‘apagando las luces’ hex
this hex will ‘hack’ your target’s life. it will cause them minor inconveniences as often as possible, like making them lose their keys or constantly sleep in past their alarm. it causes many minor disruptions in your target’s life. it’s not very powerful, but if you want to cause your target some frustration and annoyance, this should work pretty well for it.
materials: -paper -marker -black candle -purple candle steps: -write your target’s name on the paper -place the candles on top of the paper and light them -in your mind, visualize yourself hacking your target in the same way sombra hacks her enemies -when finished visualizing, whisper ‘apagando las luces’ and blow out the candles
Hi, cuties! Today’s jar is something that is all about moving on, letting go, and healing! I know we have all suffered a broken heart before, so I made a little something special to help!
First, I want to start off by saying that it DOES get easier, and I know it hurts right now, but with time, it gets easier. It’s important to love yourself right now and not forget that your self worth doesn’t come from other people! Let’s get on to the jar!
sea salt - for purification
sage - to banish negativity
thyme - to help you move forward
rosemary - for matters of the heart
orange peel - for emotional peace
For this jar, it is so important to focus that intent and believe it! Imagine yourself happy, full of life without the person, speak truths about yourself and what you are and who you can be without this person! You can say things like–
“Without xxx I am still beautiful.” “I release myself from the pain of this relationship” “I no longer am bound by pain from xxx” “I have moved on to greater things. “I deserve better, I will have better.” Don’t forget, you don’t have to have someone’s approval to be happy or worth anything! You are beautiful and talented and amazing, you rock, and you will be happy again! You can also write a little freedom statement and roll it up and put it in your bottle if you would like!
After you are finished, you can cork and seal up your bottle with wax, I use colors in correspondence with my intent, this one being pink (I wanted to use silver but I can’t find silver candles?!) I have a tutorial for how to seal bottles like this here.
Feel free to tag me in your recreations! I love to see them! You can also find my other bottles here.
I hope this was helpful! I’m open for questions if you have any!
xoxo.
Making Fabric Poppets
I want to teach you all how I make my fabric poppets, and how you can make your own too. Here is my post detailing all of what I do to make my adorable plush fabric poppets.
I also sell them if making them yourself is too much fuss for any reason. Here are details.
——Supplies——
- Fabric of your choice- My fabric of choice is fleece. The fabric should be a color you can match with your intent, personality, etc.
- Person-shaped pattern to trace- You can use a gingerbread man cookie cutter to make your paper pattern, free hand, or if you like you can use mine which I will gladly sell you a copy of- message me for details.
- Needle and thread- You can use different thread colors for different intentions.
- Stuffing and any extras- herbs, objects, etc.
- A marker of a similar but darker color than the fabric
- Scissors
-Step 1-
Lay out your fabric. Lay down the poppet pattern on the fabric. I prefer to weight them down with rocks so they don’t shift. (You can of course choose rocks that match your intent.)
-Step 1.5-
I then trace the patter with a maker that is of a similar color to the fabric, but off enough that I can see it. Don’t worry about being super clean with your lines because they will be hidden in the inside seams.
-Step 2-
Next, to sew the pieces together. Place them together so that the side with the marker line faces out.
Then, grab your needle and thread. Thread your needle.
Be sure to have a piece of thread to work with that is about as long as your arm. This should be enough for the whole poppet, but make sure to have more on hand just in case.
-Step 3-
Start your sewing in the place where the opening will end later. I typically choose the “armpit” of the poppet because then the opening gives me great access to all of its insides for later.
I use a kind of slip stitch for sewing. Really any stitch will do, but I will show you mine. I put the needle all the way through both pieces of fabric to make a loop, and before tightening I stick the needle through the loop, then tighten. This makes a kind of knot that is durable and nice looking. Here’s a picture:
Aside- Why I hand sew- I find the process of hand sewing to be not only relaxing but also more magical. I can focus on my intentions while I sew, and with each stitch I’m fastening my energy into it. This is by no means the only way you can sew them together, but it is my personal preferred way.
Continue sewing around to join the two pieces of fabric. **Remember to leave a 1.5in opening! Also leave your thread attached!** This is the only way to turn it inside out and hide the seams.
