IM LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH LEVERAGE BUT NO ONE UNDERSTANDS THIS IS MY FAVORITE THING EVER
I UNDERSTAND. Leverage is the best thing ever!
And thank you for your support for this blog!
Oh, I understand, too. I think it was the best written, best acted, best produced series EVER. Why? Because they did three things exceptionally well: they illuminated a number of the social challenges of today and clearly pointed toward why those challenges exist and what might be done about them; they gave us very rare, very paced and credible character learning, development and growth; and by doing so, showed us how lost, damaged, criminals who were masters of crime could redeem themselves and feel good about it without ever being hokey or preachy. It also gave us strong women characters, and the PoC character was ‘the smartest man any of them had ever met’ - contrary to being the thug so commonly portrayed by mainstream media, he was violence averse as well. Everyone was damaged. And everyone came out whole. Brilliant show and, last but not least, it was endlessly, always entertaining.
Yes, yes, and yes! Leverage deserves all the credit and more.

Leverage was a masterpiece. No character was pigeon holed. They all had jobs but learned to accept portions of each other’s. Relied on each other’s skills without regard to gender. Romantic relationships were never the main focus. Mutual respect was throughout even when a character was having a hard time they still trusted them. It was a beautiful family. I just loved everything about it.
The Three Strikes Job
Culpepper: But I had nothing to do with it.
Nate: He has a kid! He has a son! He almost died!
Culpepper: I know, I know, I did nothing!
Nate: Do you understand he almost died?!
Hardison: Yeah, Nate, I bought you some time, but right about now, we got a whole army of five-o coming down on us. It's a big day. Big, big day for us.

The Future Job
Eliot: Yeah, well, I think we used up all our luck on finding this place.
Hardison: Wait, hold - hold - man, you know what? It ain't luck, okay? Finding the perfect place to end the treasure hunt is a testimony to my intellectual prowess.
[Eliot drops a box on Hardison's foot]
Hardison: Ow!
Eliot: What? It's baby clothes.
Hardison: It says books, man!
The Future Job
Wilson: You had them eating out of your hand. I've never seen anything like it.
Rand: You want to know what the trick is?
Wilson: Yeah.
Rand: It's confidence. You believe what you're saying, and they'll believe it, too. It doesn't matter how many misses, because it's the hits that they'll remember.
The Future Job
Hardison: Nate had me rig the table with a mild electrical current.
Eliot: You electrocuted him?
Nate: Yes, I did, it helps sell the bit.
Parker: I approve.
Nate: Thanks, Parker.
Eliot: No, her agreeing with you is not a good thing.
The Future Job
[Rand's psychic abilities upset Parker, who runs out of the room]
Tara: Damn. He is good.
Hardison: He should be shot.
The Iceman Job
Hardison: Sheila, not making it in tonight. Yeah, work thing, bugger all.
Sophie: Hardison? Are you calling me in character?
Hardison: I told you, butternut, it's work. I can't get out of it.
Sophie: What accent is that? Ooh, ooh, you - you've been nabbed.
The 12-Step Job
Hardison: It's, uh, a computer bomb. I know computers. Computer bomb, um...we gotta - we gotta reboot the system! Yeah.
Eliot: You want me to kick it?
Hardison: God, I'm gonna die.
The Wedding Job
Eliot: Hardison, how am I supposed to get out of the FBI offices with a box full of surveillance tapes, huh?
Hardison: Punch somebody!
Eliot: Oh, I'm gonna punch somebody!
The Nigerian Job
Hardison: It's a bone conduction earpiece mic, works off the vibrations in your jaw. You can hear everything.
Eliot: You're not as useless as you look.
Hardison: I don't even know what you do.
The Nigerian Job
Hardison: Yeah, it’s completely safe, it’s just, you know, you might experience nausea, weakness in your right side, stroke, strokiness.
Eliot: You're precisely why I work alone.
The Nigerian Job
Eliot: [about Parker] That's twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag!
The Nigerian Job
Hardison: Anybody else notice how hard we rocked last night?
Eliot: Yeah, well, one show only. No encores.
Parker: I already forgot your names.
