more charms and little objects than you can count.
Then you look at the charms. A button, a pen cap, a small piece of fabric, a coin, wait why is that button so familiar? An earring, and pin, ect.,, Then suddenly all the little knickknacks and charms started looking familiar. The packaging sticker from your body wash. Was that a knot of hair.? The color... was it your hair..? The button, didn't your jacket lose one of the wrist button a few days ago? You thought it just gotten eaten by the dryers or something. That pen cap looked a bit too similar to the one that should match your favorite ball point..
Then you started to feel cold. Suddenly you were regretting opening your little "gift". It was like ice was being slid down the back of your neck, you were too unsettled to move. Eventually, you racked up your nerves enough to turn around and confront the rooms stail air.
"Hello?"
...
"Who's there? I know someone was here. What is this?"
...
You stood in the silence for a minute before leaving the room. Unbeknownst to you, this silent eyes were still on your back.
Mika felt like he was on cloud nine levels of caffeine. Peering out from behind a blind corner in the room, staring, watching. He was so happy you liked his gift, well, it was more like a collection of multiple gifts. You even wanted to know who gave it to you! It was him! He was worried you would care or be curious.. So this was a very happy constitution for him.
...
That flesh-gripping feeling has not left you since yesterday, if anything it's self-amplified. You walk faster, linger less, talk quicker, quieter. Mika thinks you must be like him, you're excited! He wanted to take things slow, but all this anxious energy wasn't going away anytime soon. You were out for lunch, just grabbing something quick from the gas station. Walking out with a small bag of cheap chicken when you trip. You must've been too distracted to see the break in the cement. You braced to hit the ground, but it never happened, screwing your eyes shut. Instead, there were warm arms around you, but your eyes couldn't open. What was on your face? Now you couldn't breathe. You felt yourself going down again, but this time it was slow and supported.
"Shhhhh"
A hushed but optimistic voice flooded your head. Quiet but pounding.
"I've got you, it's okay hunny, you're okay. You're mine now., its okay! let' go home,,"
You couldn't see the lip pressed grin spreading across your assailants' face as your vision went blurry. You didn't feel the knife stab straight through your body and into the one pressed behind you. You didn't feel the growing warmth growing across your abdomen, or the red stain bleeding across your clothes as you fell asleep.
Except you would never wake up again.
Mika carried your body in his arms like it was the most precious teddy bear ever crafted. His breath on your skin, the way he was looking at you as if you were the most wonderfully fascinating thing in the entire universe. It almost would have been flattering if it wasn't for the context of your current situation and the clear amount of blood circulating through his face right now. He carried you into the backseat of your car, laying you down carefully across the cushions. He slipped into the driver's seat and turned on the car, using your keys, of course. You wouldn't mind if he borrowed them. right? It was only for a little bit so he could take you home. He promised!
The drive to his apartment was long. Not that you'd ever be aware of it. When he pulled into the garage area, he was careful not to stop too quickly. He didn't want to make you nervous in the backseat since it was so dark and you'd never been to your new home before. He unbuckled your seat belt and gently picked you up again, bridal style before carrying you into the "house". It was a dingy ex motel-turned apartment complex/zhushed-up garage. But he hoped you wouldn't be too picky, he cleaned up the inside just for you! Besides, it was perfect since he knew no one could bother you two here. He laid you down so gently on the bed, propping up your head on the pillow and making sure the covers didn't fold uncomfortably underneath you.
He locked the door after setting you down, double checking the window and curtains with a hum. He took off his (and your) shoes and placed them neatly by the door. He hung up his sweater on the coat rack and walked back over to the bed. It was quick and easy (since the "apartment" was all one room). He wasn't exactly in a rush or anything, he was just excited to be with you. You were so smart and pretty,, he loved everything about you! And he was excited to share this experience with you, so you could be together forever, maybe then even the overwhelming gnaw of hunger in his gut would finally go away. That would be perfect.
He knelt over you for what felt like an eternity, just staring. Admiring. Knees planted on either side of your thighs, hands the same for your head. God, how could he not? You took his breath away. Eventually he sat back on his heals, his arms heavy from supporting his weight in that position for so long. He shook it off; he needed to focus. It would be a leave a bad impression otherwise. Ignoring the fact that your stomach had now stained the comforter, and likely mattress too, crimson, he got to work undressing you both and folding off your clothes to the side until you were both in your undergarments. His hands were shaking now, were they shaking? You just looked so bewildering. All your features, your skin, you flesh, you hair, your hands, your curves, every little thing felt like he was being lured further into the enchantment. It was almost like he blacked out. He remembered to take a picture though; he wanted to make sure he didn't forget this sight.
