AI transparency statement
With recent conversations around AI-generated art, I want to be clear about my process.
I do not use AI to create my finished artwork. All final images are fully painted by hand in Clip Studio Paint.
I may use AI-generated images strictly as reference material, similar to photo references. AI is never used as a base, paint-over, or any part of the final output. I do believe AI can be a useful tool for learning, inspiration, and process breakdowns, but it does not replace the time, skill, or labor involved in creating original artwork.
The two pieces shown here (Maul and Vincent) are characters I’ve worked on in the past and recently revisited. These updates are part of my current exploration of style, though I’ll likely simplify future pieces due to the time investment required for work at this level of detail.
For transparency, I’ve included screenshots showing the full layer stacks for both files, with references on the left and the painted artwork on the right. (Vincent is still a WIP at this time.)
Thank you for supporting artists who spend hours, days, and months creating something by hand.