- Step 4-
Turn it inside-out. Reach inside and grab the top of the poppet’s head and pull it through the hole like shown. You may need to poke around a bit to make sure everything is fully turned right-side-out.
-Step 5- Once right-side-out, your poppet is ready for stuffing. Start with the appendages first, that way you can make sure they are well-fluffed. After that, if you want add in balls of stuffing in the places of major organs to make it more human. (A ball for a brain, a ball for a stomach, that kind of thing)
If you like, add in herbs or objects for your intent, or keys to link the poppet with the person that you’re targeting. Consider positions of the objects and herbs inside the poppet and the significance. I added rose petals in the head and heart of this one, and mint and rosemary in the stomach. That gives it some symbolism, and what witch doesn’t enjoy symbolism?
-Step 6- When it is stuffed to satisfaction, sew up the opening with the same stitch we sewed with before flipping it. This leaves a rough edge, and I actually like it that way. It makes it easier to cut open the stitching if you ever wanted to for any reason. I can’t be the only person that’s wanted to rip someone’s stuffing out (there’s a curse idea) so I hope you find it useful too.
Do a couple more stitches to assure your thread isn’t going anywhere and then cut it off.
Ta-da! A perfect poppet for all of your witchcraft needs.
Happy crafting!

Remember to always dilute your essential oils with a carrier oil.
Oils you should avoid that are known to cause skin irritation, but not limited to: basil, oregano, thyme, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, black pepper, and bay.

Worship for Chthonic Deities
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
Chthonic (or chthonian) deities are are Gods that dwell beneath the earth. This includes any Underworld deities, as well as deities that are associated with the Underworld (Gods like Hecate would be included, since They often visit the Underworld). Some of you may have noticed that there’s hardly any information on how to worship certain chthonic deities. Here, I give you some starting tips:
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
With most chthonic deities, offerings are usually poured down instead of sent up. This means incense is a less common offering, as you want to offer things that are poured down into the earth, where They symbolically reside. I usually offer oils (often olive oils) and teas. Other offerings may include wine, juice, blood and essential oils. I pour the physical remains into the earth after ritual–just make sure you’re not harming any nature when you’re doing this!
I know that in some pantheons, it’s common to take a sip of a drink before offering it to a heavenly deity. With chthonic deities, don’t take a sip before you offer it. It’s traditional to offer the entire drink to Them. (I got such a death glare from Hades when I didn’t do this correctly pun intended).
If you God is associated with the dead, cleaning up cemeteries and tending to old graves are GREAT versions of philanthropic worship!
Stones are often used with chthonic deities, in spells aided by Them and on Their altar. Check your deity’s symbols for appropriate stones, but in general, any dark, jagged stone works best (such as obsidian and smoky quartz).
You may make an altar to chthonic deities easily. Black, grey, metallic, and purple candles are common (depending on your God). Stones, money, any bones (or representations of bones) you have, and items passed down in your family (a form of ancestral worship) also work well on the altar!
You may create an altar to spirits of the dead or your ancestors too if you wish!
Remember that the element of earth is sacred to most chthonic deities as well. Using dirt, herbs and any other earth elemental magic works in devotion to Them.
Although spirit work is common with chthonic deities, it is not required. Again, spirit work is not required. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it, don’t.
If you do pursue spirit work, treat them kindly but remember that some spirits do lie. Pendulums, tarot, astral projection, and offerings work well as beginning spirit work.
If you don’t feel comfortable using your blood in magic, don’t. It is not required.
You do not have to be a certain type to witch, or even a witch, to worship a chthonic deity.
Do not forget to study up on your God! Learn their stories, associations, powers, and traditions. All chthonic deities are different!
And finally, but most importantly, talk to Them. Talk to Them silently, out loud in front of an altar, or write to Them in a journal (which I do all the time). They are Gods, so They will listen to you, and respond when They think best.
💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀・:*:・゚★💀
OP NOTE: Your worship is YOUR worship. This post is a guide for people who have had trouble finding information on worship for their deities. It is not law. You worship how you feel best, and it’ll be worth more than anyone else’s advice will.
Also, thank you for the encouragement, @daisy-witch! You’re super cool and I hope this helps! (/・v・)ノ.:*・°💀
All About Auras
An aura could best be described as the energy given off by someone or something. Supposedly, everything has an aura, even an apple. Many people are able to either see or ‘sense’ auras, which may appear as a haze of light or colour surrounding something.