After that it was just fragmented bits and pieces. Kissing up your neck, hands roaming all over you so tenderly, peppering his lips across your face, pecking at your skin like he had a fever. Positioning himself between your thighs, he didn't remember when the kisses morphed into love bites. Or when the love bites became more lustful, greedy, hungry, or when they started to punchier the skin. When his face between your thighs turned from eating you out to eating you out. Lapping between your food like he was starved in a desert Havana. He shifted down again, biting at the tender flesh of your legs like they were the most savory dish to ever grace his table. He almost felt dizzy with how warm and cold and wet and warm his face was, he was so busy he forgot to breathe. Hopefully you didn't think he looked silly.
He went back to staring while he caught his breath. So far he had left himself pretty neglected aside from stripping. All of his attention had been on you alone, but he was still hungry and it was getting harder to stay focused. He repositioned himself carefully between your legs, slow as to not mess up any of his "love bites". He brought his head to rest on you chest. You were like his pillow, comforting and cold on his hot skin. He nuzzled into your ribs and collarbone for a bit. He liked the feeling of your skin, your body, your bone structure. He wanted to memorize all of it. Not just optically.
Somewhere in between your collarbone and shoulder blades he seemed to black out again. Eventually the cuddling was accompanied by rocking, then his hips joined in the motion, then his mouth. He felt his face start to hear up again. Hell. You felt so good. All of you. He wanted to burn this memory into his mind like a cold shock. His movements started to get more uneven as the nuzzling turned into kissing. The love bites co-occured with panting. His face felt wet again, it was different this time, though. The blood around his mouth from earlier had already dried. This time the cold came from his eyes. It didn't sting that bad, and it was still that "warm" kind of wet. Just not as irony. Crying? Was he crying? Why? He felt so good? Maybe that was why, his body felt like it was moving on it's on. He couldn't think anymore. He couldn't hear, either. Blissfully unaware of the sounds produced from and around him. He kept moving, like auto pilot. He buried his face into your chest once more before the weight in his own bones came crashing down into him. He layed there for a second, bleary eyed and breathing.
Right, he was breathing. You were not. That didn't matter though. He could breathe for the both of you. He sat up again, looking down at you.
There was red, everywhere. All different shades. Some was darker, the ones on the bed were more brown and burgundy. Then the ones on your upper body were more likelyer. Still glistening, still wet, still warm. For the first time in weeks, Mika felt warm. He wasn't too hot, or too cold. He was just right. Everything was just right. That angsty feeling that wouldn't leave him alone, that cosmtant buzzing behind his eyes, that uncomfortable itch under his skin, all of it was satiated. For the first time in weeks he felt calm. He wasn't hungry, or exhausted, or jittery, or anything. Even that pesky ringing in his ears had slowed down. He felt still. He was calm. Just calm.
He felt himself lay back down onto you. You wouldn't mind, right? You liked cuddling yeah, he knew you would. He closed his eyes with another tight lipped smile and held you tight. Arms wrapping around your ribcage like a teddy bear. He was complete.
He was also completely unaware of the pounding outside his door. Or the smell of blood that suffocated the entire room. Or the sounds that were heard on the other side of the walls. Or the flashing lights threatening to peak through the blinds and curtains. He was in bliss. Blissful as his breathing slowed. Blissful as the red from his own wound spilled down his torso. Blissful as the sirens outside became louder. And as the lock on the door janked. Blissful as heavy footsteps and pointed guns entered the room. Blissful through the shouting that followed them. And blissful as his breathing stopped. Blissful as he was still.
I said I was working on a project and I have finished it! I've had this in my brain since middle school when I saw someone else's shu doll on Pinterest and knew I NEEDED my own. And now many years later he is π.
Fun fact I ain't never styled a doll wig before so that was an experience. I've styled cosplay wigs before tho so I wasn't completely blind going in. If anyone wants info on how I did some parts or where I got pieces from just ask and I will gladly bestow upon you my list (I'm would never be an evil gatekeeper to the shu-lover community ππ) I also learned how to dye fabric since that red part over his blouse was originally white, then purple, then maroon. Today was a long day. It felt like so much and so little happened. You didn't realize just how close you were to the end of your bandwidth until you let your weight relax into the bedroom floor. Breathing didn't feel real: the light from your surroundings didn't fully reach your vision. Mindlessly, or maybe just subconsciously, you pulled out your phone. Your headphones were already sitting in your ears numbly, like they just fit there. You don't remember putting them in. Soon, a familiar short melody erases the thought from your mind. You're met with the home screen of your favorite game. A small smile sits itself underneath your breath, but it doesn't reach your eyes. You get a taste of it, though. A few salty tears hide down your face and into the crevice of your lips. That's surprising, you don't remember starting to cry, either.
Shu:
Shu was alerted of your arrival shortly after opening the app. He got up from his spot across the room and turned off the sewing machine. He prepared to chastise you for your tardiness: as he usually does while walking towards the front of the screen. However, today, he quickly saw his usually scolding would not be happening.
