I'm alive. And well.... ish. Currently suffering from some vicious cold. No updates? I've been finishing 4 briefs. Handed in 2 this week and another 2 next week! I'm still finishing Kitty so check the previous post where I've linked my separate blog for that one. ALSO after hand in I'm going to be uploading all my work up on here and general doodles and such, so look out for that.
The song above is good. Give it a listen.
New work on the link above. My brief was one story, 3 narratives and I've decided to resurrect my Kitty character. I'm making a comic, stop motion and poster in 3 different perspectives. Fun times.
For our house party - self initiated! It does happen. If rarely.
Did this heart character originally for my CV/identity logo. But it's nearly Valentines day (blergh) and I fancied being douche-y and making my own Facebook cover, so here it is.
SYSTEM
Well I got my marks back for all the editorial images I posted earlier. I got 66! Yay. Going to refrain from using 'chuffed' because I use it WAY too much. So back to the system of being creative and sticking to the marking criteria. Hey! Don't pretend it doesn't matter. Le sigh. Wish it didn't.
SNOW PO
I'VE MOVED
It's been awhile and a lot has changed. I should probably tell you I've switched from publishing pathway to image-making. Still figuring out my style but now you know the direction I'm going down.
This was my 'collectible' book I made during my time in publishing. It covers the story of typewriters to touch-pads.
I got 60 for this and I'm pretty chuffed with that considering it was my first 'proper' project for second year.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
Relationship between cats and dogs with their owners.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
When cleaning her house one day in 2003, a 32-year-old Israeli woman was unlucky enough to have a cockroach leap into her open mouth. Things only got worse, however, when the metal fork she was using to try and scoop the creature out slipped from her fingers and almost choked her to death. Though surgeons managed to successfully remove the cutlery, the cockroach was believed to have been naturally digested and thus irretrievable.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
Earlier this month a Massachusetts man was shocked to find a pea plant growing in one of his lungs.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
Eating 10 magnets and 20 steel balls caused an American girl to suffer such extreme injuries that Indiana doctors compared them to “gunshots” or “stab-like holes.” Eight-year-old Haley Lents said she had eaten the objects – parts from a toy called Magnetix – because they “looked like candy.” She was given emergency surgery, and was deemed lucky to be alive by doctors.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
In 2007, an 18-year-old Chicago teenager suffering from trichophagia – the compulsion to eat one’s own hair – was admitted to hospital complaining of abdominal pains and vomiting. She was found to have a hairball weighing a whopping 4.5kg blocking her entire stomach.
NEWSPAPER EDITORIAL BRIEF:
Article about women having more confidence at work.