The colour an aura appears can have many correspondences, which can relate to someone’s mood or spirituality, or can be because of external factors such as light intensity. It’s even said to be possible to tell if someone is pregnant from the way their aura appears.
Common misconceptions about auras:
It is always the same colour. - This is untrue, as auras tend to change colour when affected by many different factors. However one colour may be dominant.
It is always the same shape and texture. - Nope, they could appear hazy, smooth, or spiky. Some could have auras spanning an inch from their bodies, but others could have auras reaching out to a metre.
There is scientific evidence for auras. - Again, untrue. Despite many people being able to see auras, there is no way to measure them or comprehend why it is even there.
Your aura is a shield. - Whilst it’s possible to utilise your energy to shield yourself from things through visualisation, your aura alone is by no means a barrier against spirits and vampire-like entities looking to ‘feed off’ your energy. Learn how to ward yourself.
There is only one colour at a time. - Your visible aura can actually be a mix of colours. However, there are also seven different extents of your aura, ranging from physical to spiritual, which could all be a different colour at one time.
It is especially important to note that auras are constantly changing. This could be seen as Anicca, or impermanence, in which the Buddha taught that nothing is permanent and everything is constantly changing. The aura reflects this truth in ourselves and those around us.
Seeing Your Aura
Some people are able to see auras with ease without a whole lot of practice, whereas others might never be able to comprehend the aura. It is common for many witches to practice with seeing their aura.
Here is a simple exercise which will help you to begin seeing your aura. This is what I tend to get people to do often when starting with auras. If inexperienced, it is important to practice often in order to get better!
You may want to begin by meditating or casting a circle in order to have a better focus on your aura. Make sure you are calm and in the mindset to concentrate.
Find a blank area, such as a white wall or a sheet of paper, and hold your hand out to it. It is important that you don’t get distracted by the colour of the wall or anything on it.
Rather than focusing directly onto your hand, shift your gaze to look just past it. For instance just past your fingers, but not the space directly between your fingers.
Focus on this space. To avoid distracting yourself, practice steady breathing as you would in meditation.
Eventually, you should begin to see a haze of light surrounding your hand. At first it may appear small and even colourless, but keep practicing and you will start to see it even better.
Colour Correspondences
The colour of an aura can have many connotations, and can be dictated by thr shape and texture too. But here is a guide to help you with the typical deciption of simple aura colours.
RED -
Centred/grounded, passion, anger, energetic.
ORANGE -
Power, confidence, outgoing, good health.
YELLOW -
Spiritual awakening/awareness, playful, happiness.
GREEN -
Healing, good communication, jealousy.
BLUE -
Intuition, calm, clairvoyance, honesty, fear of the future.
PURPLE -
Daydreaming, spirituality, artistic, psychic abilities.
WHITE -
Newness, purity, reaching enlightenment, angelic.
BLACK -
Negative feelings, blocked energy, potential illness.
BROWN -
Grounded, tied to the outdoors, afraid to let go.
PINK -
Loving, sensual, psychic gifts, dishonesty.
SILVER -
Physical and spiritual wealth, awakening of higher thought.
GOLD -
Enlightenment, protection from divine entities, guidance.
RAINBOW -
A rainbow aura can indicate a healer, a new soul, or reaching enlightenment.
Sun & Fire Incense 🌞
I made this incense for my midsummer celebrations but figured since it has a lot of solar/fire energy, it can be used in spells needing those energies! It’s incredibly simple.
What you need:
Dragon’s Blood Resin
Sandalwood Powder
Dried Juniper Berries
Sun Water
Sunflower or Dandelion Oil (I used Dandelion)
What you do:
Crush the Dragon’s Blood and Juniper into the finest powder you can make it (the finer, the better), then add the Sandalwood powder and mix these together into a small bowl.
Add three drops of the oil and a couple drops of the sun water to form a stiff, semi-dry sort of paste. You don’t want it to be runny or too wet because your cones won’t form properly.
Add the “batter” onto parchment, and using your hands, form it into cones, then dry it in the sun.