There were tears in your eyes as you looked down at him. Why? Why were there tears in his doll's eyes? For what reason do you come to him bearing sadness and grief of which he does not know the origin of? A slew of different scenarios paced through his head, like his train(1.) of thought (singular) suddenly had 19 different locomotives flooding the tracks with each of their rush hour routes.
What does one do in this situation? He can't touch you. He can't warm you in his arms or reach out to you. All he can do is stand concerned in front of you and wait for you to ask for him. Shu is not a typically patient man. Especially when it comes to.. other people. But you, ma cherie, he has more patience than a moon flower. He walks himself near the love seat in his sewing room and looks over you longingly. He'll wait for as long as you need him to, and when you're ready, all you need is call for him and he will be there.
You sit staring at the screen for a while. How much time has passed? Your curtains are shut, you don't really want to know. Just letting the water work its way through your system has helped a bit.
Mika:
Shu mentally scolds kagehira as he walks through the door, loud and energetic like a dog who's just brought their owner a stick.
"Hey teach! I got the buttons you wanted! These are the right ones, right?"
That ever-beaming smile is soon replaced by confusion as he turns his head from the love seat to you. Confusion quickly turns to worry as he sees the blank tear-stained expression on your face. He looks back over at shu with a panicked look as if saying "what happened? What do we do??" Hands up like a anxious kid.
Shu simply looks back at him calmly.
"Kagehira, lower your voice. You may place the buttons on my desk."
Mika noted the substantial lack of bite in his voice. He slowly tiptoed over to shu's sewing area and placed the bag down on the desk. He walked over to the love seat and curled up on the arm rest. Silently watching as shu lace knit beside him. Silence didn't last long though. Mika had much more patience then shu did, but that didn't mean he was good at being quiet.
"Ne ne, manager, do you know why seagulls fly over the sea? Because if they flew over the bay they would be bagels! Haha!"
He started out in a shushed voice, but it only took a whopping 3 jokes before he was back to his normal rambonxious noise level.
"Managerrrrrr, do you know how to make a tissue dance? You put a little boogie in it!"
You were starting to feel a bit better, even without ever actually leaving the homescreen. The tears weren't a steady stream anymore. Just onesies and twosies every now and then. Mikas jokes were corny, but you appreciated how he tried.
Nazuna:
Nazuna didn't particularly want to make the trip to the Valkyrie studio. Everyone was busy preparing for the next festival and Nazuna got sent on side quest duty to collect signatures from unit leaders. He stood in front of the door befor giving a hard knock and going in.
"Why don't you play poker in the jungle? Because there are too many cheetahs!"
Oh mother of earth what am I walking in on. Shu was sitting in the corner of the sofa, half a yard of lace growing from his hands. Meanwhile Mika sat crisscross on one of the arm rests nervously spitting corny jokes at a mile a minute. Shu side eyes Nazuna as he makes his way over to the couch, and unintentionally into of the homescreen view, looking at the papers in his hand.
"I need you to sign this for the festival Itsuki, why are you both staring like that?"
Nazuna turns behind him and sees you looking at him. Dried tears down your cheeks, red eyes, rosie nose, tired. Well that explains the apprehensive atmosphere. The papers can wait a bit. He's already gotten all the other units, and there's isnβt an ouncs of guilt in his conscience for making eichi wait.
Shu sets his lace down on the coffee table and motions for Nazuna to hand him the document. In a second it's in his lap with violet eyes scanning it carefully, flipping through the pages while the paper ruffles against the staple. He pulls an expensive pen out of his pocket and signs it in one swift motion. The document is already offered back to Nazuna withbone hand while the other is repositioning French stationary back in his shirt pocket.
Nazuna awkwardly stands with his back to the homescreen, glancing over his shoulder at Valkyries manager anxiously. Mika isn't a fan of the sudden taciturn air.
"Hey hey, Nito-nii, what do you call a angry carrot?"
HIIIIIIIIIIIII SORRY THIS LITERALLY TOOK FOREVER IVE BEEN BUSY AS HELL LATELY BUT I PROMISE ILL TRY TO FEED YOU RAHHHHHHHGHGHGHGHHH πΉπΉI survived midterms yayay so I've got like 2 weeks before graduation guhh anyways I really wanted to convey the utter toxic possessive shu that exists in my mind like I dont think you realize just how batshit cray-cray he is in my brain. Mika is lowkey like a background character he's mentioned i just dont care about him, im sorry ANYWAYS. this isn't as long as i originally wanted it to be but i promise i will be back with more for you soon trust
The sewing machine was the only thing keeping you sane from the suffocating silence inside that bedamned room. How long had it been since you got in here? It felt like months. He'd long since moved on from draping fabric on you. His pins were replaced with a basting stich across each fold in the cloths ever-building silhouette. Now you were sitting again as you watched him across the room, hunched over feeding fabric through the sewing machine like it was second nature.
