This may just be the BIology major in me but there are more sources of energy for living organisms than just sunlight. Reduction-oxidation reactions are a part of photosynthesis. On it's own it is just a normal reaction.

It seems to me that claiming this page is satire is your last resort so you don't have to admit to having been ignorant. Satire makes fun of things consistently. You learned from certain ignorances and took certain statements back. Something which a satirical site wouldn't do, because it no longer makes fun of certain aspects of a subject (in this case, the ignorance on the subject of the LGBTQ+). So, either you're inconsistently (and shittily) satirical, or trying to cover up your ignorance.