Tips for Beginner Green Witches
Sometimes you just don’t know where to start! I hope that this post will help some beginner green witches 💚
Beginner-Friendly Plants :
Dandelions - Good friends! They are plentiful and they help the environment so much. Often mistaken for weeds! They can be used in wish spells or divination
Marigolds - Very, very easy to grow. Repels all kinds of pests, wonderful to have a hedge of in your garden! Good in spells concerning legal matters and protection.
Spider plants - Kind, air-purifying friends that happily grow anywhere. They produce so many pups, you’ll really only need to buy one! Good for spells concerning warding, banishing, and cleansing (of oneself or a room)
Succulents (esp Echeveria and Sempervivum) - They need little more than a sunny window and periodic watering, and they are so nice to have around! Good for spells concerning the home and protection (of said home, or loved ones)
Tomatoes - If you’re starting a garden, it’s pretty hard to screw up tomatoes (it’s okay if you do, tho, I did too.) You get delicious fruit and once they’re done, they can be plowed back into the soil for nutrients. Good for spells involving love and fertility (more than just making children!)
Lettuce - Easy to propagate from storebought produce (though it’s better to start from a seed) and it’s delicious! (Spray it with garlic water to keep pests off, surround with marigold hedge.) Good for spells involving wealth and self love
Advice :
Remember to water your plants! This is something even I forget to do, so it’s important building healthy habits
Don’t use pesticide/herbicide! They’re super, super awful for the environment. There are tons of natural alternatives
I can personally vouch for the Epsom salts, vinegar, and dish soap herbicide recipe!
These aren’t the only plants you’re limited to, I encourage you to branch out
Look into companion planting, your babes will help protect each other. There are lots of great charts
Astrology has lots of guides for when to plant your babes, if you’re into that (I am)
Talking and singing to your plants does in fact help them grow. Even if you’re bad at it, or don’t know what to say. They enjoy listening
Green thumbs, red palms
No one is born with a green thumb. I have killed my fair share of plants, I have stumbled and fallen in my craft. But I’ve been at it for a while! You’ll get there, I promise
Have no mercy when pulling weeds or killing pests in your garden
If your plants die even when you’re doing everything right, they have taken a curse or ill will in your place
Prune your plants (especially your house plants) often. They help to get bad vibes from your home, so it gets stored in the dead bits
Don’t ever plant mint in the ground. It’ll take over your garden, your yard, your life. It becomes a hellish nuisance you can’t get rid of. Just, don’t. Please.
Beginner witch’s glossary of commonly used terms
This isn’t complete; it is generally for beginner use so they can familiarise themselves with some of the terminology which often pops up around tumblr, in books, etc.
Altar- A space where you can conjure spells, or worship deities. This is where tools are presented and can be decorated in any way. Often these can be in the form of a travel altar.
Black Salt- A powdery substance made from the ashes of incense and salt. Used to banish negativity and can be used in spells.
Book of Shadows- A book which contains personal information and connections to witchcraft; a journal for witches. It can contain anything you wish.
Charging- To fill an object or spell with power. It can be charged with positive energy or can be charged to become aligned with a certain purpose.
Circle Casting- Creating a space around yourself when performing a spell, which is closed off until the spell is complete, to contain power and protect the caster. It is often done with a wand.
Cleansing- To clean an object that has been used for witchcraft or divination purposes; for example cleansing crystals or tarot cards after use.
Correspondence- A connection or close similarity with elements, deities, objects, etc. For example Aphrodite’s correspondences would be things like pink, roses, love, Venus, apples, honey, etc.

Deity- A god or goddess. The plural for this word is Deities.
Divination- A practise widely used in witchcraft, although it is separate. It is an umbrella term for many specific practises such as Tarot, Pendulum reading, Bibliomancy, Runes, Shufflemancy, Tasseomancy, Scrying, etc.
Familiar- An animal/ plant/spirit of any form which has a special magical connection with you. They are able to walk through a cast circle without breaking it, and will be forever bonded to you magically. A familiar will find you
Grimoire- This is similar to a Book of Shadows; except it does not contain personal information, but instead acts as a reference book which you would fill with correspondences, information on your craft and often contains spells. The two types of book can be combined however.
Grounding- Syncing yourself with the earth or another source of energy either physically or mentally before performing a spell.
Incantation- A line or verse of words that are carefully put together to bring energy and power to a spell.