Your eyes landed back on the doll and the box they were holding. What the hell were you doing here. You'd moved on from the "why" type questions, who is this man. What all did he intend to do with you here. Where was his stage partner? Where were the venue security guards? How long has he been "interested" in you for? It was warm. You felt like your head was spinning as a dull clump formed in your throat. It was like that dry nausea feeling that came before blacking out. Uh oh. oh. Oh. A numb thud and you felt your head hit the velvet cushioning on the couch. The whirring from the sewing machine stopped. You would've sworn you saw the figure stand up across the room right before the dark static fully consumed your vision. But that dull warmth was the only thing you could focus on.
(third person switch/shu pov)
It was difficult to stay focused on the road when your doll was right there. Sleeping so heavily in the backseat as the car drummed along the pavement. It had been an hour since your little "road trip" started. Usually, you weren't a fan of driving, since other drivers tend to annoy you. However, at this hour in the night there were close to no other cars on the road. At least none on these roads, out in the sticks anyway. It felt impossible not to wander glances at them in the rearview mirror, all tied up with ribbon and drugged unconscious, limp like a doll.
Finally, after what felt like ages you arrived at your favorite set of familiar scenery. Trees and brush became illuminated by headlights as the car passed by. You turned down through the forestry and arrived at your personal Ogygia. After pulling in front to the driveway you put the car in park and got out. Even as the nights' dark engulfed you, the feeling of being home made you breathe out a full breath for the first time in several days. Daily life was so suffocating; you were forced to constantly use short shallow breaths for every action. Even on stage, singing felt more like dry screaming to an audience of animals that don't know how to listen than actually singing. But here, your lungs were cold and ribs proliferate. The small of your back could relax, and the wind messing up your hair didn't have to be seen as an issue.
You opened the backseat door and unbuckled the seatbelt that wrapped around your dolls body. Out like a light; cute. You positioned them in your arms then carried them up the concrete porch steps and into the house. The slow rise and fall of their chest felt so,, comfortable. Holding your dolls had always felt right, Madonee knew this fact quite well. But a breathing doll, a warm doll; having their weight fully relaxed against your chest as they breathed in and out. It was perfect.
You carried them into the manor before setting them down on the cabriole in the entrance hall. Once satisfied with their placement, you walked back out to the car. After removing your keys from the ignition, you grabbed the bag of material in one arm and lifted Madonee in the other. You stood still for a moment in the driveway, moon staring down at you across a clear sky. Sparse clouds, a sleuth of stars, and cold autumn air. Perfect. A click of the key fob and the vehicle was locked. Vwallah, back into the house you go.
Your new doll was right were you left them, not as if they wouldn't be. They wouldn't be waking up for a while. You set the bag down on a door side table and Madonee in her usual seat by the piano room. Oh, how beautiful they looked there. Soft icy light flittered through the window and atop their skin, such perfect skin. You wanted to ruin it. Oh how wonderful they would look with a couple mulberry bruises blotted across their limbs. Not that you would ever hit them. You were far above doing something so unsavory as to beat another person. You had other methods of customizing your dolls that worked perfectly well without acting like such a beast.
You carried them up the staircase in your arms, careful not to let their head lull back. You had a special room prepared just for them. Youβd been keeping track of anything they seemed to be interested in while thumbing through shops. Little knickknacks and trinkets to fill out furniture type pieces; custom wallpaper and flooring adorned the room. You got a glimpse of yourself in the grand hall mirror. The man looking back it you seemed quite pleased with himself, he hummed and kept walking towards the door. You set your new doll down gently on the bed. Watching their body sink into the comforter so peacefully, like snow white in her coffin.
You were tempted to place a kiss on their lips, but decided against it for the time being. First was getting them out of those stale clothes and into something more befitting of your doll. You weren't finished with the ensemble you began in the dressing room yet. You'd dress them in it after they woke. For now, a simple set of silk night wears would suffice. A rich cream long sleeve shirt with flat pearl buttons down the front and a matching pair of silk pants. Of course, your name was embroidered on the back collar tag, nothing more, nothing less. You replaced their undergarments as well, not to mention those shoes. Yuck. Sneakers, really? No matter, they wouldn't have any need for sportswear now, let alone running shoes. Underwear, socks, shoes, you discarded the pile in a hamper to be burned later when the furnace was empty.
Once you finished changing them you pulled back the covers and positioned them in the center of the bed, making sure their back was comfortably propped up against the pillows. You rolled up their sleeve gently before walking over to the bedside table. You grabbed a pair of single use rubber gloves from the drawer and double checked the ratios on the iv monitor. You would be leaving your doll alone for a bit while you finished up some work. You didn't want to take any chances of things going.. unfortunately.
