Helping Solomon reconnect with his humanity.
Masterlist
Spending so much time amidst demons and angels, and not having a stable place to stay up in the human world was not something out of the norm for Solomon. He had gotten used to the chaos of an unstructured life, fluctuating between places as if it was the easiest thing to do.
Until you came around.
It all started a few days before the exchange program ended. Everyone had prepared a farewell party.
"So, what country do you live in?" You asked with curiosity as you sipped on demonus.
Solomon's smile made you sigh. The sorcerer had a look in his eye that told you he was going to give you the most confusing answer known to mankind.
"I'm a little all over the place" he answered.
"So, you're homeless?" That earned you a heartfelt laugh from the man. It wasn't that far from reality.
A long, drawn out sigh left you. "You can stay at my place. I have a spare room."
And so, it all started.
Solomon survived on quick meals most of the time. He employed magic to accelerate things, often resulting in unknown masses of food.
So, when he was holed up into the room you gave to him, studying a new manuscript he found, the smell of food made his stomach instantly rumble. He hadn't smelled the homely scent of human meals in a really long time.
Naturally, the smell called to him. He stood up, groaning as his back cracked uncomfortably. The sight that met his eyes when he left the room made him freeze momentarily.
It was already dark outside. Your living room was illuminated with warm lights coming from small lamps, softly casted into the place. Your couch had a crocheted blanket folded across it. The television was on, and the dinner was set for two at the table. You stood to one side, mumbling to yourself as you chose what to watch on the screen.
When you noticed him, you perked up.
"There you are! Did you even eat anything today?"You asked casually, moving to sit down. You motioned to the chair in front wordlessly.
When he sat down, he took a proper look at you. Freshly out of the shower, fuzzy pajamas on. Your features were tired but still interested.
"I may have skipped a meal or two"He admitted, taking in the sight of the soup. A reach, creamy soup with a splash of cream sat in front of him. When was the last time he ate something like this?.
He hid his expression well as he took a sip of it. The flavours exploded in his mouth, bringing memories of times long past and of people long gone.
"Jeez, you should really learn to eat better! Just because your immortal doesn't mean you should stop taking care of your health!" Your scolding broke him out of the past. He smiled, moving to take another sip of the soup. Hopefully it would wash away the knot at his throat.
"It's delicious. Thanks for looking out for me"
