I think Heated Rivalry just helped to start the repair of the Byler shaped hole in my heart. 🥹

We were so robbed of a Catradora moment between Will and Mike. Like what do you mean there wasn't a scene of the hivemind almost killing Will when Vecna gets his head cut off, which then causes Mike to have to proclaim his love for Will in order to save him. Bonus points with Will saying "you love me?" Just like Adora. Inject it. This is canon to me, I don't even care.

In my head (5-10 years after the finale), Mike goes to NYC to visit Nancy (she now lives there and is becoming well known for journaling and reporting). Mike is in a cafe drinking a coffee, and guess who walks in, Will. At first, he doesn't see him, but then he hears Will ordering and recognizes the voice. Then they reunite and fall in love, and Byler happens because there is no other ending to their story other than Byler. Live, laugh, love Byler.