Lining up a sterile needle to their vein accurately would be difficult for most people, given the dim lighting in the bedroom, but you had practiced plenty of times on cadavers by now so it didn't take too long for your eyes to adjust properly. Graceful. That was the only word that came to mind as a rubellite pearl dissipated and streamed down their arm from where thick steel met their flesh. You secured the iv to their arm with some medical tape before wrapping the area in a satin bandage. Watching liquid fill the plastic tube and travel up their vein was therapeutic in a way. It put you at ease, knowing they wouldn't be waking up until unless you willed it. They're body was fully under your control. And even when if they did wake up, they wouldn't be able to move without your interference. Heavy limbs, dull joints: conscience of every piece of their own flesh, every minum of their warm blood. Your doll would learn quickly any strenuous effort to move on their own would only hurt ever them; deplete their energy and ache when they wake again.
How long were you standing there? Snap out of it. You didn't have any clocks in this room, or windows, but it felt like you'd been staring at the iv for hours. Maybe just long minutes, whatever. It was too long. You had things to do. aside from grin stupidly at your belongings. Tsk, so greedy. After securing their other hand to the beds metal underframing, you pulled them covers up and tucked it them in. You lifted the covers from the bottom of the bed now, using a second chain to cuff the adjacent ankle. You finished fluffing and fiddling with the blankets and walked over towards the door, taking one last gape at your doll before locking the door and striding down the hall.
There was no need to walk in a rush. Your steps were slow on the carpet flooring. You still needed to change into your own night clothes. Sleep began to call for you, its melody echoing around the air and glass like sleet. You had costumes, and commissions to work on, songs to edit, responsibilities that you don't particularly have the energy to care about now. Nearly 4 am and you still hadn't showered since before the concert. 'How disgusting' you thought. Before any work got done that should be your first order of business. A bath, a fresh set of clothes, some cold tea, and maybe a sandwich. That sounds nice.
5 am, you were in your own bed now. The window's open. The cold air felt good on your skin. Ice was so relaxing, that's why you liked ice baths so much. Kagehira didn't care for them, even after you explained the health benefits of indulging in such submersion, he just complained that they're "too cold" and "not fun". Nazuna felt similarly, except he refused to even get in one. You however could have stayed in that tub for hours; prolonged exposure wasn't good for your body, so you limited yourself to no more than 20 minutes. You flipped through the pages of a book mindlessly, work could wait until morning. Well, I guess it already is, but you'd sleep well into midday. It's not like you had anywhere to be (though kagehira might say otherwise). No one could get you here. It was free. You sink into the duvet comforter, feather pillows letting you plumet down like an anchor. You set the book on the table and turned off the lamp. Even with your eyes closed, you could feel slivers of moonlight settle on your skin. 'What a beautiful night' you thought, it really was perfect.

Attending an idol concert was much more nerve wracking than you thought it would. What do you wear? What do you bring? You browsed online for a little while, watching some of those "what to do for your first concert" videos. This led to you trying on every piece of clothing in your possession and spending an unprecedented amount of time on your hair and face. During your phase of research, you learnt that the man from the crepe shop was the leader of this idol group. And that he was apparently very particular about appearances and aesthetics, which did not help calm your nerves.
As you stood in front of your bedroom mirror several trains of thought tracked through your head. Why did he give you that ticket? Why did he know your favorite flower? Why'd he give you that phone number? Why'd he smile and sit with you? Why you?
You'd never thought there was anything special about you, painfully average and unambitious. Yet there you were, in front of a concert venue with a little bag and your ticket. You didn't bring a lot of stuff, just the main things those videos recommended. Tissues, chapstick, wallet, phone, charger, ect,.. You decided to bring the note and flower as well, tucked into a corner of your wallet. The concert was supposed to start at 7pm, but since you were a "VIP" you had early entry to your section. You shyly made your way through a crowd of people waiting in line to enter the concert venue, and walked up to the ticket help booth. You showed the worker at the booth your ticket, expecting them to point you in a direction of where to go, but instead they looked a bit shocked. The woman mumbled something about vip tickets for this unit being expensive and hard to get. After a minute she came out from behind her booth and motioned for you to follow her. You could feel eyes on your back again, not the nice kind. Regardless, you followed the ticket woman inside the venue to a separated, seated section near the front of the stage.
Your seat was right in the middle, a perfect close-up view of the stage. Once the woman looked over your ticket again and was satisfied you had found your seat, she left back to the booth. You realized pretty quickly that you were the only one here at the moment. You decided to sit down and get comfortable, since there was still almost an hour since the concert began. The time passed slowly and ridiculously fast all at once. You took in the size of the venue, watching the other sections slowly fill up with excited fans and noisy crowds. However, the trickle of people entering the vip section was becoming a bit too nonexistent for your taste.
