Been thinking about this for a while and finally decided to share a couple of little headcanons about Lev that are complementing each other. First, he has HUGE eyes. Yeah, I understand that it sounds far-fetched, given that there are tons of characters in Fate that have big (if not bigger) eyes due to style. But there's one thing I was wondering about for a while since I got into FGO. Why Lev (not Flauros) was always walking around with his eyes closed? I mean he did open them from time to time but mostly they're closed! At first I thought it was Flauros' influence in order to hide that Levs eyes have strange red dots inside that indicate demonic posession. But then in the Lostroom OVA Lev opens his eyes during conversation with Olga, Mash and Romani. And that leads me to another headcanon. Lev (the real one) is self-conscious about his looks. And by that I don't mean he's shy or embarrassed of his traits (he has also huge hands). I think that while growing up, people with whom he had conversations would find his owl-like eyes unsettling and creepy. And since it could affect conversations on work-related matters, Lev taught himself to walk around with closed eyes. And he may open them around people only when he knows they won't be disturbed by this trait. This also can be his non-verbal sign of trust. You know, something like cat's slow blinking.
