Alex Haige, quoted in Creative Review, says “Designers, in my view can’t be bothered to look through sample books at fonts in their bare form, because you don’t get a grasp of how to use the font.” he adds “The idea with our Little Black Book series is to show the font but more importantly how to use them well.” he adds, “I want designers to be inspired by the layouts, to look at a spread in the book and decide that’s what they’re going to use”

It’s a well presented little booklet but I found that I skipped through the 34 typefaces all to quickly — some are simply an alphabet specimen. However it would make a nice giveaway to accompany a purchase.