It was 6:58 pm and the lights in the venue were dimmed. There was an instrumental track of background music playing that signaled the concert was about to start. You looked around the (very empty) vip section, there were only 2 other people sitting down and neither of them were close to you. It felt like there was more venue staff and security in the vip area than actual attendees. The rest of the concert crowd had filled up the dome to the brim. The building was stirring with excited cheers and vibrant light sticks. It was almost overwhelming.
At 7 pm on the nose the music paused and the lights all cut. A second later, a spotlight shot towards the middle of the stage, and the venue went silent. A suffocating sense of anticipation filled up the dome until a violin cut through the ether, two silhouettes emerging from the stage floor. The crowd roared and the silhouettes began to move. You were entranced. The way sound traveled across the scene, echoing in resonance. The way the lights danced with the two silhouettes on their platform, how the instruments sang in charity with the voice, it was all so beautiful.
You could barely tell when the songs changed, the way their performance flowed so seamlessly between each portion of the showbill. They looked like angels telling a story from the heavens. You were in such a trance; you didn't realize that the angels in question were getting closer to the front of the stage. It wasn't until one of the two was knelt down singing right in the center, almost leaning off the platform that you snapped out of it. Because there he was. The man from the crepe shop, knelt down staring straight at you, his face only a meter from your own as he sang. Those gentle eyes, it was that same adoring smile. Then in an instant he was gone, back to wisping across the stage with his partner.
At the end of the show the angels united in the center of the stage, announcing that they would be performing their last song. Even though they were further back, it still felt like he was speaking directly to you. The violins arose and piano emersed. Once again the venue was filled with the angel's song. You felt like you were completely hypnotized by the whole show, 8p pm came and went but you were still in your seat. The lights came on, and by 8:17 most of the crowd had filed out of the venue. Even the other people in the vip section had packed up and left. It was just you and a couple of the dome's faculty members lingering around the stage.
Suddenly you felt your phone buzz. You looked down and noticed a text message from an unknown number.
"Did you enjoy the show?"
And that was all it read. You looked around, puzzled. You didn't tell anyone you knew that you were coming tonight, let alone that you had a ticket. You checked the sender's profile and realized that the number matched the one on your note. .no? That didn't make any sense. You were just misremembering the digits, or did you accidentally text the number earlier without realizing it?? You dug through your bag to pull out the note and saw that yes, you did remember the digits right. You felt a slight gust of air surround you as your mind began to race. There you sat staring down at your phone intently, should you respond.? Did you ghost add the number or something and just not remember it? No,, That wasn't right, you were sure you hadn't touched it before.
"Look behind you my dear"
Your eyes were glued to the phone in your lap as you felt a chill creep up your spine. You were scared to turn around, every hair on the back of your neck was telling you not to. You stayed still, frozen. Not a single disc shifted, not a single vertebra moved to turn behind you. Like a deer in the road, except the phone screen illuminating your lap wasn't the only headlight that threatened you.
"...well, did you enjoy the show?"
You felt a soft breath on your ear as a hand entered your scope of vision. Suddenly you were forced to move, your chin being guided gently to look over your shoulder. There he was, leaning over you and smiling that same soft, adoring smile from the crepe shop. Those eyes staring at you with an emotion that was foreign.
"You really are so cute, doll"
The man stood up straight and positioned himself in front of you, plucking the phone out of your lap. Before you could process what was going on he was already typing and scrolling through it.
"Hey- wait-"
You tried to grab your phone back out of his hands, but he simply sidestepped your reach and relocated himself beside your chair. He chuckled a little under his breath. You hadn't realized it at first, but he had changed clothes. It was still clearly a well-made outfit, but much more casual than what he wore on stage. He smiled down at you again and hummed, seeming content with himself. With one hand he slipped the phone back in your bag, and with the other he lifted your own. Grazing his thumb over your knuckles gently, as if was inspecting that state of your joints and veins. Once his hand was completely freed from your phone he returned it to your face. Caressing your cheek and examining your eyes. He looked at you so intently, there was something else though. Something underlaying those assaying violet eyes.
For a moment you thought you were getting pranked. You couldn't understand what on earth was going on. Why was this guy so interested with you? You weren't the kind of person this wattpad shit happened to, so what was the deal here. Almost like he was cutting off your thoughts on purpose, he lugged you by the hand and forced you out of your seat. You were both standing, then moving, walking? Walking. Where? You had no idea, but he seemed very sure. He looked straight ahead, pulling you along behind him out of the vip section and towards a backstage area. All of the remaining staff and security were conveniently nowhere to be seen. You two walked down the quiet, empty halls underneath the stage until you were in front of what looked like a dressing room. The plaque on the door read "Itsuki Shu" in bold golden letters. You heard the latch click as he opened the door.
"Hey wait- what are we doing here I can't-"
The man merely looked at you again, smiling that same gentle smirkish smile before turning you in through the doorway. Without skipping a breath the door had clicked behind you. He sat down in a chair by the vanity and motioned for you to sit down across from him. You looked around the room, clothes and fabric were draped everywhere. There was a single lamp on in the corner and no windows, not that there'd be any light from one anyways since it was already night. Then there was this doll and a little box next to it. It looked like an antique, but the clothes were clearly new. You suddenly became very aware of how small the room was, and the fact that there was no one else around for however long. Where was that other singer? He had to be around somewhere. .right? You weren't totally alone with a stranger in a locked room with no windows, right..? Your chest started to feel tight, like the air in here was too thick for your lungs. Maybe the panic was showing on your face, because he seemed to catch on very quickly.
"Please don't cry, sweet love, I promise there is nothing to be afraid of here."
His eyes changed to almost a pained expression, like a doting mother trying to comfort their child. He walked over to you and knelt down in front of you, cupping your cheeks tenderly in his hands. He looked at you with another underlying emotion in his gaze again, a slight shift.
though you do look quite pretty with that look in your eyes
He smiled at you again, ghosting a kiss over the bridge of your nose before pulling back. He walked over to a coffee table that had some fabric laying on it. He picked up a few pieces and felt them over.
"You never did tell me dear how you enjoyed the show, was it to your liking?"
You nodded and mumbled out a reply. He seemed pleased with that answer, even though you weren't sure he could hear you. After a few minutes he turned back towards you, he motioned for you to stand up which you did. Silently, he held up different fabrics to your body, folding them in different ways and swathing them across your figure. You didn't really know what to do, but he seemed so focused. All you could do was hold still while he arranged the cloth in different ways. You let your eyes land back on the doll, sitting pretty in the corner of the room with a little git box in its lap.
"Mademoiselle."
"..what?"
He chuckled a little.
"I can see she has caught your attention, my Mademoiselle."
"...uhm, the doll.?"
"Yes, the doll. Lovely isn't she?
His cheeks had a dust of pink on them, maybe talking about the doll made him happy. You nodded slowly, his eyes peaking up at you before returning back to his fabric.
"You are quite lovely as well, you know. You captured my eye almost instantly."
"oh"
Oh. You felt stupid. Was that seriously the best reply your mind could create? You stood quietly again, he was so close to you. Why was he so close? Oh, right the fabric. When did he take the pins out.? You looked down and suddenly there was a whole outfit mapped out on your body. You were in too deep now. You could feel your face heating up.
"Uhm, I should really get going home-"
"Why? It's not like there's anyone waiting for you back there."
...what
He said it so monotonously, not looking up from the cloth for a second.
"You would be such a beautiful doll, you know. You're already so encaptivating as is."
How your throat betrayed you, your mouth felt entirely dry. No response, but it didn't seem to faze him in the slightest.
"Well, am I wrong? Do you not live alone? ...I swear that boy can't do anything correctly"
He clicked his tongue, yet the second part came out more like a whisper. He cursed under his breath, tugging at a pin on your hip. You looked down at him, did he not realize he pricked himself with the needle? His finger was dripping blood yet he didn't seem concerned with that at all.
"Answer me, doll. Is there something in the way of you staying here? Someone in the way.?"
He was right, you did in fact live alone. How did he know that, how did he have your phone number without you giving it to him. How did he know your favorite flower. He seemed to take your silence as a response.
"I see then, so there shouldn't be an issue then."
He returned to his pinning and stitching, still unfazed by the blood staining the fabric.
Gender neutral reader, it makes sense for shu to be a bit of a yandere at least in my mind lowkey. This is more war-era shu because gaahhhh I'm such a sucker for prewar valk, I live for the melodramaaa. also this is kinda long srry
How possessive he is depends more or less on what exactly it is you're insecure about. He's still possessive as all hell regardless, you're his doll. You belong to him, you're perfect, what more do you need to think about? He just wants to lock you up in his dollhouse and keep you there forever. Unfortunately, humans are a bit too big for that, so a countryside manor will have to do.
A small, Victorian style manor in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains, water and forest. Meticulously furnished, of course, with an astounding garden. It's his little secret, no one knows how or when he had it built, or that it was even built at all, let alone where he got the money for it. Mika found out due to a little snooping (stalking) but otherwise not a soul knows of its existence. Shu's personal little neverland.
Meeting shu was an accident, the first time anyways. You've always enjoyed window-shopping around old thrift stores and antique shops. One day you so happened to be looking around at some old vintage dolls in a local antique mall when you noticed another person enter the section. You stepped away so they could browse without you cramping up the aisle, gaze glued ahead as you walked to a different part of the shop. You didn't even notice the eyes on your back as you maneuvered your way out of the section.
The second time was maybe a month later, in a different shop. You had decided to flip through discs at a secondhand record store to kill some time, it was pretty empty in there. It was quiet, nice. That's one of the things you liked about box shops like this, they were never very busy and had a comfy feel to them.
You heard the little bell chime when the front door opened, but didn't really acknowledge it. As you continued to thumb around at old tapes and records, you passively noticed the tall man in the other corner of the store. He was staring at an old Columbia Gramophone the shop had on display. Couldn't blame him, it was pretty cool, and in nice shape too. The thing about gramophones is that they've got these big metal horns that reflect and amplify soundwaves coming from the record. They also reflect their surroundings though, at least if they're polished and well kept, like a mirror. It was well placed too, in the shop. Nice and high on a shelf in the front right corner, you could see the whole stores layout reflected in that shiny metal music player.
The entire rest of the time you were in that shop the man didn't seem to lift his eyes off the gramophone. While you walked around the store, fingering through cases on the shelves and boxes on the ground, you never once noticed him move from his spot. You kind of forgot the man was there after a minute or two, since it was so quiet.
The third time was a few weeks later at an old secondhand bookstore. You liked these kind of book shops because they usually had little cozy nook where you could read. Not to mention they were so much more affordable than buying books firsthand. You'd found an old copy of one of your favorite classics and decided to sit down and read for a while. How long did "a while" last for? By the time you found a good stopping point the sky was already a different shade of color outside, so maybe a few hours or so? Time flies when you're engrossed in a book I guess. You returned the book to its place on the shelf and left the shop, ready to go home and take a snooze before dinner. Not once did you notice the man 'reading' a few shelf lengths away from you.
The fourth time wasn't at an secondhand shop, but a crepe place. There's a lot of little in-the-wall food shops along streets the closer you get to the city. That sweet tooth of yours was out for blood, and crepes sounded so so good. It was a bit busier than you would have liked it, though. Every table in the shop was full, you had to scout out a table in the back that had just gotten cleared off and snag it before anyone else could sit down. But that just meant it had to be good, right? You ordered a cinnamon-honey-caramel crepe with a hot chocolate to dine in. Ding ding ding! We have a winner! You were in fact correct; it was very very good.
You were a few bites into your crepe when someone approached your little table in the back and asked if they could sit down with you. Without looking up from your food you nodded, you kind of felt guilty hogging a whole table to yourself when the place was clearly hopping. You heard the chair across from you pull out as the stranger sat down. After a minute or two you figured you should acknowledge the person in front of you. The man was tall, even sitting down you figured he had to be around 5'10 or so. He was nicely dressed, too, with a well steamed blouse and an expensive looking watch on his right wrist. There was something familiar in his presence, but you couldn't put your finger on it. Whatever, probably just your imagination. He had a ham and cheese sandwich croissant and a cup of tea.
He offered you a small smile when you glanced at him, forcing you to make eye contact for a second before you shot your gaze back down to your food. Did he just chuckle.? You swear you just heard him breath out a "cute," but when you peaked back up he had the teacup held up to his lips. Shake it off hun, it was probably just one of the couples from a nearby table, Now that you think about it though,, there were a lot of couples in this place.
The rest of your snack time went by in silence, at least from you and your company. The rest of the cafe was noisy as all hell with happy chatter and people. All that sound seemed to fade into the background though, you could feel the man's eyes on you. It wasn't a suffocating feeling, but you could certainly feel your face heating up a bit. It was just steam form the hot chocolate, yeah, that's why your face felt hot. Yeah
Whether it was intentional or not, you picked off the rest of your crepe very slowly, maybe because finishing it meant you'd have to acknowledge the person across from you again. Lucky for you, he decided to make the first move. As he got up from his seat he offered you another small smile, sharing eye contact with you one last time before walking away. You noticed there was a piece of paper folded underneath his empty teacup. You were pretty positive he left it for you, but it still took you a minute to work up the courage for you to actually open it. Inside was a pressed flower, a single vip ticket to a concert, and what looked like a phone number written on the inside flap.
It'd been an hour since you got home, but you were still thinking about the man from the crepe shop. The concert ticket and note sitting on your bedside table, tauntingly. What the hell was that? You had looked up the name on the ticket, "Valkryie" in wine red letters with a little gear on the end. Never hear of them before, then again you'd never really listened to idols. Was this some method of trying to recruit new fans or something? "This person's eating alone in a shop full of people on dates, easy target." Is that what he was thinking? But that wasn't it. There was something else in his eyes when he smiled at you, and that weird sense of familiarity that you couldn't shake. Then there was the pressed flower. You laid on your back in bed, holding the flower above you. How the hell did this guy know what your favorite flower was? There's no way that was a coincidence. Advertising ploy my ass, that flower wasn't even native to where you lived, let alone in season to bloom. You debated texting the number on the paper, raking it over in your head, over and over and over again. Why would a fancy handsome idol want anything to do with you?? You weren't that attractive, at least you didn't think so.
The concert was set for this weekend, maybe you'd go and decide afterwards what to do.
